'nuff said about that.

NEW ORLEANS -- Meanwhile, US District Judge Martin Feldman in New Orleans overturned a moratorium on new drilling....

Feldman has reported extensive investments in the oil and gas industry, including owning less than $150,000 of Transocean stock, according to financial disclosure reports for 2008, the most recent available. He did not return calls for comment on his investments....

Probably why the Globe took the story down, huh?

In Florida, thick pools of oil washed up along miles of national park and Pensacola Beach shoreline, as health advisories against swimming and fishing in the once-pristine waters were extended for 33 miles east from the Alabama/Florida border.

The beach looked as if it had been paved with a 6-foot-wide ribbon of asphalt....

And that is just the beach; imagine what is happening under the water.

See:
Obama's Asphalt Ocean

Yup, his legacy save a Third World War that destroys the planet.

Kenneth Feinberg, the Obama administration's special master on executive compensation, will step down from that post by the end of August to focus on his new job as the government-appointed administrator of BP's $20 billion fund to pay claims stemming from the spill, Treasury spokesman Andrew Williams said yesterday.

Time for lunch, folks:

"Frozen chicken dinners, SpaghettiOs recalled" by Associated Press | June 19, 2010

WASHINGTON — Two popular grocery items are being pulled off the shelves — SpaghettiOs that weren’t adequately heated during processing, and Marie Callender frozen dinners that pose a salmonella risk.

The Department of Agriculture announced both recalls. ConAgra Foods is recalling all Marie Callender’s brand cheesy chicken and rice frozen meals after they were possibly linked to a salmonella outbreak in 14 states. Campbell Soup Co. is recalling 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with meatballs after a cooker malfunctioned.

Believe it or not, those are some of the cans I stockpiled for the coming economic calamity.

ConAgra said it was recalling the meals labeled “Marie Callender’s Cheesy Chicken and Rice White Meat Chicken and Broccoli over Rice Topped with Rich Cheddar Sauce,’’ regardless of production date....

I don't eat those anyway.

"Setbacks on cleanup swell frustration with BP; Judge defiant on drill ban; oil reaches Fla." by Michael Kunzelman, Associated Press | June 25, 2010

Why no rip job on this one?

NEW ORLEANS — Earlier this month, BP boldly predicted the oil gushing from the bottom of the sea would be reduced to a “relative trickle’’ within days, and President Obama told the nation last week that as much as 90 percent would soon be captured. But those goals seemed wildly optimistic yesterday after yet another setback a mile underwater.

Is THAT what they are calling LIES now?

A deep-sea robot bumped into the cap collecting oil from the well, forcing a temporary halt Wednesday to the company’s best effort yet to contain the leak.

Seriously, they are not selling
that one, are they?

I guess after all the other lies, yeah, they would.

The cap was back in place yesterday, but frustration and skepticism were running high along the Gulf Coast....

Even before the latest setback, the government’s worst-case estimates suggested the cap and other equipment were capturing less than half of the oil leaking from the sea floor. And in recent days, the “spillcam’’ video continued to show gas and oil billowing from the blown-out well.

BP officials said they sympathized, and laid out in new detail the company’s plans to have additional ships in place that can capture even more oil....

In other developments:

The spill began arriving in sheets of oil on the Florida coast, forcing the closing of Pensacola Beach near the Alabama line, the first Florida beach to close since the accident more than nine weeks ago, and fouled some of Mississippi’s most fertile coastal waters.

The federal judge who struck down the Obama administration’s six-month ban on deep-water drilling in the gulf refused to stay his ruling while the government appeals.

Environmental groups asked the court to release additional information about US District Judge Martin Feldman’s holdings in oil-related stocks.

At nearly every important juncture since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded April 20, killing 11 workers, the government’s and BP’s estimates on the size of the spill, its effect on wildlife, and the time frame for containing it have spectacularly missed the mark....

Umm, we CALL THEM LIES here because the same is true on wars, the economy, environment, and anything else you name!

Obama used the 90 percent figure last week in his first address from the Oval Office and after meeting with BP officials at the White House, saying the company had informed him that was how much of the oil could be kept out of the water within weeks.

So Obama was just repeating what BP wrote, 'er, told him, huh?

“It just doesn’t look like that’s in the cards,’’ said Ed Overton, a retired professor of environmental science at Louisiana State University. “We’re not even close to that, and the word today is that they were capturing less than the day before. I was hoping the president knew something that the rest of us didn’t know. I mean, he was talking to the big shots.’’

They lie to you; why wouldn't they lie to him?

BP has proved they are bigger than any president.

BP said yesterday....

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Good one, MSM!!!

Government estimates are....

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!

Please, stop it, ha-ha-ha!!!

Yeah, what is a $180-BILLION OIL COMPANY to do?

"Offshore insurance shrinks amid spill" by Bloomberg News | June 25, 2010

BP’s rig explosion that caused the worst oil spill in US history is set to curtail insurance coverage for offshore drilling, forcing companies to self-insure or exit deepwater fields.

BP’s leak in the Gulf of Mexico is “a market-changing event,’’ said Dieter Berg, senior executive manager marine at Munich Re, the world’s biggest reinsurer and among those exposed to losses. “Buyers and sellers of coverage will be reevaluating their appetites for offshore energy risk,’’ said Berg in an e-mail response to questions.

Proposals in Congress to raise liability costs to $10 billion to drill for oil in the gulf could leave just three companiesBP, Exxon Mobil, and Royal Dutch Shellwith the finances to self-insure, energy consultant PFC Energy said....

And then there were three!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Insurers are reassessing how much they can afford to underwrite as the incident exposes higher liabilities than previously thought, said Gregory Thomas, head of offshore activities at Assuranceforeningen Skuld, an Oslo-based underwriter.

Insurers are charging 50 percent more for policies covering oil rigs in deep waters since the BP leak, Moody’s Investors Service said on June 3.

Update: La. may have been unprepared for handling spill (By Campbell Robertson and John Collins Rudolf, New York Times)

Now the NYT is blaming the state of Louisiana for this?

Pffffffffttt
!!!

In other news: The first tropical depression of the Atlantic season formed in the Caribbean, raising concerns about what might happen to efforts to contain the oil if bad weather forces BP to abandon its effort. It’s still too early to tell exactly where the storm might go and how it might affect oil on and below the surface of the Gulf.

Well,
not really, but that's AmeriKa's MSM for you.

It took 13 reporters to contribute to a watered down version of the Gulf Disaster. Given that they use the word "spill" and defend the use of dispersants, you know this is Operation Mockingbird keeping the population dumbed down. Quite frankly, it's an embarrassment given the information available on the internet. Hopefully, it will add to their decline in credibility. --
