The E.U. Sanctions Sieve

"The new EU sanctions will now be passed on to government technical specialists to work out the specifics of which companies and products would be targeted, and how. This could be a tricky procedure, given the different economic interests of EU countries involved."

It will take a while for this distorted, war-promoting PoS to be spun that way.

Good thing U.S. never considers economic interests when debating issues of war and peace. AmeriKa has nothing but pure altruism (in service to Israel, of course) in its heart.

"EU approves new sanctions on Iran to deter nuclear program; Move comes after the US adopted similar measures" by Slobodan Lekic, Associated Press | June 18, 2010

BRUSSELS — The European Union yesterday adopted new sanctions against Iran, the latest in a series of measures taken by the international community in an effort to halt the country’s nuclear program.

You would have thought so, given that sanctions need time to work.

With three Israeli subs like the ones that sunk the South Korean ship that so reminded us all of Israel's attack on the U.S.S. Liberty some 43 years ago.

The restrictions come on top of a fourth round of sanctions imposed last week by the UN Security Council to curtail Iran’s nuclear program over fears it is developing weapons.

Yes, they are not actually making weapons but because a certain little stain of a nation no considers them their top enemy (remember when it was Saddam and that's why we had to get rid of him, America?) the world must be in fear of a lie.

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.

The council endorsed those sanctions after Iran rebuffed a plan to suspend uranium enrichment and swap its stockpiles of low-enriched uranium for fuel rods.

First of all, that is a DAMNABLE LIE!

Brazil and Turkey cut a deal and USrael said no!

And WHAT ABOUT ISRAEL, EU?

We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force…We have the capability to take the world down with us, and I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under."

Oh.

The EU “remains deeply concerned about Iran’s nuclear program, and new restrictive measures have become necessary,’’ EU president Herman Van Rompuy said after a European summit focused on economic issues.

A statement said the sanctions will target dual-use items that could be used as part of a nuclear program, and Iran’s oil and gas industry — including the “prohibition of new investment, technical assistance, and transfers of technologies.’’

Yeah, NOT WILL be used, but "could" be used.

Well, ANYTHING COULD BE, right?

I COULD DO ANYTHING but that DOES NOT MEAN I AM, war press.

Iran’s shipping and air cargo companies will be blacklisted and banned from operating in EU territory....

I have a BETTER IDEA for you, EU!!

See: THE ‘BLOCKADE’ OF OAKLAND CALIFORNIA PORT

Which Side Are You On?

Yeah, how about BLACKLISTING the MOSSAD MOVERS instead!

The United States, Israel, and the EU fear that Iran will continue to upgrade its uranium enrichment program until it can produce a nuclear weapon.

Those are the two things my papers are most full.

Yeah, NO PROBLEM with someone who HAS THEM trying to SELL THEM, 'eh, EU?

Iran vehemently denies the charge, saying that its program is intended for peaceful purposes such as energy generation, and that it has the right to enrich uranium under the international nonproliferation treaty.

Which is all true and why it is only one paragraph in the agenda-pushing, war-promoting newspaper.

Iran’s parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani said that Tehran would retaliate against the EU for additional sanctions.

“Europeans should not think of imposing sanctions on Iran following the UN Security Council resolution,’’ the country’s official news agency quoted him as saying. “In case of imposing sanctions by the EU, Iran will consider the issue of reciprocity.’’ He did not elaborate.

He means they will CUT OFF the OIL!

The new EU sanctions will now be passed on to government technical specialists to work out the specifics of which companies and products would be targeted, and how.

This could be a tricky procedure, given the different economic interests of EU countries involved.

But why let that ruin a perfectly good piece of war propaganda.

Update: IDF strengthening ties with Chinese military

"Translation: this meeting is about briefing Chinese leadership on the impending military attack against Iran. And one has to wonder, in light of the very intense integration between the US and Israeli military, just what American military technology Tel Aviv is offering the Chinese military this time as the "bribe" not to interfere with this impending attack?!?" -- Wake the Flock Up
