Palestine President Appeals to Psychopaths

Then he's either senile, an idiot, or a tool.

"Palestinian leader talks to Israeli newspapers; Border, security top issues, he says" by Amy Teibel, Associated Press | July 2, 2010

JERUSALEM — The Palestinian president made a fresh bid to win over public opinion in Israel by giving a rare interview to Israeli journalists in which he cast himself as a serious partner for peace talks.

How about WINNING OVER your OWN PEOPLE first?

Didn't you LOSE the LAST ELECTION?

Now we can all SEE WHY!!!

Abbas gave the interview, reported in major Israeli newspapers yesterday, as Washington’s special Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, visited the region to try to find enough common ground to allow direct talks to resume....

The newspaper interview with President Mahmoud Abbas marked his first direct attempt to explain his government’s positions to Israelis.

“Don’t let me lose hope,’’ the 75-year-old Palestinian leader told the Haaretz newspaper....

Where has he been for the last three years? A West Bank bunker?

During the three-hour interview Wednesday in his office in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Abbas told Israeli journalists that borders of a future Palestinian state and security relations with Israel are the two issues on the table, and that if an agreement on them is reached, direct talks can resume.

Israel has never agreed to borders because they want to take it all.

Abbas also said he proposed to Netanyahu that an international force reinforce Palestinian security in a future state.

Why?

Why should a Palestinian nation be denied sovereignty?

That's the "deal!"

“I’m still waiting to receive an answer or some sort of sign from him,’’ the Hebrew-language daily Maariv quoted Abbas as saying.

Don't worry, you will be getting one soon.

“President Abbas is trying to reach out to the Israeli public,’’ said his top aide and chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat. “He wanted to say that we want an Israeli partner for the end game, a partner that chose peace, not settlement — peace, not occupation.’’

I view that guy more and more as a talking fool.

How many times must someone crap in your face before you say f*** it?

And HOW ABOUT REACHING OUT to YOUR BROTHERS in HAMAS?

********

Speaking late yesterday, Netanyahu appeared to respond to Abbas’s move by repeating his call for direct peace talks.

“I would say to President Abbas that the best way to convince Israelis that you are serious about peace is to begin serious, direct peace negotiations,’’ he said....

Did you hear an insignificant insect buzz like me?

Or ever, for that matter -- something they are making quite clear with the bulldozers.

ATHENS — In the West Bank, Israel has started construction on a new section of its separation barrier that Palestinian residents say could sound a death knell for their hamlet.

And for PEACE TALKS!

Btw, we call it the APARTHEID WALL around here because THAT is what it IS!

The barrier, running much of the length of the West Bank, has disrupted lives in many Palestinian towns and villages in its path.

And not only that, it ENCROACHES INTO PALESTINIAN TERRITORY!

That's the idea, yeah!

But it threatens to smother Walajeh: The community of about 2,000 on the southwest edge of Jerusalem is to be completely encircled by a fence cutting it off from most of its open land, according to an Israeli Defense Ministry map.

You know, like a CONCENTRATION CAMP would be!

“We will cling to the village by our teeth,’’ said Adel Atrash, a village council member. “But we don’t know how the next generation will look at things.’’

If there IS a NEXT GENERATION!

Israel began building the barrier in 2002, saying it would be a temporary bulwark against Palestinian suicide bombers and gunmen.

"Israel razes 6 East Jerusalem sites; Palestinians say three structures were homes" by Diaa Hadid, Associated Press | July 14, 2010

JERUSALEM — Israeli bulldozers destroyed six buildings in contested East Jerusalem yesterday, resuming the demolition of Palestinian property after a halt aimed at encouraging peace talks.

Just after Bibi returned from meeting with Obama!

Jerusalem house demolitions are a volatile issue because of conflicting Israeli and Palestinian claims to the city’s eastern sector. Israel sees it as part of its capital city, while Palestinians want it for their future capital.

The municipality contended none of the structures razed was a home and that all had been illegally built and were not populated. The demolitions were carried out by a court order, the municipality said in a statement.

Palestinians disputed those assertions, saying three of the demolished structures were homes and one was a warehouse. Two daybeds and bags crammed with children’s clothing and kitchen utensils were strewn outside one of the buildings.

Basem Isawi, 48, an unemployed contractor, stood stony-faced amid the rubble of his nearly finished home, forbidding his six children to come out of the nearby house where they currently live to see what had happened to it....

“We watched them destroy the house, and we couldn’t do anything,’’ Isawi said. Police said the demolitions were carried out without incident.

Since October, no houses had been demolished in the eastern sector of the city until yesterday. The demolitions seemed to indicate a move away from the unofficial freeze on them, which Israel imposed after much criticism from Washington.

On Monday, a Jerusalem municipal committee gave preliminary approval to 32 apartments in a Jewish neighborhood in East Jerusalem, rolling back a decision earlier this year to quietly put new projects on hold.

And in recent weeks, the municipality has begun demolishing small, uninhabited structures, such as sheds, built without permits....

Saeb Erekat, an aide to Palestine’s president, Mahmoud Abbas, condemned the demolitions. “This government of Israel has been given the choice between settlements and peace and it is obvious that it chose settlements,’’ he said.

And after that comes extermination.

The office of Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, would not comment yesterday.
