"Libyan group aims to break Gaza blockade" by Bloomberg News | July 10, 2010
LONDON — An aid organization led by a son of Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy said it was sending a ship loaded with food and medicine to the Gaza Strip in an effort to break Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian enclave.
Yesterday, crew members were preparing the vessel to leave from the Greek port of Lavrio, the Khadafy International Charity and Development Association said in a statement on its website.
The ship is carrying about 1,000 tons of basic foods, medicine, and baby milk, along with people who want “to participate in this humanitarian work,’’ said the charity, which is chaired by Saif Al-Islam Khadafy and based in Tripoli.
Israel loosened its restrictions on the shipment of some goods into Gaza by road after international criticism over a May 31 Israeli commando raid on a flotilla of aid ships trying to breach the embargo.
Nine pro-Palestinian activists from Turkey were shot dead aboard one of the vessels during the operation in international waters.
ONE was an AMERICAN!
Israel maintains a naval blockade of Gaza.
There was no immediate reply from the Israeli Foreign Ministry to a telephone message seeking comment on the latest voyage.
They are NEVER GOING TO STOP so MAYBE YOU SHOULD, Israel!
A spokesman for Greece’s Foreign Ministry, Grigoris Delavekouras, declined to comment on the Libyan group’s trip.
Their debt crisis is bad enough; they don't need any more Zionist bankers putting the screws to 'em.

Takes a while when you travel by sea:
ATHENS — A ship commissioned by a Libyan charity organization left Greece on yesterday for the Egyptian port of al-Arish, with cargo intended for the Gaza Strip, Greek authorities said.
The Moldovan-flagged cargo ship Amalthea left about 8 p.m. from the port of Lavrio, southeast of Athens, carrying 2,000 tons of food and medical supplies for Gaza, mostly donated by Greek companies and charities, organizers said.
God Bless them!
In addition to 15 volunteers — all from Libya except for a Nigerian and one Moroccan — the ship has a crew of 12 from Cuba, Haiti, India, and Syria....
With a Syrian on board I'm sure it's a terrorist ship.
Foreign ministry spokesman Grigoris Delavekouras said Greece’s deputy foreign minister, Dimitris Droutsas, had discussed the ship’s planned trip with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman of Israel on Friday.
Youssef Sawani, executive director of the Gadhafi International Charity and Development Foundation, which has mounted the aid operation, said the ultimate aim remained to unload the supplies in Gaza....
Sawani said said the ship would not seek confrontation with the Israelis.
If Israel does not allow the ship into Gaza, the group will seek “any other appropriate destination to deliver the goods to the people in need,’’ Sawani said.
The Amalthea’s trip comes more than a month after Israel boarded Gaza-bound ships, killing eight Turks and a Turkish-American on one of them.
Oh, they get it right this time!
The flotilla was trying to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza.
“I think the Israelis need to understand we are not provoking any kind of action, we are not in military action, we are a peaceful, humanitarian organization,’’ said Sawani.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the monsters to "understand."
The Amalthea’s trip is expected to last about 80 hours, according to the organizers, which means it will arrive at al-Arish early Wednesday....
I will be WATCHING for the REPORT, Globe!
So it is planning on docking in Egypt not Gaza?
"Gaza-bound aid ship diverted to Egypt" by Bloomberg News | July 14, 2010
CAIRO — A ship carrying a cargo of aid for the Gaza Strip instead is headed for the Egyptian port of Arish, Agence France-Presse said, citing an unnamed Egyptian security official.
An Israeli military official, who also spoke anonymously, said the ship’s captain had told Israel’s navy that he would head for Egypt with the cargo from the Tripoli-based Khadafy International Charity and Development Foundation.
Earlier, a representative of the group, led by a son of Moammar Khadafy, the Libyan leader, had denied the Israeli comment and said the ship would remain on course for the Gaza Strip.
Who knows what is the truth.
Whatever it is, I'm not going to find it reading an AmeriKan newspaper.
“The ship is still going to Gaza,’’ Youssef Sawani, the foundation’s executive director, said by telephone from Libya. Sawani said he had talked with the ship’s captain, the owner, and members of his organization. “The response of the ship’s captain was that the ship is still in international waters and Israel has no right to order it not to go to Gaza.’’
The group has vowed on its website to breach Israel’s naval cordon of the Palestinian enclave. Sawani said the trip was “a peaceful humanitarian mission.’’
The owner of the ship, which departed from Greece on July 10, has said he didn’t want the vessel involved in any confrontation, according to the website of the Khadafy organization, headed by Saif Al-Islam Khadafy. At least the Egyptians can run it over their side of the border.
