Ain't No Iranian Mountain Deep Enough For Israel

War within the month, readers -- as Israel contaminates the region with radiation.

The only question now is whether we get an Israeli nuke taking out a U.S. city before we go.

"Iran details plans for new nuclear facilities in mountains" by Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press | August 17, 2010

TEHRAN — Iran said yesterday it has decided where to build 10 uranium enrichment facilities inside protected mountain strongholds and will start construction on the first in March, defying international efforts to curb its nuclear program.

Enriching uranium creates fuel for nuclear power plants but can also, if taken to higher levels, produce the material for weapons.

Yeah, GOOD THING Iran ain't making one (and who could blame them if they were?)!

Iran’s growing capacity in this process is at the center of its dispute with the international community....

French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Christine Fages:

“We want Iran to respect its international obligations....’’

Go tell it to Israel.

Iran has an internationally supervised enrichment site in Natanz, in central Iran, with around 8,500 centrifuges and as well as the smaller one under construction near Qom.

Yeah, something ISRAEL does NOT HAVE!

The Islamic republic said it needs 20 large sites to meet domestic electricity needs of 20,000 megawatts in the next 15 years.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday also officially notified the government of the implementation of a law banning the government from anything except the most minimum level of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN nuclear watchdog.

The law is seen as retaliation for the sanctions and also includes a provision authorizing the Iranian government to retaliate against any countries that attempt to search its ships or airplanes for dual-use materials with inspections of their own.

As would ANY GOVERNMENT!

The Security Council resolution calls on, but does not require, all countries to cooperate in cargo inspections if there are “reasonable grounds’’ to believe the items could contribute to the Iranian nuclear program.

Iran, naturally, is doing EVERYTHING it CAN to AVOID WAR!

"In appeal to UN, Iran cites US ‘threat’; Envoy objects to Mullen remark" by Edith M. Lederer, Associated Press | August 19, 2010

UNITED NATIONS — Iran took its case against the United States to the United Nations yesterday and strongly condemned the top US military chief for saying military action remains a possibility if the country develops nuclear weapons.

I wouldn't expect them to do anything.

Iran’s acting UN ambassador, Eshagh Alehabib, said in letters circulated to the secretary general and presidents of the Security Council and General Assembly that Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other US officials and lawmakers threatened to use military action under the “totally false’’ pretense that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.

See: Mulling Over an Attack on Iran

Won't have to wait too much longer for a decision.

Mullen said earlier this month that the US military has a plan to attack Iran, although he thinks a military strike is probably a bad idea. Still, he said the risk of Iran developing a nuclear weapon is unacceptable and he reiterated that “the military option’’ remains on the table.

That's what BUSH would have said!

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned yesterday that Iran’s response to an attack would not be limited to the region, suggesting Iran would target US interests beyond the Persian Gulf.

“It’s unlikely that they [the United States] will make such a stupidity [to attack Iran], but all must know that if this threat is carried out, the field of the Iranian nation’s confrontation will not be only our region,’’ Khamenei told state television. “The area of confrontation will be much wider.’’

Yeah, they HAVE TO SAY THAT even if they are bluffing!

You do EVERYTHING YOU CAN to AVOID a WAR -- unless you WANT ONE!

He also said there will be no talks with the United States under the shadow of threats.

And we only want one because Israel does.

Khamenei, who has the final say on all state matters in Iran, apparently was referring to recent calls by the United States and other key powers for Iran to resume talks on its nuclear program following the UN Security Council’s recent vote imposing a fourth set of sanctions against the country for refusing to halt uranium enrichment.

The United States and some of its allies accuse Iran of using its civilian nuclear program as a cover to build nuclear weapons.

Btw, how did Israel get their nuclear bomb?

And then they tried to SELL IT?

Iran has denied the allegations, saying its nuclear program is geared merely toward generating electricity, not bombs.

But don't let that stop you from shoveling war-promoting s***, MSM.

Alehabib said the United States was using threatening language that violates international law and the UN Charter and goes against “global efforts to strengthen regional and international peace and security.’’ He reiterated that Iran “would not hesitate to act in self-defense to respond to any attack.’’

Khamenei said negotiations would be possible if the United States stops making threats against Iran, and he set conditions for it....

Those Muslims, always setting conditions when we neve.... pffft!

Yeah, too bad Israel's hand is firmly ensconced up the AmeriKan body politic's ass.

That means no talking, readers.
