Falling to Their Knees in Fall River

Easier to unzip the fly....

"Fall River councilor faces sex allegation; Arrested during prostitution sting" by Emma R. Stickgold, Globe Correspondent | August 9, 2010

Fall River City Councilor Brian Bigelow is scheduled to be arraigned today, accused of offering to pay an undercover female police officer for sex during a weekend prostitution sting.

Your tax dollars at work.

Why don't we just legalize the s***?

They haven't been able to stop this stuff since the beginning of time.

Bigelow, who also serves on a regional school committee and works as an internal auditor in the Bristol County sheriff’s office, was among about two dozen people arrested in the sting, according to the Associated Press....

No robberies, murders, or rapes to solve?

Bigelow was the second public official from the area south of Boston accused of such charges in recent months.

A little more than a month ago, a Taunton city councilor arrested during a similar sex sting in early May was cleared of all charges after a four-hour trial.

Tax money being wasted while clogging up the court system, isn't that great?

Daniel Barbour had been accused of trying to pick up a male undercover police officer in D.W. Field Park in Brockton.

I don't remember reading about that one.

"Taunton official acquitted in sex sting case

A Taunton city councilor arrested during a sex sting in early May was cleared of all charges Tuesday in Brockton District Court. After a four-hour trial, a judge acquitted Daniel Barbour of one charge of lewd and lascivious behavior, said Assistant Plymouth District Attorney Bridget Norton Middleton. Barbour was accused of trying to pick up a male undercover police officer in D.W. Field Park in Brockton. Barbour waived his right to a jury and pleaded not guilty. “We thought there was a sufficient evidence for a guilty finding . . . but we respect the verdict,’’ Norton Middleton said. Barbour’s arrest resulted from an effort by Brockton police to crack down on public sex and solicitation, Norton Middleton said. Barbour could not be reached for comment."
