So much for the easing of the siege.

"Electricity shut off for about 500,000

GAZA CITY — Engineers shut down Gaza City’s sole power plant yesterday because of a lack of fuel, switching off electricity to about a half-million people in the midst of a heat wave. The fuel is supplied by the rival Palestinian government in the West Bank, which says it has reduced shipments because the Hamas government is behind on payments (AP)."
