"Israelis, militants skirmish on border" February 24, 2011|Associated Press
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Israeli tank fire wounded 11 people, including at least six militants, in the Gaza Strip yesterday following an attack on an Israeli patrol, the military and Palestinian officials said.
The Israeli military said its tanks opened fire after the militants detonated a bomb targeting the Israeli patrol near the border and then fired mortars at the soldiers.
I don't believe anything the Israeli military and their AmeriKan mouthpiece say anymore.
Gaza health officials said two of the wounded militants were in serious condition. Both Islamic Jihad and Hamas militants said they fired mortars at the troops. No Israeli soldiers were hurt.
Israel and Hamas have largely observed an unofficial cease-fire since Israel ended a military offensive in Gaza two years ago. But clashes sporadically flare along the volatile border as Gaza militants fire rockets and mortars into Israel, drawing reprisals.
Yesterday’s incident marked the first time in weeks the clashes have produced casualties.
After nightfall, at least three rockets exploded in Israel’s south, Israel Radio reported. No one was hurt. The report said the rockets were Grads, which have a longer range than the homemade rockets often fired from Gaza. Two exploded near the Israeli city of Beersheba, 20 miles from Gaza.
Israeli police said one set a house on fire. Another landed near the town of Netivot.
Also yesterday, a large explosion in the southern Gaza Strip killed a 10-year-old girl and wounded two others. Gaza’s Hamas rulers said they were investigating the blast.
Internal explosions are common in Gaza. They often take place in the homes of militants, where explosives and other armaments detonate prematurely.
Israel really is writing this s***, aren't they?

"8 Palestinians hurt in clash with Israelis" March 08, 2011|Associated Press
JERUSALEM — Israeli soldiers and armed settlers fired at West Bank villagers during a clash yesterday, wounding eight, Israelis and Palestinians said.
One of the few times you read about the Zionist zettlers in the AmeriKan media. Even the term is offensive, as if no one were living there before the "settlers" took over.
A Palestinian witness said villagers were tending to trees damaged by settlers when settlers attacked them, setting off a rock-throwing clash. The witness, Ibrahim Wadi, 50, said soldiers arrived and fired at them, wounding several.
Happens way more than the AmeriKan media tells you, dear readers.
The confrontation took place near the West Bank city of Nablus.
The Israeli military said that during a clash, Palestinians threw rocks at soldiers, who tried to disperse the gathering and then opened fire at their legs. The military said settlers also fired at the Palestinians, wounding three.
Soldiers fired rubber-coated steel pellets at the Palestinians, the military said. Also, an officer fired live bullets at a Palestinian who came at him with an iron pick and another who tried to drag a settler away.
Raed Odeh, another Palestinian witness, said a settler fired an assault rifle, and soldiers used “live bullets, rubber bullets, and tear gas, everything.’’

"Hamas attacks Israel with mortar shells" March 20, 2011|By Ian Deitch, Associated Press
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants in Gaza fired more than 50 mortar shells into Israel yesterday, the heaviest barrage in two years, Israeli officials said.
?????????
A Hamas official was killed and four civilians were wounded when Israel hit back with tank fire and airstrikes, said Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Adham Abu Salmia.
Israel invaded Gaza two years ago to put a stop to daily rocket barrages by Gaza militants, and yesterday’s exchange showed how the conflict could quickly spiral out of control.
The removed Israeli government graph: 'Monthly distribution of rockets hits.'
On the 4th November, the day when Americans were watching the results of the Presidential election, the Israeli army broke the ceasefire by raiding the strip.

Had enough of the lying yet?
Gaza’s Hamas rulers are thought to be trying to avoid another Israeli invasion, after the last one caused widespread damage, killed more than 1,400, and left the territory under blockade, but Hamas claimed responsibility for some of the mortar rounds.
I notice ISRAEL'S WAR CRIME of WMD USE is NEVER MENTIONED!
The violence comes amid increasing calls for reconciliation between Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his bitter rivals, the Islamic militant group Hamas....
Yeah, isn't that ODD TIMING!?!?
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman of Israel said he will file a complaint at the UN after yesterday’s unusually large barrage....
He has some nerve! Talk about chutzpah!
Palestinians have held rallies in Gaza and the West Bank in recent days calling for the two sides to resolve their differences....

"Violence continues along Gaza border" March 21, 2011|Associated Press
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants fired two rockets into southern Israel yesterday, and Israeli troops killed two Palestinians in a new outburst along the volatile border with Gaza.
The violence came a day after Palestinian militants fired more than 50 mortar shells into Israel — the heaviest Palestinian barrage since a bruising Israeli military offensive in Gaza two years ago.
Both sides have largely honored an informal cease-fire since the 2009 war, in which about 1,400 Palestinians were killed, including militants and civilians. Israel says Hamas has rebuilt its arsenal, and a pattern of rocket attacks and Israeli reprisals has escalated in recent weeks.
The Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for yesterday morning’s rocket attack, which caused no injuries or damage.
Militants in Gaza fired another rocket into Israel in the evening, exploding near the city of Ashkelon. No one was hurt.
Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Adham Abu Salmia said rescue teams recovered the bodies of two Palestinian men who were killed overnight along the border. The Israeli military said soldiers spotted two Palestinians crawling toward the border with what appeared to be a bomb. Soldiers called on them to stop, and opened fire after they continued moving.
Most rocket attacks from Gaza since the invasion have been carried out by small militant groups, but the Islamic group claimed responsibility for some of Saturday’s mortar fire, which slightly wounded two Israelis.
Israel’s UN ambassador, Meron Reuben, sent a letter of complaint Saturday to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and to the UN Security Council, demanding that they condemn continued attacks on Israel.

"Isabel Kershner.... is an Israeli citizen.... possible family ties to the Israeli military"
Oh, one of the tough guys of the AmeriKan MSM.
JERUSALEM — A bomb exploded at a crowded bus stop near Jerusalem’s main bus station yesterday, killing one woman and injuring at least 24 other people. It was the worst attack in Jerusalem in four years, putting Israelis on alert, shattering years of relative calm here and prompting international condemnation.
Israel responded with airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
The blast and retaliation came amid rising tension between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian militants governing Gaza.
And gives Israel the justification to attack.
Cui bono?
On Tuesday, stray Israeli mortar fire killed three Palestinian youths and a 60-year-old man as Israel responded to a rocket attack. Soon afterward, the Israeli air force killed four militants in a car in Gaza, all members of Islamic Jihad. The Israeli military said the men were preparing to launch more rockets at Israel.
On Tuesday night and yesterday, Palestinian militants fired rockets deep into southern Israel, and Israel responded with airstrikes in Gaza. The spiraling violence pushed the already-dim prospects of Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations further away as talk in Israel turned to the need for firm action to restore the country’s security....
Islamic Jihad praised the Jerusalem bombing, as did the Popular Resistance Committees, another militant group. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the Jerusalem attack....
Oh, the STENCH of another FALSE FLAG!!

"Rockets from Gaza land deep in Israel; Militants strike day after bombing" March 25, 2011|By Aron Heller, Associated Press
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants in Gaza fired a new wave of rockets that landed deep inside Israel yesterday, defying Israeli retaliatory attacks and threats.
As the violence threatened to escalate the day after a deadly Jerusalem bombing, Israel got a boost from the visiting US defense chief, who said no country could tolerate the repugnant attacks on its soil.
Almost as if Israel needed to convince the visitor, 'eh? Now give us more money.
Police said....
Israeli airstrikes hit a number of Gaza targets in retaliation throughout the day.
Neither side reported injuries or said they wanted a new fight. But the new hostilities could easily spin out of control, especially if civilian deaths mount.
Wednesday’s bombing killed a British tourist, and earlier this month five members of a Jewish family were slain while they slept in a West Bank settlement earlier. Israel has blamed Palestinians for both attacks.
Yeah, they blamed Palestinians, but that doesn't mean they did it.

Also this week, Israeli shelling killed three children and their uncle in Gaza. The army said it was targeting militants.
Where is the NATO no-fly zone to protect civilians? Where is the U.N.?
The fighting in Gaza has been the fiercest since Israel went to war there to try to curb years of rocket attacks. The three-week offensive killed some 1,400 Palestinians, including hundreds of civilians. Thirteen Israelis also died. The volatile border has remained largely calm since....
Again NO MENTION of WMD USE!
Citing gag orders, Israeli security officials have said little about the investigations into Wednesday’s bus stop bombing or the knife killings two weeks ago....
Oh, yeah, this is ABSOLUTELY STINKING of FALSE-FLAG SET-UPS!!

"Israel deploys rocket defense system" March 28, 2011|Associated Press
BEERSHEBA, Israel — Israel deployed a cutting-edge rocket defense system yesterday, rolling out the latest tool in its arsenal to stop a recent spike in attacks from the neighboring Gaza Strip.
Guess who paid for it, American taxpayers.
Israel hopes the homegrown Iron Dome system will provide increased security to its citizens, but officials warned that it cannot do the job alone. The system went into operation shortly after an Israeli aircraft struck a group of militants in Gaza, killing two. Israel said they were about to fire a rocket.
The Iron Dome system has raised hopes that Israel has found a solution to years of rocket fire from Gaza. The primitive rockets have evaded Israel’s high-tech weaponry, in part because their short flight path, just a few seconds, makes them hard to track.
That must be why they rarely hit anything.
The government approved Iron Dome in 2007. Its developers have compared the effort to a high-tech start-up, working around the clock in small teams to perfect its weapons, radar, and software systems. The developer, local defense contractor Rafael, declared the system ready for use last year.
Imagine if they put such efforts into peace, huh?
Iron Dome uses sophisticated cameras and radar to track incoming rockets, determine where they will land, and destroy them far from their targets. If the system determines the rocket is headed to an open area where casualties are unlikely, it can allow the weapon to explode on the ground.
Brigadier General Doron Gavish, commander of Israel’s air defense corps, said Iron Dome has passed a series of tests and has reached its “evaluation phase’’ in the field. It is expected to be fully operational in a matter of months.
He added that it was supposed to be deployed later in the year, but was put into operation earlier because of the recent rocket attacks from Gaza.
After two years of relative calm, tensions along the Israel-Gaza border have heated up in recent weeks with Gaza militants firing deeper and more frequently into Israel, with the Israeli military striking back hard. Beersheba, more than 25 miles from Gaza, has been struck several times.
Although Gaza’s ruling Hamas militant group and Israel have both said they have no interest in escalating the situation, the renewed hostilities have fed concerns of another large-scale Israeli military operation. Yesterday, Israeli aircraft struck a Palestinian rocket squad in the Gaza Strip, killing two militants from Islamic Jihad, a smaller rival of Hamas.

"Israel retaliates after Hamas missile strike hits at school bus" by Aron Heller, Associated Press / April 8, 2011
JERUSALEM — An antitank missile fired from the Gaza Strip struck a school bus in southern Israel yesterday, wounding two people, one of them critically, and prompting fierce Israeli retaliation that killed five Palestinians.
I no longer believe it was Hamas or Palestinians. If so, they are Israeli provocateurs and not to be trusted. My suspicion is these are Zionist zettlers justifying further Israeli attacks as they get what they want. Cui bono?
Israel unleashed airstrikes and tank fire against Hamas targets across the border in the heaviest assault on the coastal territory since a broad military offensive two years ago....
The sudden outbreak of violence illustrated the fragile situation along the Israel-Gaza border, where small bouts of fighting can quickly escalate into heavy-scale warfare.
As if the two sides were comparable and evenly-matched.
After two years of relative calm, tensions have been rising between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza over the past few weeks. For Israel, yesterday’s attack was the most serious of this period.
But it also laid the groundwork for a major strategic breakthrough. The Israeli military activated a new cutting-edge missile-defense system for the first time, saying that the Iron Dome scored a direct hit on an incoming Palestinian rocket.
Remember all the lies about the Patriot Missile in Gulf War I?
The escalation has also spilled beyond Israel’s borders.
In the past month, Israel has intercepted a cargo ship that it said was carrying arms bound for Gaza, jailed an alleged Hamas rocket mastermind believed to have been captured in Ukraine, and been accused of carrying out a mysterious airstrike that killed two people in Sudan. Israel has not commented on this week’s airstrike, but officials have said they believe Sudan is a transit point for arms bound for Gaza.
Yeah, Israel can BOMB ANYBODY THEY PLEASE and NOT a PEEP from the world.
Israel’s defense minister, Ehud Barak, ordered the army to respond quickly to the attack on the school bus and said he held the Hamas militant group, which rules Gaza, responsible for the violence.
Even if they did not do it.
Btw, were the war plans already drawn up like the 2006 invasion of Lebanon?
“We will respond until it will become clear that the Hamas fully understand that we cannot accept and we will not accept such events,’’ he said at a military base in southern Israel.

"Israel continues strikes in Gaza in response to attack on school bus" April 09, 2011|By Ibrahim Barzak, Associated Press
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Israeli aircraft and tanks pounded Gaza yesterday, killing seven Hamas militants and five civilians in a surge of fighting sparked by a Palestinian rocket attack on an Israeli school bus the day before.
Israel and Gaza’s Hamas rulers seemed on the brink of another round of intense violence, just a little over two years after a three-week war in which persistent rocket fire from Gaza triggered a devastating Israeli military offensive in the territory....
Yup, the OBFUSCATIONS and LIES never CEASE her in the Zionist AmeriKan media we call a newspaper.
The early-morning attack brought the two-day death toll from Israel’s retaliation to 17 Gazans — 10 militants, a Hamas policeman, and six civilians — amounting to the bloodiest tally since Israel and Hamas wrapped up their three-week-long war more than two years ago.
The dead yesterday included three civilians killed by Israeli tank fire and three militants killed in an airstrike, both near the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis. Another militant was killed in an airstrike in northern Gaza.
Later, an Israeli tank shell struck a cemetery east of Gaza City, killing two civilians, including an 11-year-old boy, said Palestinian health official Adham Abu Salmiya. The military insisted the strike targeted militants.
Yup, KILL 'EM AGAIN even if they are ALREADY DEAD!
U.S. will need to restock Israel's aresenal, huh?
Gaza militants fired some 30 rockets and mortar shells at southern Israel yesterday, causing no injuries, the Israeli military said.
For the second day in a row, Israel’s cutting-edge Iron Dome missile defense system successfully intercepted Palestinian rockets aimed at Israeli cities, the military said. The system knocked down rockets aimed at the Israeli cities of Ashkelon and Beersheba. Reinforced rooms and early warning systems have also helped keep Israeli casualties low.
Now who will they try to sell their PoS system to?
Studies at some Israeli schools near Gaza were canceled yesterday because of concerns for the students’ safety.
Anyone concerned about Palestinian safety in my Zionist s*** sheet?
It is unclear if Hamas was trying to provoke a new conflagration, if it was fully in control of all of its fighters, or if it believes Israel would pull back before invading Gaza again....
Now WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO DO THAT when WORLD SYMPATHY is WITH THEM?
Hamas said the rocket attack was in retaliation for the killing of three fighters in an airstrike earlier in the week. At around midnight Thursday, with Gaza rocked by explosions, the organization announced a cease-fire, though it later claimed responsibility for some of yesterday’s strikes. A small PLO faction, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the radical Islamic Jihad group also said they fired at Israel.
There are your Israeli agent provocateurs.
The Israeli strikes continued, hitting Hamas facilities and smuggling tunnels, after Hamas announced its cease-fire. Electricity lines and transformers were damaged, according to Jamal Dardsawi, a spokesman for Gaza’s Electric Distribution Company.
And Gaza was already suffering shortages because of the Israeli siege.
Also yesterday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the bus attack and expressed concern over civilian casualties in Israel’s strikes. He called for “de-escalation and calm to prevent any further bloodshed.’’
What, no U.N. resolution to protect civilians or U.S. missiles strikes? WTF?

"Israel pounds targets in Gaza after more rockets fired; 5 militants killed during intense border clashes" April 10, 2011|By Ibrahim Barzak and Josef Federman, Associated Press
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Palestinian militants fired more than 30 rockets at southern Israel yesterday and Israeli warplanes killed five militants in the Gaza Strip in the most intense fighting since Israel’s 2008-2009 offensive in the Hamas-ruled territory.
The escalating series of strikes and counterstrikes has killed 18 Gazans since it began on Thursday after a Hamas missile attack against an Israeli school bus. The continuing clashes are increasing the probability of a full-scale military confrontation.
Israeli officials said the airstrikes would continue as long as the rocket attacks persist. Hamas officials insisted they were trying to restore quiet, but said they were prepared to fight....
After two years of relative calm, the situation began to deteriorate nearly three weeks ago with rocket fire toward Israel and a retaliation that killed Gazans.
It escalated dramatically last weekend when an airstrike killed three Palestinian militants who Israel said were plotting to carry out a kidnapping. On Thursday, Hamas militants fired an antitank missile at an Israeli school bus, wounding two people.
Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, vowed a harsh response.
Hamas says Israel has used excessive force in its retaliation, which has killed six civilians and wounded more than 65 people.
Gaza militants fired more than 30 rockets and more than 10 mortar shells into Israel yesterday in what Israeli police said was the biggest single-day bombardment since the Gaza war.
Several missiles fell in uninhabited areas near the southern Israeli cities of Ashkelon and Beersheba, while seven were intercepted by Israel’s new missile shield, Iron Dome. There were no reports of injuries, but damage was caused.
Iron Dome, activated this week, is the first system in the world able to knock down short-range rockets. The homegrown system could potentially alter the balance of power if it proves able to consistently stop a large number of rockets. Israeli officials stress it is still largely unproven.
This as they tout it's success. Un-flipping-real!
Thousands in Gaza attended funerals for the militants slain yesterday, among them a Hamas commander in the southern city of Rafah.
Hamas, a virulently anti-Israel militant group backed by Iran, has controlled Gaza since seizing the territory in a brief civil war against the rival Fatah faction in 2007.

Thanks again for the REPEATED OMISSIONS and LIES, AmeriKan media.

Late the following year, Israel invaded the territory to stop years of persistent rocket fire.
So when do the lies stop, 'eh? Seeing why I no longer believe the rot-gut AmeriKan media?
During the three-week operation, Israeli forces killed some 1,400 people, including hundreds of civilians, while 13 Israelis were also killed. After suffering heavy losses, Hamas has largely honored an informal truce since then.
So when is Israel going to honor it?
The level of lies and omissions is gross.

"Pro-Palestinian Italian found beaten and strangled in Gaza; Captors pressed Hamas to release leader from jail" April 16, 2011|By Joel Greenberg, Washington Post
JERUSALEM — A pro-Palestinian activist from Italy who had been abducted by an extremist group in the Gaza Strip was found strangled to death early yesterday, the first such slaying of a foreigner in the coastal territory ruled by the militant group Hamas.
WHO would want to make Hamas look bad, huh?
The body of Vittorio Arrigoni, 36, was discovered by Hamas security forces in an empty house in Gaza City a day after he had been seized, officials said.
Arrigoni had been strangled with a plastic handcuff strip, said Khalil Abu Shamala, director of Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights, who went to the scene with security officials. He said that Arrigoni’s head was bloodied, apparently from being beaten before he was killed.
An Al Qaeda-inspired group calling itself al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, or Monotheism and Holy War, had asserted responsibility for the abduction.
That would be the MOSSAD WING of "Al-CIA-Duh, " right?
The group’s leader, Sheik Abu Walid al-Maqdisi, was arrested last month by Hamas....
Excuse me? Hamas is ARRESTING "Al-CIA-Duh?"
Related: Hamas is "Al-CIA-Duh's" Enemy
Then why are they not our friend?
The kidnappers set a deadline of 5 p.m. yesterday for their leader’s release. But Arrigoni was killed hours before that. Medical findings indicated that Arrigoni was slain in the early morning, apparently when his captors learned that Hamas police were preparing to close in on their hideout, security officials said.
A member of the extremist group who had been arrested and interrogated disclosed the abductors’ location, according to a spokesman for the Hamas Interior Ministry.
I guess torture works, huh?
The spokesman, Ehab al-Ghussein, denounced the killing as “a crime that does not reflect the values, morals, religion, and customs’’ of the people of Gaza.
Arrigoni, who was also a blogger and wrote for an Italian newspaper, was in Gaza several times over the past 2 ½ years, his associates said. In 2008, he arrived on a boat bringing humanitarian supplies that Israel allowed through despite its naval blockade on Gaza. Arrigoni last returned to the area a year ago, through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
???????
Then WHY WOULD ANY PALESTINIAN want to KILL HIM?
Salafism is inspired by Wahabi Islam, the fundamentalist version of Islam that is dominant in Saudi Arabia.
Then why did AmeriKa attack Afghanistan and Iraq?
Al-Tawhid wal-Jihad and other Salafi jihadist groups have challenged Hamas in Gaza, denouncing it for halting rocket attacks against Israel under cease-fire arrangements and for participating in the past in governments with the secular Fatah movement as part of the Palestinian Authority.
Yeah, every time Palestinians might unite these a**holes throw a wrench into the works.
The Salafis have accused Hamas of failing to strictly enforce Islamic law and have attacked Internet cafes, which they view as purveyors of decadent Western culture.
More than a dozen foreign correspondents and aid workers were abducted in Gaza before Hamas seized control in June 2007. They were all released unharmed.
But now that Hamas has control they are being killed?
