Rutgers Roomates

Roll over if you don't like the late-night light.

"Rutgers OK’s male-female room sharing" by Associated Press / March 2, 2011

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — New Jersey’s flagship state university has decided to allow male and female students to share rooms in three dorms in an effort to make the campus more inclusive for gay students after a highly publicized suicide last year.

After the Kobe Bryant incident I noticed you have to bend over backwards even further than for Jews with this particular lobby.

Starting this fall, all students — whether gay, lesbian, transgender, or heterosexual — can choose either male or female roommates under the pilot program. Men and women will share bathrooms....

Call me old-fashioned, but that is just wrong.

"Roommate indicted in Rutgers suicide case" April 21, 2011|Associated Press

TRENTON, N.J. — A former Rutgers University freshman who prosecutors said used a webcam to spy on his roommate’s same-sex encounter was charged yesterday with a hate crime and accused of deleting tweets and texts to cover up his tracks.

When is someone in government going to be charged with such things?

Dharun Ravi, 19, was indicted in Middlesex County on 15 counts including bias intimidation and invasion of privacy in events that predated the suicide of 18-year-old Tyler Clementi, whose death started a national conversation on the perils of bullying

Yeah, only the government is allowed to invade your privacy.

And I was just wondering what are the PERILS of STARTING WARS over LIES? Of DROPPING BOMBS and MISSILES on people?  Of a starvation siege?

Btw, I'm not for showing up or being mean to people at all.  Seems like we have much more important things like wars, lies, and looting to worry about than who is f***ing whom.

Ravi had already faced invasion of privacy charges along with another Rutgers student, Molly Wei.

It took prosecutors months to present their case to a grand jury alleging that Ravi targeted Clementi because of his sexual orientation and tried to broadcast the encounter online to intimidate his roommate....

Why so long?

I think I'd rather sleep alone in my own room at Rutgers, thanks.

The poster girl was a bully herself?

For the record, readers, I suffered bullying in school -- until I finally had enough and flattened the guy. No one bothered me after that.
