"E.coli superbug outbreak in Germany due to abuse of antibiotics in meat production

(NaturalNews) The e.coli outbreak in Germany is raising alarm worldwide as scientists are now describing this particular strain of e.coli as "extremely aggressive and toxic." Even worse, the strain is resistant to antibiotics, making it one of the world's first widespread superbug food infections that's racking up a noticeable body count while sickening thousands.
Of course, virtually every report you'll read on this in the mainstream media has the facts wrong. This isn't about cucumbers being dangerous, because e.coli does not grow on cucumbers. E.coli is an intestinal strain of bacteria that only grows inside the guts of animals (and people). Thus, the source of all this e.coli is ANIMAL, not vegetable.
But the media won't admit that. Because the whole agenda here is to kill your vegetables but protect the atrocious practices of the factory animal meat industries. The FDA, in particular, loves all these outbreaks because it gives them more moral authority to clamp down on gardens and farms. They've been trying to irradiate and fumigate fresh veggies in the USA for years. (http://www.naturalnews.com/023015_f...)

The mainstream media is predictably pretending it has no idea where this new strain came from. They're all scratching their heads and just focusing on the "killer cucumbers" which is of course a particularly lame bit of disinfo.

"Cause of E. coli outbreak in Europe may stay unknown" by Associated Press / June 2, 2011
BERLIN — European health officials tracking one of the worst E. coli outbreaks on record might never know where it came from. It is a sad fact of life in food poisoning cases: There is often no smoking gun.
Just as the corporate media buried the story of the U.N. bringing cholera to Haiti and so many other things. The sad fact is the AmeriKan media is a PoS.
The germ has sickened more than 1,500 people, mostly in Germany. Most patients who have been interviewed said they ate lettuce, tomatoes, or cucumbers, but officials testing produce across the continent have yet to find any vegetables with the particular strain involved.
Illnesses can occur days after tainted food is eaten and leftovers thrown out, so “the trail gets cold pretty quick,’’ said Bill Marler, a Seattle attorney who specializes in food poisoning cases.
“They might never find the cause of the outbreak,’’ said Paul Hunter, professor of health protection at England’s University of East Anglia. “In most foodborne outbreaks, we don’t know definitively where the contaminated food came from.’’

The outbreak has hit at least nine European countries, but virtually all the sick people either live in Germany or recently traveled there...
Another question is why patients are suffering from kidney complications in an unusually high percentage of cases.

"Outbreak blamed on ‘super’ E.coli" by Maria Cheng and Kristen Grieshaber, Associated Press / June 3, 2011
So which government lab created it?
LONDON — Scientists yesterday blamed Europe’s worst recorded food-poisoning outbreak on a “super-toxic’’ strain of E. coli bacteria that may be brand new.
Like the swine flu!
But while suspicion has fallen on raw tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce as the source of the germs, researchers have been unable to pinpoint the food responsible for the frightening illness, which has killed at least 18 people, sickened more than 1,600, and spread to least 10 European countries.
An alarmingly large number of victims — about 500 — have developed kidney complications that can be deadly.
Maybe you could get a transplant (for the right price).
Chinese and German scientists analyzed the DNA of the E. coli bacteria and determined that the outbreak was caused by “an entirely new, super-toxic’’ strain that contains several antibiotic-resistant genes, according to a statement from BGI, a Shenzhen, China-based laboratory. It said the strain appeared to be a combination of two types of E. coli.
Oh, NOW I AM DEFINITELY SUSPECTING a LAB!
“This is a unique strain that has never been isolated from patients before,’’ said Hilde Kruse, a food safety specialist at the World Health Organization. The new strain has “various characteristics that make it more virulent and toxin-producing’’ than the many E. coli strains people naturally carry in their intestines.
However, Dr. Robert Tauxe, a foodborne-disease specialist at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, questioned whether the strain is truly new, saying it had previously caused a single case in Korea in the 1990s. He said the genetic fingerprints from the two samples may vary a little, but not enough to say that the strain in Europe is new....
Elsewhere in Europe, Russia extended a ban on vegetables from Spain and Germany to the entire European Union to try to stop the outbreak spreading east, a move the EU quickly called disproportionate and Italy’s farmers denounced as “absurd.’’ No deaths or infections have been reported in Russia....
Kruse said it is not uncommon for bacteria to evolve and swap genes. It is difficult to explain where the new strain came from, she said, but bacteria from humans and animals easily trade genes.
That is a LIE!
I do remember some things from the bird flu and swine flu scares, and THAT was ONE of them!
Then again, what else would you expect from the AmeriKan media these days?
Previous E. coli outbreaks have mainly hit children and the elderly, but this one is disproportionately affecting adults, especially women.

Exclusive Arnie Gundersen Interview: The Dangers of Fukushima Are Worse and Longer-lived Than We Think
"I have said it's worse than Chernobyl and I’ll stand by that. There was an enormous amount of radiation given out in the first two to three weeks of the event. And add the wind blowing in-land. It could very well have brought the nation of Japan to its knees. I mean, there is so much contamination that luckily wound up in the Pacific Ocean as compared to across the nation of Japan - it could have cut Japan in half. But now the winds have turned, so they are heading to the south toward Tokyo and now my concern and my advice to friends that if there is a severe aftershock and the Unit 4 building collapses, leave. We are well beyond where any science has ever gone at that point and nuclear fuel lying on the ground and getting hot is not a condition that anyone has ever analyzed."

And remember, readers, this is the same media telling you oil-soaked seafood is safe to eat.
If they are going to LIE about the MOST BASIC SAFETY ISSUES that concern us -- the food we ingest in our bodies -- what makes you think they are not lying about everything else, or even give a crap about you?
The only thing that makes me sicker than the food is the disingenuous AmeriKan media. I never feel good in the gut after consuming them.
