"Tennis coach cleared in alleged rape of teen in Dedham" by Amanda Cedrone | Globe Correspondent, June 23, 2012
A Hull tennis player was acquitted Friday of three counts of rape of a child, officials said. Louis Desmarteaux, 27, was found not guilty by a Norfolk Superior Court jury after 90 minutes of deliberation, said Melinda Thompson, Desmarteaux’s lawyer. The trial began June 13. Thompson said that Desmarteaux was accused of raping a teenage girl on three occasions between October 2008 and March 2009 in Dedham. Desmarteaux was a tennis coach for the alleged victim’s family, Thompson said. The girl was 14 and 15 years old at the time of the alleged rapes.
