Mouthing Off in Maine

I was going to read them, but....

Maine governor apologizes for ‘Gestapo’ remark

Since when have Jews had sole exclusivity to that? No, really? It's not like they were the only ones the Gestapo went after. They even went after -- gasp, Americans -- their own.

Not that one.

"LePage caused an uproar last year when he ordered the 11-panel, 7-foot-tall mural removed from a Labor Department waiting room because he considered it biased in favor of organized labor over business interests."

That's interesting because the bias exhibited by my corporate propaganda sheet is the exact opposite.

"Legislative campaigns are unusually intense this year, with Democrats hoping to wrest back from Republicans majorities they had enjoyed for decades. Republicans are hoping to build on a record of easing state regulations, tax cuts, paring welfare programs, and other changes they made during the current two-year session, the first in nearly a half century in which their party controlled the House, Senate, and the governor’s office.

"Immigrant charged as juvenile with sex crime" Associated Press, July 06, 2012

Juvenile proceedings are under way against a Somali refugee accused of sexually assaulting a 50-year-old woman. A judge dismissed charges this week brought against Mohammed Mukhtar of Portland as an adult. The judge ruled that prosecutors failed to prove that Mukhtar was an adult. He is accused of breaking into an apartment in May and assaulting a woman. Prosecutors said documents showed that Mukhtar was born on Jan. 1, 1994, which would make him 18. But Mukhtar’s attorney successfully argued that he was born on Oct. 25, 1994, making him 17."

What does his birth certificate say?
