LAX Hoax

The initial report I saw in my Boston Globe:

"A gunman armed with a semi-automatic rifle opened fire at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, killing a Transportation Security Administration employee and wounding two other people in an attack that frightened passengers and disrupted flights nationwide."

Over on the blogs discrepancies are already surfacing:

"The report that the shooter was himself TSA has been "orwellized" and the story re-written to serve the government's agenda to demonize guns, gun-owners, the patriot movement, and anyone who disagrees with the government. This is just too convenient for the government to be real! -- WhatReallyHappened

Turns out it was exactly that:

LAX Shooting: Photo of Wounded Suspect and Other Discrepancies

Three weeks ago the law enforcement involved in this active shooter scene staged the EXACT same drill at the same location. When the police chief mentioned that fact, a couple guys standing behind him seemed to be a bit exasperated at him for doing so.

The alleged shooter is, of course… “crazy”. And by that I mean, he’s a conspiracy theorist and someone who opposes the New World Order. Conveniently, he put all of that down in his “manifesto” for the authorities and our Vichy press to harp on after his big attack on the TSA at LAX.

Also notice this… “The shooter was apparently dropped off at LAX just after 9 a.m. Friday, authorities said, though they gave no details about the driver.”

Someone dropped him off at the airport with an assault rifle and a bag stuffed with extra mags of ammo… and they don’t seem concerned about who might have done that?

Lotta odd things happening with this story. And yes, it’s going to be used to create the pretext or the justification for using “mental hygiene” laws to strip “certain wrong thinking people” of their liberties and freedoms before they do anything illegal. Hell, they might even start mandating treatment in the VERY near future for people who think certain ways in America.

Now we will have the establishment of forced medication that will enrich the medical profession, if it can even be called that anymore, and lots of money for big pharma. Brave New World is on its way.

Mandated medication such as SSRIs are very probable. so are reeducation camps.

Think that is too far outside the realm of possibility?

"Gunman kills TSA officer, brings LA airport to halt; Alleged shooter, wounded by police, had assault rifle" by Jennifer Medina and Ian Lovett |  New York Times, November 02, 2013

LOS ANGELES — A 23-year-old man wielding an assault rifle and carrying 100 rounds of ammunition shot and killed a Transportation Security Administration officer at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday morning, sending travelers fleeing in panic and paralyzing one of the world’s busiest airports for hours....

The TSA agent who was killed was the first to die in the line of duty since the agency was created in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, officials said.

Thousands of travelers throughout the airport were evacuated, and flights were grounded for hours....

US officials identified the gunman as Paul Ciancia, 23, of Los Angeles, who had previously lived in New Jersey. A senior federal official said that he had a note with “antigovernment and anti-TSA ramblings.”

Ciancia was being treated at a Los Angeles hospital, officials said....

"Father was seeking help for son as LA attack began; Had gotten troubling texts" by Tami Abdollah and Geoff Mulvihill |  Associated Press, November 03, 2013

LOS ANGELES — Moments after gunfire broke out at the Los Angeles airport, Paul Ciancia’s father called police in New Jersey, worried about his son in LA.

The young man had sent texts to his family that suggested he might be in trouble, at one point even saying goodbye.

The call came too late. Ten minutes earlier, police said, the 23-year-old unemployed motorcycle mechanic had walked into LAX, pulled an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle from his duffel bag, and began firing at Transportation Security Administration officers.

I love reading good fiction, don't you?

When the shooting stopped, one TSA officer was dead and five other people were wounded, including two more TSA workers and the gunman himself.

Ciancia’s exact motives were not clear, but he had some kind of beef with the TSA: A note in his bag said he would be happy if he managed to kill just one TSA agent. ‘‘Black, white, yellow, brown, I don’t discriminate,’’ the note read, according to a paraphrase by a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation.

The screed mentioned ‘‘fiat currency’’ and ‘‘NWO,’’ possible references to the New World Order, a conspiracy theory about a totalitarian one-world government.

Here we go again!

By all accounts, Ciancia was reserved and solitary. Former classmates barely remember him, and even a recent roommate could say little about the young man who moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles less than two years ago.

Why did he move after buying  house?

When police stopped him, Ciancia had five 30-round magazines, and the bag contained ‘‘hundreds of rounds in 20-round boxes,’’ the official said.

Authorities identified the dead TSA agent as Gerardo I. Hernandez, 39, who became the first TSA official in the agency’s 12-year history to be killed in the line of duty.

Ciancia, who was shot four times by police, remained hospitalized Saturday, but there was no word on his condition. He was wounded in the mouth and a leg, authorities said....

So he won't be able to talk, huh? Wasn't Dzhokar Tsarnaev found shot in the throat?

Hernandez was one of the TSA’s behavioral detection officers, who are stationed throughout the airport looking for suspicious behavior, said J. David Cox Sr., national president of the American Federation of Government Employees.

Friends and neighbors remembered the Los Angeles man as a doting father of two and a good neighbor who went door-to-door warning neighbors to be careful after his home in the Porter Ranch area of Los Angeles was burglarized.

It was not the first shooting at LAX. On July 4, 2002, a limousine driver opened fire at the airport’s El Al ticket counter, killing an airline employee and a person who was dropping off a friend at the terminal. Police killed the gunman.

"LA airport gunman acted alone, police say" by Tami Abdollah |  Associated Press, November 04, 2013

LOS ANGELES — The gunman charged in the deadly shooting at Los Angeles International Airport lay bloodied and handcuffed on the floor of Terminal 3 after being shot by police, but he replied to critical questions that helped authorities lock down the scene, a law enforcement official who has been briefed on the investigation said Sunday.

Paul Ciancia, 23, was hauled away moments later on a stretcher and later heavily sedated for medical reasons, but not before he told investigators he had acted alone when he opened fire in the terminal, the official said.

Another lone nut, huh, and a helpful one at that?

Ciancia, an unemployed motorcycle mechanic who recently moved to Los Angeles from the small, blue-collar town of Pennsville, N.J., also told police a friend had dropped him at the airport on Friday just moments before he shot a Transportation Security Administration officer at close range and wounded three other people, including two more TSA workers.

Who was this friend who dropped him off?

Officials do not believe the friend knew of the shooter’s plans. Ciancia was sedated for medical reasons, the official said, adding that one gunshot to the mouth blew a molar out of his jaw.

That all?

Ciancia is facing charges of murder of a federal officer and committing violence at an international airport. He could face the death penalty.

It was not immediately clear when he would make a court appearance given his medical condition.

In court documents and interviews, authorities spelled out a chilling chain of events....

The shooter’s duffel bag contained a handwritten letter signed by Ciancia. The screed also mentioned “fiat currency” and “NWO,” possible references to the New World Order, a conspiracy theory that foresees a totalitarian one-world government....

Hey, George H.W. Bush used the term first.

"Teacher killed, 2 boys hurt at Nev. school; Student opens fire, then kills self, police say" by Scott Sonner |  Associated Press, October 22, 2013

SPARKS, Nev. — A student at a Nevada middle school opened fire with a semi-automatic handgun on campus just before the starting bell Monday, wounding two 12-year-old boys and killing a math teacher who was trying to protect children from their classmate.

The unidentified shooter killed himself with the gun after a rampage that occurred in front of 20 to 30 horrified students who had just returned to school from a weeklong fall break. Authorities did not provide a motive for the shooting, and it’s unknown where the student got the gun.

Teacher Michael Landsberry was being hailed as a hero for trying to protect children from their gun-wielding assailant outside the school.

"Nev. school shooter, 12, got gun from home" Associated Press, October 23, 2013

SPARKS, Nev. — The 12-year-old boy’s parents are cooperating with authorities and could face charges in the case, police said.

Law enforcement and school officials lauded the actions of math teacher and former Marine Michael Landsberry, who tried to stop the rampage before he was killed....

The violence started before the first bell of the day rang, as students filed off buses and gathered for class. The boy opened fire outside a school building, hitting one 12-year-old student in the shoulder. He then encountered Landsberry, 45. The teacher walked calmly toward the shooter and lifted his hands, asking the boy to hand over his weapon.

‘‘He was telling him to stop and put the gun down,’’ student Jose Cazares told NBC’s ‘‘Today’’ show Tuesday. ‘‘Then the kid, he yelled out ‘No!’ Like, he was yelling at him, and he shot him.’’

Still, his actions gave students enough time to run to safety, according to police.

"Court reverses jury verdict in Virginia Tech death suit; Officials had no duty to warn, state justices say" by J. Freedom du Lac |  Washington Post, November 01, 2013

The Virginia Supreme Court has overturned a jury verdict in the wrongful death lawsuit filed against the state by the families of two students who were killed in the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre.

In a decision released Thursday, the justices wrote that ‘‘there was no duty for the Commonwealth to warn students about the potential for criminal acts’’ by student-gunman Seung-Hui Cho.

Jurors in Montgomery County Circuit Court ruled last year that the state was negligent. The jury panel awarded the parents of Julia Pryde and Erin Peterson $4 million each, although the amount was later reduced to $100,000 per family.

Harry Pryde, whose daughter Julia was killed in her class on the second floor of Norris Hall on April 16, 2007, said Thursday that the families were ‘‘deeply saddened that the court was so dismissive of assigning responsibility and was so protective of the commonwealth.’’

The lawsuit was about accountability, not money, Pryde said in a phone interview, ‘‘and we still take a good measure of satisfaction that the jury listened to all of the evidence and decided as it did. We don’t feel at all that the Supreme Court can take that away from us.’’

Brian Gottstein, director of communication for Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II, said the court’s ruling affirmed the state’s position.

‘‘While words cannot express the tremendous sympathy we have for the families who lost their loved ones in the Virginia Tech shootings of 2007 — including the Prydes and the Petersons — the Virginia Supreme Court has found what we have said all along to be true: The commonwealth and its officials at Virginia Tech were not negligent on April 16, 2007,’’ he said in a statement.

Virginia Tech president Charles W. Steger praised the attorney general’s office in a written, single-paragraph statement: ‘‘Their attention to detail throughout the case — indeed throughout the lengthy fallout from this wrenching tragedy — and their belief in the university’s employees is gratifying and very much appreciated. I will not forget their support and professionalism. Attorney General Cuccinelli was personally engaged, for which I will be forever grateful.’’

After Cho’s rampage — one of the deadliest mass shootings in US history — most of the victims’ families accepted a settlement that prohibited them from suing the university or the state. The Petersons and Prydes refused, instead pursuing a wrongful-death lawsuit because, they said, they wanted to get to truths they suspected officials were withholding....

I know where you will not be finding that.

Not there.
