I gotta get hustling:
Aaron Hernandez bought cousin’s silence, prosecutors say
"Hernandez’s cousin receives probation; Singleton pleads guilty to contempt" by Zachary T. Sampson and John R. Ellement | Globe Correspondent and Globe Staff August 12, 2014
FALL RIVER — The cousin of Aaron Hernandez became the first person in the football star’s inner circle to face punishment, and a judge’s scorn, when she pleaded guilty Tuesday to contempt for refusing to testify before a grand jury in connection with Hernandez’s murder case.
Bristol Superior Court Judge E. Susan Garsh upbraided Tanya Singleton, saying she had openly flouted the law and would have surely faced jail time if she were not afflicted with terminal breast cancer that prison doctors cannot effectively treat. Instead, Garsh sentenced Singleton, who is Hernandez’s cousin, to two years’ probation with one year of home confinement, which the judge said should be enough to persuade her to testify if summoned again....

It was an “an assault on the rule of law,’’ if you can believe it.
"Hernandez defense has all required evidence, prosecutors say
Suffolk County prosecutors said Thursday that they have handed the defense the last of their evidence against former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, who is accused of killing two men in 2012 following a chance encounter at a Boston nightclub. First Assistant District Attorney Patrick M. Haggan said prosecutors have handed over what they are mandated to give the defense, which amounts to about 11,000 pages detailing their evidence against Hernandez, whose trial on first-degree murder charges is expected to start in May 2015. Hernandez, 24, has pleaded not guilty to the killings of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Authorities say the men were shot to death after one of the men apparently bumped into Hernandez at the club, causing him to spill his drink. Hernandez is also charged in Bristol County in the 2013 slaying of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez also has pleaded not guilty in Lloyd’s killing. That trial is scheduled for October."
