"A US Postal Service worker is facing charges for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in cash and gift cards from residents along her route in Westfield and Southwick. Kerry Friend was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty at her arraignment Wednesday in Westfield District Court on a charge of larceny over $250 by a single scheme. Authorities allege that between August 2013 and October 2014, Friend, 40, stole mail worth at least $2,000.
