Second Day of Ramadan

I'm up before sunrise every day so....

Trump Blasts Abbas

Must have fooled him because he was hungry, and Lendman is right (blog editor frowns).

Now for my pre$$ and what they decided to serve up today:

"Airstrikes kill 17 in Syria near Raqqa" Associated Press  May 29, 2017

BEIRUT — Syrian opposition activist groups said airstrikes Sunday killed at least 17 people just south of the northern city of Raqqa, the de facto Islamic State capital.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 18 people were killed in the airstrikes on the road between the villages of Ratla and Kasrat. It said the raids hit buses, adding that the identities of the dead are not known.

The activist-operated Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently said 17 civilians were killed in the airstrike. Both groups blamed the US-led coalition, which has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria against the Islamic State since September 2014. US-backed Syrian fighters have been marching toward Raqqa for weeks under the cover of coalition airstrikes.

In Afghanistan on Saturday, at least 18 people, mostly civilians, were killed when a suicide car bomber targeted a convoy of provincial security forces in eastern Afghanistan, an Interior Ministry official said.

Najib Danish, the ministry’s deputy spokesman, said the target of the bomber was a group of guards providing security for US forces in Khost province, but most of the victims were civilians....

So much for the olive branch of peace.

"More arrests in Manchester terror attack; UK remains on high alert" by Jill Lawless Associated Press  May 28, 2017

LONDON — On Saturday, Britain lowered its official terrorism threat level from ‘‘critical’’ to ‘‘severe’’ after police said they had dismantled a large part of Abedi’s network. But security remained high at major events across Britain on Sunday, including the Great Manchester Run road race, where police armed with submachine guns protected thousands of participants and spectators.

Wow, did the level of repression just ramp up in Britain!

The government is facing criticism after acknowledging that Abedi was on security services’ radar, but wasn’t a major focus of scrutiny.

What's the English word for pre-selected patsy?

Until a week ago, Britain’s upcoming general election was producing the dullest campaign in recent memory and the result was a foregone conclusion, but the attack has changed that calculation.

Polls which had given Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservatives as much as a 20-point lead over the left-leaning Labor Party have narrowed into the single figures.....

Thus the staged and scripted false flag event meant to distract, delay the campaign, and boost May most of all. Hopefully, the British people see through it and are wiser (I think they are even if they get a rigged result, and let's face it, after Brexit, Trump, and Colombia, all elections are rigged. Nothing left to chance. How do you think Macron and Merkel just won?).

At least they got the planes off the ground.

"Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said Sunday he is considering banning laptops from the passenger cabins of all international flights to and from the United States. ‘There’s a real threat,’’ Kelly said, adding that terrorists are ‘‘obsessed’’ with the idea of downing a plane in flight, ‘‘particularly if it’s a US carrier, particularly if it’s full of mostly US folks. It’s real.’’

You have just been warned and tipped off about an upcoming false flag event, readers!

If you have any plane trips planned, I would cancel the reservations right now!

Look at where the flight landed:

"Philippines pounds militants; 8 civilians found slain" by Jim Gomez Associated Press  May 28, 2017

MARAWI, Philippines — The crisis in Marawi, home to some 200,000 people, has grown increasingly dire as the militants show unexpected strength, fending off a military that has unleashed attack helicopters, armored vehicles, and scores of soldiers.

The violence prompted President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday to declare 60 days of martial law in the southern Philippines, where a Muslim separatist rebellion has raged for decades. But the recent bloodshed in Marawi has raised fears that extremism is growing as smaller militant groups unify and align themselves with the Islamic State.

Then this is what I (and others) are saying, a CIA attempt to destabilize and depose Duterte.

Much of the city is a no-go zone, but as the military advances and more civilians escape, the scope of the battle is becoming clear.....

Be cleared out in a week.
