A veteran Boston firefighter was arraigned in Barnstable District Court Wednesday on multiple child rape charges, according to the Cape and Islands district attorney’s office.

Edward Kulik Jr., a 56-year-old Centerville resident, was charged with three counts of rape of a child with force, three counts of rape, and one count of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, said Tara Miltimore, a spokeswoman for the office.

His bail was set at $3,500 with the conditions that he have GPS monitoring and that he stay away from schools, anyone under 16 years old, and the victim, Miltimore said.

According to city payroll records, Kulik is a fire lieutenant who made $130,210.31 in 2016.

Kulik is a 31-year member of the department, but has not been on active duty since the end of 2015....
