"92 nations sign ban on cluster bombs; Allies press US, others to join" by John Acher, Reuters | December 4, 2008
OSLO - More than 90 nations signed a treaty yesterday to ban cluster bombs, though powerful arms producers such as the United States, Russia and China did not....
And these guys are charged with keeping 'peace" in our world through the United Nations Security Council? What's wrong with that picture?
Estimates of those killed or injured by cluster bombs over the decades range from tens of thousands to more than 100,000. Activists say the real numbers will never be known.
Cluster bombs contain scores or even hundreds of submunitions - or "bomblets" - that blanket wide areas. Since not all of them explode on impact, they pose lethal danger to civilians, particularly children, killing and maiming decades after being used in combat....
The United States repeated its position this week, that while it has similar humanitarian concerns, a general ban would "put the lives of our military men and women, and those of our coalition partners, at risk."
Yeah, TO HELL with the FAMILIES and their children we came to FREE!!!!!! Let's just DROP SOME BOMBLETS on them!!!!
Merry Xmas, Muslim kid!!!!
Afghanistan, which proponents of the ban said had been under pressure by Washington not to sign, reversed its position, announcing it would sign....
Yeah, even the AFGHANIS are tired of having OUR BOMBLETS (so cute sounding, huh?) rip the LIFE and LIMBS from their children!!
Of course, I'm sure Americans would have no problem if a foreign occupier littered our homes with bomblets!!!
--more--"
And did you notice that ISRAEL and THEIR USE of BOMBLETS went UNMENTIONED in my ZIONIST WAR DAILY?
Please see: Memory Hole: Hezbollah and the Bomblets
The figures came from a report in the Boston Globe, presumably to counter an earlier story on Israel's use of the "bomblets," letting alone Israel's use of chemical weapons.

Strange how USraeli use of CHEMICAL WEAPONS raises NO CONCRENS in the Zionist, Muslim-hating War Dailies, 'eh?
