Obviously, our mass-murdering campaigns are not helping him any.
"Karzai presses US on strategy, increased troops; Wants focus on border with Pakistan" by Jason Straziuso, Associated Press | December 23, 2008
KABUL, Afghanistan - President Hamid Karzai pressed America's top military leader yesterday on the US strategy in Afghanistan and preparations to pour up to 30,000 more forces into the country, reflecting Karzai's concerns over civilian casualties and operations in villages.
Karzai asked Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, what kinds of operations the newly deployed troops would carry out, telling him that the Afghan government should be consulted. The Afghan president, stinging from a series of civilian casualties in US military operations in recent years, said he doubts that sending more American forces into Afghan villages will tamp down the insurgency, and he has questioned a US plan to deploy 3,500 US forces in two provinces on Kabul's doorstep.
Karzai told Mullen that US troops must take more care during operations in Afghan villages and stop searching Afghan homes.
Yeah, the HOME SEARCHES are something we RARELY HEAR about, and something I FIND TERRIBLY OFFENSIVE and BOTHERSOME!!
That's American democracy's right to privacy?
He asked the chairman to investigate allegations that US forces killed three civilians in a raid last week in Khost province. The United States says three militants were killed.
MSM kept it quiet, notice?
Karzai wants more forces deployed along the Afghan border to combat insurgents infiltrating from Pakistan, where suspected US missile strikes yesterday killed eight people....
Kept THAT even QUIETER!
The identities of those killed in the two attacks - the latest in an intensified American campaign in the lawless region - were not immediately known....
And CARED ABOUT much less, right? Not by me!! I can feel the lump in my throat already; who where those beautiful people AmeriKa murdered for no reason?
