Stabbings and Slamdowns

The first item makes me wonder why they aren't out deterring robbers, rapist, and the violent offenders while they focus on drugs, prostitutes, bar stings, etc.

"Police ask help in finding stabbing suspect

Somerville police are looking for a man who robbed and stabbed a 22-year-old woman Monday night as she walked home from the Sullivan Square MBTA station on Washington Street near the Charlestown line. The suspect took the purse and fled on foot toward Charlestown, police said in a statement. He is described as white, 30 to 50 years old, 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-11-inches tall, with a stocky build. He has a round face, short neck, thin lips, and puffy, dark-colored bags under his eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call Somerville police detectives at 617-625-1212.

I have no such thoughts about the second item; just flat-out tyranny.

Officer suspended for conduct in arrest

A Salem officer shown on YouTube throwing a suspect to the ground during an arrest has been suspended following a probe. Lawrence Puleo received a 15-day suspension without pay for "conduct unbecoming an officer and discourtesy." He has been on desk duty since the Oct. 17 arrest and began serving the suspension Tuesday (AP)
