Good Night Nurse

I'm sorry, ladies, but the Boston Globe doesn't excite me the way it used to.

"Drug made to boost women’s sex drive failed in studies, FDA says" by Matthew Perrone, Associated Press | June 17, 2010

WASHINGTON — A pink pill designed to boost sex drive in women — the latest attempt by the drug industry to find a female equivalent to Viagra — fell short in two studies, federal health regulators said yesterday....

Haven't they exploited your insecurities enough, women of the world?

You know why you mu$t remain in a permanently un$ati$fied, right?

The search for “female Viagra,’’ has proved elusive, however, with many drugs abandoned after showing lackluster results....

I think all of us men have struggled finding, well, you know....

Since the launch of Viagra in 1998, more than two dozen experimental therapies have been studied for “female sexual dysfunction,’’ a market some analysts estimate at $2 billion.

Pharmaceutical approaches to boosting female libido have evolved. Initially, most treatments aimed to increase blood flow to the genitals, similar to Viagra. A second wave focused on boosting hormones.

Medical surveys have estimated that more than 40 percent of women suffer from some form of sexual dysfunction.

Medical surveys paid for and conducted for whom?

At least you understand who they truly are mouthing the words for like a puppet -- one that tosses your tax loot at this poisoners and gets kickbacks in the form of campaign ca$h.

And here is the medical mouthpiece for the politicians:

"Panel rejects pill to boost female libido" by Associated Press | June 19, 2010

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A “pink pill’’ to boost women’s sex drive remains elusive after a decade of searching by some of the world’s biggest drugmakers.

Yeah, they can't cure any diseases but they can spend millions on research for limp puds and anything they can use to make you feel badly about your body.

A panel of health experts yesterday rejected the latest offering submitted for federal approval: an antidepressant drug that failed to increase sexual desire in two studies....

Are you sure you wanted Obama's national health care, America?

Oh, right, you didn't.

The Democrats had to force it over your wishes, American people.

And when you think about it, that is RAPE!

The attempt to trigger sexual interest through brain chemistry is the industry’s latest approach to find a female equivalent to the success of Pfizer’s Viagra.

Aren't there enough sickening perverts in this world without adding more?

Since that drug’s 1998 launch, more than two dozen experimental therapies have been studied for so-called “female sexual dysfunction,’’ a market worth an estimated $2 billion.

Yeah, I read that before and noted the "disease" and WHO BENEFIT$.

At least I stayed the night:

WASHINGTON — Federal health specialists said yesterday that a new type of morning-after contraceptive that works longer than existing drugs is safe and effective....

Do you really trust this government and its ghost-written announcements from corporate headquarters, ladies?

And seeing as they are pushing the abortion angle there I guess we better get you to the hospital one way or the other:

"12,000 nurses strike for day at 14 Minn. hospitals; Staffing levels putting patients at risk, they say" by Chris Williams, Associated Press | June 11, 2010

MINNEAPOLIS — More than 12,000 nurses launched a one-day strike yesterday at 14 Minnesota hospitals in a dispute over nurse-patient ratio levels and pension benefits.

Nurses say they are being asked to care for too many patients at a time, and strict ratios are necessary to protect patient safety. The hospitals, all in the Minneapolis area, counter that patients are safe and that the walkout is a headline-grabbing stunt to build membership and clout for a national nurses union.

Well, I know who I'm lining up with on that one.

Do you want an angry thermometer up your ass?

About the same number of nurses had planned a simultaneous strike in California over the same issues, but were blocked temporarily earlier this week by a San Francisco judge.

The Minnesota nurses walked off the job at 7 a.m. and onto picket lines at several sites....

Nobody is listening to what we are saying....’’

I certainly can understand the feeling based on the s***heads in this town and state.

Jenni Foster, a nurse in Minnesota, said she believes in the call for increased staffing, but wasn’t sure a one-day strike would accomplish anything.

Why would it?

It hasn't helped the Shaw's workers.

Besides, the pro-corporate, anti-labor paper wouldn't want you thinking strike anywhere in the U.S. -- and with all the illegal labor and their advocates around they are right.

Just one more reason the borders are left wide open, folks.

Though called the largest nurses’ strike in US history by both the union and the hospitals, the immediate effect was expected to be minimal. Hospitals hired 2,800 replacement nurses, called in extra nonunionized staff, reduced patient levels, and rescheduled elective surgeries in some cases. Staff of two of the metro area’s largest hospitals weren’t involved in the strike....

Welcome to the FUTURE of OBAMACARE!!!

Representatives of hospital groups in both Minnesota and California contend that the national union is trying to provoke a headline-grabbing strike to gain members.

Didn't work. This a one-day wonder from the Globe, then forgotten.

That's the problem with AmeriKa. Protests are an hour on Saturday or a one-day event. The powerful string-pullers know there is not a threat, and it even makes them look like a "free" society.

The point is the PROTESTS INDEFINITE UNTIL WE GET WHAT WE WANT!

The ENTIRE WAR MACHINE must GRIND to a HALT; however, too many Americans need to "go to work."

And they wonder how they got stuck in the hamster wheel.

“We think their only goal at this is to have the largest nurses’ strike in history,’’ said Maureen Schriner, a spokeswoman for the hospitals.

Like other businesses, hospitals are trying to trim their budgets even as health care costs have been skyrocketing.

Yeah, too bad you had to fund wars based on lies to the tune of a TRILLION BORROWED DOLLARS so far and that BANKS got BILLIONS for BONUSES and the like.

Nurse pay and benefits are among the hospitals’ largest expenses....

I think I hear rain outside my hospital room, but you could only see it if you purchased a printed Boston Globe:

"DEADLY STORMS HIT MINNESOTA -- Homes were destroyed by a tornado in Wadena, Minn., Thursday night. Three people were killed and dozens more injured as a turbulent storm system fueled twisters across the state. State officials reported 39 tornado touchdowns, which if confirmed, would set a new record (Boston Globe June 19 2010)."

Yeah, that wasn't worthy of print when there is so much other crap to throw at the presses.

Whatever sticks, right, Glob?
