Health Bill Makes MSM Monitor Sick

So much so that I think I'll also pass on the Boston Globe today. I've already looked at the web site and it is not worth it.

Neither is the PoS government we have over here, world. At whatever level, this nation is corrupt and rotten to the core. "Elected" officials no longer listen to the will of the people, and have not for some time.

"Historic OK on health; House approves overhaul, sends measure to president; Republicans battle to the end" by Matt Viser and Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | March 22, 2010

WASHINGTON — The victory was a major show of force by Obama and Pelosi, who was able to deliver the votes on a divisive and controversial issue.

Why would they need to FORCE something through our representative democracy, Americans?

Because we are no longer that and are in fact a true fascist state -- the melding of government and corporate power -- as is obvious to all now.

And would it be so controversial and divisive it it truly benefited us?

Wouldn't there be no controversy or divide (you know, like on the WAR SPENDING BILLS)?

How come we did NOT GET SINGLE-PAYER PLANS like the REST of the INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD?

PICK a COUNTRY, pick a PLAN!!

If CUBA can care for and treat 9/11 rescue workers then AmeriKa can figure it out, right?

I mean, we are AmeriKa!

The biggest, baddest, richest dude on the planet, right?!

We went to the moon!

We can DO ANYTHING when we set out mind to it!!!

Except come up with a decent single-payer health plan for all Americans.

Requiring Americans to obtain health insurance, expanding Medicaid, and providing subsidies for others who can’t afford insurance is expected to bring coverage to 32 million additional people over the next decade. It would be the biggest change to the US health care system since Medicaid and Medicare were approved in 1965.

It is not the single-payer government option that many Democrats have sought for years, but it is a big new social service program nonetheless, closely modeled on the pioneering Massachusetts health care overhaul approved by Beacon Hill in 2006.

Gee, how often did the MSM mention single-payer during the "debate?"

Yeah, it is AMAZING HOW OFTEN DemocraPs CAVE over CORE VALUES, isn't it?

And don't say I didn't warn you.

Yeah, ENJOY, AmeriKa!!!!

House Democrats gained momentum in recent days, but the votes were not completely secured until leaders orchestrated a deal yesterday afternoon with a small group of antiabortion Democrats to secure their support. Under the agreement, Obama pledged that he would sign an executive order reaffirming that no federal funds can be used to cover abortions....

So how is that STAB in the GUT, liberal, pro-abortion Democrats!?!

You have GEORGE BUSH BACK issuing EXECUTIVE ORDERS!!!

But hey, I'm sure the pro-abortion feminists are GLAD they SAVED Obomber's presidency!!!!

In one disruptive episode, two hecklers in the House gallery shouted down into the chamber, before the formal debate on the bill began. “The people said no!’’ one yelled. “You took an oath of office.’’

GOOD FOR THEM!!!

Although the sad fact is Americans need to DESCEND UPON THAT PLACE like the French at the Bastille.

NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE until then.

Some of the Republican lawmakers stood and cheered the protesters, who were from Massachusetts, stunning Democrats....

Yeah, they STILL CAN'T SMELL the STINKING SHIT even after voters sent a REPUBLICAN to replace the GREAT LIBERAL LION (and war looter) Ted Kennedy.

Sorry, old boy, but you never could hold a candle to your brothers and it is now clear you sold out a long time ago.

“Those clowns are out there encouraging violation of the law and making the job of these guys up there harder,’’ Representative Barney Frank, Democrat of Newton, told reporters, referring to his House GOP colleagues and the Capitol police....

F*** you, Barney!

So when are the IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS over ALL the BUSH LIES, TORTURE, CRIMES, etc, hanh?

Still, passage of a health care package that Democrats have sought over the last year would advance the life’s work of Kennedy, who had long advocated for expanding coverage to all Americans and had laid much of the groundwork for the debate....

Oh, then it is all worth it, pffft!

The coverage expansion, including subsidies for people who previously could not afford insurance, is expected to cost $940 billion over a decade, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

Of course, it COULD BE MUCH MORE! That number is just a GUESS!!!!

The subsidized insurance would be sold through exchanges operated by individual states, a system that is the same as the Massachusetts model.

Good luck, Americans.

The nearly $1 trillion in costs would be more than offset by new taxes and $500 billion in cuts to Medicare, according to projections....

More than?

Yeah, CUTS in MEDICARE as the INSURANCE COMPANIES HERE TESTIFY that COSTS are RISING because of SHORT MEDICARE and MEDICAID payments!!

Yeah, this is going to be a REAL DEAL for YOU, America!!! Giving tax loot to corporate conglomerates always is!

The legislation also includes significant changes to education grants, providing $36 billion in new financing for Pell grants to poor students over the next 10 years.

That is when I knew it was passing for sure.

Yup, a WHOLE $425 declining and increasingly worthless U.S. dollars over SEVEN YEARS!!

About $60 a year or a BUCK-and-CHANGE a WEEK, folks!!!

Yeah, big benefit for you, 'murkns!

The additional grant funds would be paid for by ending subsidies for private banks and instead having the federal government make the loans directly.

Oh, so the government will BORROW the MONEY from the SAME BANKS and MAKING INTEREST PAYMENTS on said borrowing -- but its not a subsidy to banks.

The goal of expanding coverage to nearly all Americans has proved elusive for past presidents dating to Theodore Roosevelt, who campaigned on the issue nearly a century ago....

Hoo-ray for Obomber!

Democrats are betting that they will be able to persuade the public of the benefits of expanding health coverage to millions and rolling back many industry practices that anger consumers.

They really do have their heads immersed in the corporate shit pile.

We are ANGRY NOW at WHAT YOU DID and we are NOT GOING to FORGET IT!

Why waste more time and money reading political bulls*** over a fait accompli and cover story crap?

Of course, the people are opposed to this mandated tax giveaway to insurance companies, but what do we matter anymore here in AmeriKa?

"With the vote, a new stature for Obama

President Obama scored a stunning political and legislative victory on health care last night that not only will earn him a place in history books, but promises to establish him as a stronger leader of the Democratic Party after a tumultuous first year.

Oh, well, as LONG AS OBOMBER WON and his PRESIDENCY WAS SAVED, sig heil, then everything is fine!

Never mind that YOU LOST BIG TIME on this one, American people!!!

Now OPEN UP that WALLET!!!

The president will continue to be tested as he attempts to persuade a divided American public of its benefits.

If it was going to BENEFIT IT US why would we be divided?

Nearly 80% of us want SINGLE-PAYER and an END to the WARS, but do we get those? Nope!

By moving the package with Democratic votes alone, “they’ve totally divided the country,’’ and it will be difficult for Obama to calm voters before November, said Doug Schoen, a Democratic pollster who worked for former President Clinton.

Oh, HE is NOT KIDDING!!!

Do I look CALM to YOU?!

I am ONLY GETTING ANGRIER by the DAY!

And I have BEEN THIS WAY for FOUR FUCKING YEARS!!

“All the energy in a turnout election is with the opponents of the bill,’’ Schoen said.

GOODBYE, DemocraPs!!!

You know where you can put that gavel, Pelosi!!!!

The win boosts Obama’s standing with his liberal base, which had grown increasingly frustrated over the president’s inability to push through their wish-list, including health care overhaul, a climate change bill, and the closure of the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Oh my God, what a steaming, stinking pile of propaganda printed by the Boston Globe!

Yeah, I'm sure liberals are real happy with the capitulation on this and the expanding wars (actually, liberals don't care about that one. Where are they?)

You are being TAKEN FOR GRANTED AGAIN, liberals, and HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO!!

Now drop those pants, turn around, and bend over.

A reinvigorated Democratic party — although still facing likely losses in November’s mid-term elections — is now better positioned to galvanize support for the rest of Obama’s domestic agenda, including legislation aimed at job expansion, energy, financial regulation, and immigration.

Sigh. You see the agenda, right?

Yeah, the DemocraPs are now better positioned to pass the rest of the agenda after making the AMERICAN PEOPLE FURIOUS!!!

How does it feel to SHOVEL SHIT all day, Globe "reporter?"

Oh.

“It’s extraordinarily important, and will give him momentum on other legislation,’’ said William Leuchtenburg, a presidential scholar and author based in North Carolina. “He will be able to say he did what the campaign promised: to bring change. He will be able to succeed in a way that a series of presidents, including [Harry S.] Truman and [Bill] Clinton failed.’’

Yeah, except it is NOT the CHANGE we wanted!

The journey was a brutal one, and the process ugly. But although the bitterness on Capitol Hill may not be healed when the legislative debate over health care is finished, Obama would have earned a place in the history books as the only chief executive in 60 years to win a bill bringing the nation close to universal coverage, historians said....

Oh, historians are ALREADY PASSING JUDGMENT, huh?

So why have they been silent on BUSH'S WAR CRIMES and LIES about IRAQ?

Bay State reacts with cheers, anger

The passage of sweeping health care legislation in the House yesterday provoked powerful reactions in Massachusetts, with Democrats and Republicans split along party lines, like their counterparts in Washington, and activists, businesses, and unions sharply divided over what the changes will mean for residents and employers.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles D. Baker Jr., a former chief executive of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, condemned the bill, saying it would increase the deficit and result in higher taxes or cuts in federal aid for teaching hospitals, medical device companies, and other health care firms that make up one-third of the Massachusetts economy.

“I’m sad for my country, and I’m sad for my state,’’ Baker said. “This is a bad deal for Massachusetts, and I think it’s a bad deal for the country. I think the math in this thing is appalling. . . . We’re basically going to be dumping an onerous burden onto our children and grandchildren.’’

Just ADD IT to the 14 TRILLION we have already built up.

Baker added that the procedural tactics used to advance the bill were “as ugly as anything I’ve ever seen.’’

Consider the source, readers.

Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill, an independent candidate for governor who garnered national attention last week after he warned that the bill would “wipe out the American economy within four years,’’ also denounced the bill. He asserted that the measure, like the state’s universal health care law, is too expensive and would not lower premiums or the cost of care.

“This is not good for the economy in any way, shape, or form,’’ Cahill said. “If it has the same outcome as in Massachusetts, it will be a job killer and it will kill the economy.’’

I'm starting to wonder if that isn't the point.

This thing was never for you, Americans.

Governor Deval Patrick, who helped promote the Massachusetts law as a model for the nation, last night commended President Obama and Congress for delivering “meaningful health care reform.’’

“This legislation is good for America and good for Massachusetts,’’ Patrick said in a statement. “Today’s vote is also a fitting tribute to Senator Kennedy’s life’s work. He understood better than anyone that access to care is a right, not a privilege.’’

Actually, he is wrong about that.

Medical care is NOT in the BILL of RIGHTS or anywhere else in the Constitution, but ]who abides by that anymore anyway? Look at what just happened, America.

Business leaders struck a more measured tone....

So when are we going to hear from AVERAGE PEOPLE, Globe?

Union leaders, who fought hard for the legislation, applauded yesterday’s vote but expressed frustration that it did not include a government-run health insurance option long sought by organized labor....

That is not who I was talking about: Labor's Empty Threat

Abortion-rights activists, however, were angry last night after Obama issued an executive order affirming that the bill would not change longstanding restrictions on federal funding for abortion....

Yeah, GOOD!!!

HOW DOES the BETRAYAL FEEL?!!

Not too good, huh?

Andrea Miller, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts, called the order “deeply disappointing’’ and said Congress had treated abortion rights as a mere “bargaining chip’’ in the debate....

Now you know how the AmeriKan people feel ALL the TIME!!!!!!

The vote was undoubtedly a setback for conservative activists and Tea Party members. On Red Mass Group, a conservative blog, the mood was grim.

“CLT activists are used to the thrill of victory AND the agony of defeat,’’ Barbara Anderson, executive director of the antitax group Citizens for Limited Taxation, wrote on the blog. “Wonder how the newbies at the Tea Party will deal with learning that Congress REALLY doesn’t care what they say.’’

Yeah, I do believe the American people have FINALLY GOTTEN the MESSAGE!!!

"Congressional action gets mixed reaction in region" by Jeannie Nuss and Jack Nicas, Globe Correspondents | March 22, 2010

Some medical students and health care workers lauded the apparently imminent passage of the health care bill in the House yesterday as a long-awaited extension of universal coverage from the Bay State to the national stage, but other people around Boston, including the parents of a child with cancer, were critical.

“It’s about time,’’ said Bill Senapedis, 32, who spent yesterday afternoon conducting cancer research at Harvard Medical School in the Longwood area. “I think everybody should have access to health care.’’

Jan Akerblom, a 47-year-old personal-care assistant visiting from Stockholm, echoed Senapedis’s sentiments, comparing the proposed American system to Sweden’s, which provides universal coverage.

“It’s amazing to hear about people in a country like the United States, [where] people can say, ‘We don’t want people to have health care,’ ’’ Akerblom said yesterday at the intersection of Longwood Avenue and Avenue Louis Pasteur.

Hey, WE WANT a SYSTEM LIKE YOURS, not this!!

What, are Swedes more ignorant than Americans?

A block away, Tammy and Boyd Abbott sat on a slab of concrete outside Children’s Hospital, where their 9-year-old son, Bradley, was being treated for a malignant pituitary tumor.

Bradley’s parents are not insured, but their home state of Oklahoma offers medical coverage for children under 19.

“I’m worried with the health care bill; I don’t want any of that to change,’’ Abbott said about her son’s care....

Still, critics say the bill leaves a lot to be desired. Some say the bill leaves immigrants out in the cold, while forcing some people in low-income brackets to pay for coverage they may not be able to afford.

But those concerns only get one line from the agenda-pushing paper.

Earl Darlington, a 56-year-old high school Spanish teacher at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School and a Winchester resident, said the Massachusetts health care system has put a strain on the Commonwealth.

“I’m hearing that our system is already beginning to break the bank, and if that’s the case, then hopefully the federal plan won’t do that to the nation,’’ Darlington said inside the lobby of MGH last night....

Yup, let's HOPE, America!!

Still LIKING YOUR MODEL?!!!!
