I despise DemocraPs now. I'm full up after four years of their bulls***.
I so hope they take a historic beating in the fall for failing to end the wars or the tyranny (expanding them, in fact), and "giving" us this!
"Obama makes urgent pitch for health bill; Tries to rally lawmakers in the House" by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | March 16, 2010
WASHINGTON — President Obama, displaying new urgency in the final days of the health care debate, sought yesterday to rally skittish House lawmakers into voting for his signature health care overhaul, calling for political “courage’’ in the capital....
Don't you love how the AmeriKan MSM puts such a smiley face on extortion and blackmail?
As leaders in Washington Congress continued to rustle up votes, Obama’s appearance yesterday seemed aimed at wavering House members, not just at the American public.
Yeah, they give it such a positive, friendly feel to it as if Pelosi isn't threatening members with no help in the fall ($$$), no money for their committees (hard to run a committee and have hearings with no funding), or yanking chairmanships. THREATS are the way the POLITICAL JOCKEYING is done in the U.S., folks!
So ONCE AGAIN, the MSM is giving us a DISTORTED and DECEPTIVE VIEW of (fill in topic).
“We need courage,’’ Obama told the crowd in Strongsville, Ohio, responding to an audience member and then reiterating the line as a mantra. “That’s what we need. That’s why I came here today. We need courage.’’
“In the end, this debate is about far more than politics,’’ Obama added.

Yeah, it's about getting a new revenue stream going and saving the government from default -- thus saving his presidency, right?
Thus the urgent push to shove the PoS health bill up our asses.
The president, who delayed an overseas trip to Indonesia and Australia, was stumping to save his signature domestic initiative....
Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference in an ornate House meeting room that was filled with about three dozen infants and their parents. Trying to promote aspects of the health care bill that help children, Pelosi held babies and tried to speak over their cries.
“It’s not about gymnastics,’’ she said of the hoops Democrats are trying to jump through to get the bill passed. “Except that’s part of the wellness program we have.’’
Absolutely FUCKING SHAMELESS, Madame Fuhrer!!!!
Top House lawmakers are looking at bringing the issue to a vote late this week, but vote-counters conceded that they haven’t yet secured the 216 commitments they need. “When we bring a bill to the floor, we will have the votes,’’ Pelosi said yesterday....
Yeah, I KNOW!
I figure about 2 a.m on Monday morning so the fresh MSM news cycle after the weekend can promote what a great victory this was for Obomber, DemocraPs, and the American people.
Pelosi yesterday was considering a legislative maneuver that would allow the House to approve the Senate’s health care bill as part of a “budget reconciliation’’ package that can also be passed in the Senate with a simple, 51-vote majority.
Yeah, they GOT A BILL WRITTEN for 60 PUKES (with Joe Lieberman the gate-keeper) when they ONLY NEEDED 51 so we get NO PUBLIC OPTION, NO EXPANSION of MEDICARE, and are left with JUST a HEALTH TAX on your WAGES, American workers -- those that still have jobs.
Keep reading, readers! I DO NOT LIE like the POLITICIANS and the PAPERS, or play their silly little s*** games of obfuscation.
Last week, Democrats had been contemplating passing the Senate bill separately, followed by a set of repairs in the budget reconciliation package. But House members have resisted voting in favor of the original Senate measure. The potential new strategy, which calls for the House to merely stipulate or “deem’’ that the Senate bill has passed, holds the advantage of requiring just one vote in the House, not two.
Yeah, you know, s*** they would scream foul when it is Republicans doing it (but not stand in the way like the Repugs).
Republicans are trying to capitalize politically on the Democrats’ procedural contortions....
Oh, yeah, fuck them, too!
It's not like they are looking out for us, or like I am fooled by the false paradigm of American politics anymore.
And I'm TIRED of the PAPER focusing on THAT SO MUCH while CONCEALING, OBFUSCATING, and DISTORTING what is really going on down there.
Of course, when you are VESTED INTO the CONTROLLING SYSTEM and are their MOUTHPIECE and DEFENDER, what else do you expect?!
Obama tried to personalize the issue yesterday....
Like I said, disingenuous and shameless.
"Today’s Senate bill - supported by Obama - resembles a plan drafted by a moderate Republican"
Yeah, go vote for that, DemocraPs.

Obama also used the trip to continue working on votes: He invited Representative Dennis Kucinich onto Air Force One to fly to the speech, which was in the Cleveland Democrat’s home district. Kucinich, a one-time rival for the presidential nomination, voted against the House plan last year, because he didn’t think it went far enough.
When Obama introduced Kucinich to the crowd, someone in the audience yelled “Vote yes!’’
“Did you hear that, Dennis?’’ Obama said.
Yeah, HE DID!!!
See: FUCK YOU DENNIS KUCINICH- What did you REALLY GET for Selling us out, you piece of shit?
Wow. I agree very much, and you can probably see why, huh?.
Yup, the LITTLE LEFTY of LIMITED DEBATE in this country CAVED!!
Thanks, Dennis.
That's ONE THING that REALLY SADDENS and UPSETS ME, dear readers:
The DAMN LEFT NEVER STANDS UP for ANYTHING!!!!
They COMPLAIN and COMPLAIN and COMPLAIN, but IN the END -- which is where they always seem to stick us all -- they BEND OVER and VOTE for S***!!
The WARS have been FULLY FUNDED since they took charge, right?

"Undecideds feeling the pressure on Obama bill" by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | March 17, 2010
WASHINGTON — Pressure is building on dozens of uncertain Democrats in the House this week as broad health care overhaul legislation appears headed for a climactic vote, perhaps by this weekend. Obama is making phone calls, holding one-on-one meetings with rank-and-file lawmakers, and planning another campaign-style event this week as part of the administration’s lobbying campaign to help House Speaker Nancy Pelosi secure 216 yes votes.
See how they dress the extortion and blackmail up, readers?
“March Madness’’ — the political variety — is what some lawmakers are calling it.
That's offensive to me.
Keep your pollution out of my needed sanity bubble, assholes!
Yesterday, the drama continued to rise, as Tea Party activists demonstrated outside the Capitol and Republicans criticized the parliamentary maneuvers Democrats are considering to push through a law. Undeterred, Democrats huddled in private, putting the final touches on a tenuous agreement....
Yeah, the anti-agenda, controlled opposition (doesn't make the papers if it isn't co-opted, readers) only gets a phrase of coverage.
House leaders said they were continuing to round up votes — signaling that they did not yet have a majority — but asserting they will by the weekend. Abortion remained a potential sticking point.
That is such a lie!!!
See: I Have a Confession to Make
Yeah, turns out it really is a non-issue!!
Just another part of the MSM GAME of OBFUSCATE and CONCEAL!!
And you want to know how they "round up votes, readers?
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been trying to pressure some of those Democrats to switch their votes.... California Democratic Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey says the White House has also threatened to pull support from freshman anti-war Democrats who vote no on the bill.... In the crosshairs of the big guns at the White House and on Capitol Hill are anti-war freshmen legislators and the movement to hold those responsible for torture accountable.
In funding the wars, the White House has been able to rely on strong GOP support to marginalize the anti-war Democrats who have pledged to vote against continued funding (as 51 Democrats did in May when the supplemental was first voted on). But the White House is running into trouble now because of Republican opposition to some of the provisions added to the bill (and one removed), meaning the pro-war Democrats actually need a fair number of anti-war Democrats to switch sides. In short, the current battle will clearly reveal exactly how many Democrats actually oppose these wars. And, according to reports, the White House and Democratic Leadership have the gloves off in the fight:
Rep. Lynn Woolsey of California, a leader of the antiwar Democrats, said the White House is threatening to withdraw support from freshmen who oppose the bill, saying “you’ll never hear from us again.” She said the House leadership also is targeting the freshmen. “It’s really hard for the freshmen,” she said. “Nancy’s pretty powerful.”
Yeah, that is what is happening behind closed doors, and the turd the AmeriKan MSM is dressing up for you, America.
And DemocraPs always get the message:
2006: "Shea-Porter won with a grass-roots, fiery message centered on opposition to the Iraq war and the president's agenda."
Now: "Shea-Porter also promised to continue fighting for new contracts at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and to draw the U.S. Air Force Cyberspace Command computer project to vacant property there."
"Shea-Porter also supports building more F-22s"
That's the ANTIWAR Shea-Porter, folks.
More: Meet Your Antiwar New England Liberals
Not very antiwar at all, are they?
"two-term Democratic incumbent Carol Shea-Porter, whose favorability ratings have plunged since last fall, appears to be in the most peril. Democrats and Republicans enjoy roughly equal party registration in New Hampshire, but independents are a plurality that holds the balance of political power in the state. Shea-Porter fares poorly with self-identified independents in the WMUR poll."
Also see: Pelosi Protested at Shea-Porter Promo
See?
Representative Bart Stupak, a Michigan Democrat, told reporters that he has 12 allies in the House who would vote against the plan if abortion language contained in a Senate-approved measure is not changed.
Oh, yeah, what pressure is Madame Fuhrer applying to Bart?
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would have to both reassure members the party will bolster their reelection bids and discipline recalcitrant members. “She’s got to lean on people,’’ he said.... House Speaker Nancy Pelosi must proceed on two fronts. First, she must reassure her own caucus that if they support the healthcare bill, they can depend on strong support from the House Democratic Campaign Committee in the upcoming campaign season.
"The other, quite candidly, is intimidation," Ross Baker, a political science professor at Rutgers University who served as a scholar-in-residence in the office of Senate majority leader Harry Reid in 2008, said. Pelosi has to threaten people like Representative Bart Stupak of Michigan, the leading voice of antiabortion Democrats in the House, with the loss of his subcommittee, he said. "She's got to demand it of them...."
Now you know why they are getting close to passage in AmeriKa's democrapy, readers.
Because the election of US Senator Scott Brown gave Republicans enough votes to filibuster any corrective health care language, Democrats must employ layers of parliamentary maneuvers to win passage in both the House and Senate. The current strategy calls for the House to pass the Senate’s bill and then approve a set of repairs — either in a sequence of votes or possibly as one complete package. The Senate would then have to approve the fixes as well before sending them to the president.
Related: Massachusetts Senate Vote Irrelevant
Yeah, sure seems that way despite the MSM saying it changed everything, huh?
Many House Democrats don’t trust their Senate counterparts to approve the fixes....
Yup, the Senate won't pass the fixes and the House Democrats will be standing out there with their dicks in the wind.
Say goodbye to the seat, as well as something else, DemocraPs!
Little head, big head, just as good.
And they are LINING UP FOR IT!!
A barrage of TV commercials, many sponsored by business groups being led by the US Chamber of Commerce, went on the air last week at a reported cost of $1 million a day, aimed at persuading 26 key lawmakers to vote no. Unions supporting the plan detailed a $1.7 million ad buy yesterday that will play in the districts of 17 House members.
Click.
Some lawmakers are beginning to schedule announcements about their votes.
Representative Dennis Kucinich, an Ohio Democrat whose vote could be critical for swaying liberal members, is planning to announce how he will vote this morning. Kucinich, who voted against the plan the first time because he didn’t think it went far enough, traveled with Obama on Air Force One on Monday to a speech the president gave in Kucinich’s Cleveland-area district.
I've already registered my disappointment with him.
“I believe we’re going to get the votes,’’ Obama said in an interview with ABC News. “We’re going to make this happen.’’
While politicking and lobbying continued apace, legislative progress was negligible yesterday, as lawmakers waited for official cost estimates from the Congressional Budget Office.
The behind-the-scenes arm-twisting was punctuated by appearances before the cameras....
Oh, a SLIGHT and SUBTLE ALLUSION to how they "round up votes," readers.
As a way of avoiding a direct vote on the Senate bill, Pelosi and others have been examining a way for Democrats to “deem’’ that law as passed, and then take the up-or-down vote on the add-on compromise language. That procedure has been used numerous times before — including when Republicans were in power — but not on something as large as the health care bill.
Yeah, WHERE WERE DemocraPs then?
Democrats chalked up the criticism as a last-ditch attempt by Republicans and said the public generally doesn’t care about how the legislation is passed — only what it contains.
Are DemocraPs REALLY THAT BLIND!
The INSULTING ARROGANCE is BEYOND BELIEF!!!
And WE DON'T LIKE EITHER, a**hole!!!
We DON'T LIKE the PROCESS at all since we got a SHIT BILL that CAN'T BE CHANGED(?) out of it, and we DON'T LIKE what IT CONTAINS, either, Steny!!!!!!
“ ‘So what?’ says the American public,’’ Steny Hoyer, House majority leader, told reporters. “The Republicans have been yelling about process. And frankly, this bill has received more careful consideration, more exposure, more transparency, more debate, more hearing time, more debate time, more amendments than almost any bill I can think of.’’
It was WRITTEN BEHIND CLOSED DOORS with the CAMERAS OFF!!!
Oh, right, Steny is a POLITICIAN! EVERY WORD out the mouth is either an INSULT or a LIE!!!
And that means all the other crap legislation from the Patriot Act of Tyranny to the War Resolutions were not examined as closely, right?
Let's face it, readers, NO ONE READS the BILLS DOWN THERE!
They are TOLD to VOTE FOR IT -- or else!!!!
You DON'T NEED TO KNOW what is IN IT, America, because Congress is WORKING FOR YOU, right?
That makes all the LOOTING and LYING kind of strange, but you know!!!!
Btw, what kind of HEALTH PLAN does Congress have?
"Among the advantages: a choice of 10 healthcare plans that provide access to a national network of doctors, as well as several HMOs that serve each member’s home state. By contrast, 85 percent of private companies offering health coverage provide their employees one type of plan. Take it or leave it.
But Americans like their health plans -- because they DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE (or until they actually have to use it).
Lawmakers also get special treatment at Washington, D.C.’s, federal medical facilities and, for a few hundred dollars a month, access to their own pharmacy and doctors, nurses, and medical technicians standing by in an office conveniently located between the House and Senate chambers. In all, taxpayers spent about $15 billion last year to insure 8.5 million federal workers and their dependents.... lawmakers can tailor coverage in a way most Americans cannot. "
I'm not saying they should have coverage; however, give us your coverage or stop f***ing us, one of the two!
"Indeed, a question often surfaces: Why can’t everyone enjoy the same benefits as members of Congress? The answer: The country probably couldn’t afford it.... "
But they can AFFORD WARS and BANK LOOTINGS, 'eh?
"Federal employees also have a significant benefit denied the average American: There is no such thing as a preexisting condition"
And YOU are paying for it, America.

"Health-care bill not yet a law, but Republicans already organizing to repeal it
By Perry Bacon Jr.
Even as House Democrats search for the votes to send the bill to President Obama, dozens of Republican lawmakers and candidates have signed a pledge to back an effort to repeal the bill, should the GOP take control of either house of Congress after this fall's elections.
Started by the conservative activist group Club for Growth, the "Repeal It" movement first won the backing in January of some of the most conservative Republicans in Congress, such as "tea party" favorite Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). It has since expanded to include some of the party's Senate candidates in liberal-leaning states such as New Hampshire and Illinois.
Congressional Republicans are currently battling the Democrats over the House procedures they could use to pass the health-care bill. But they are promising this fall to continue the spirited debate over the substance of the bill that has dominated the last year on Capitol Hill. And the repeal will likely be a key issue, even as lawmakers on both sides acknowledge any repeal would be highly unlikely as long as President Obama remains in office, as he could veto any such legislation....
At this point I am looking at a reedited rewrite from what I am staring at on my desk, and I'm tired of it.
Some Democrats view this development with glee. They say the health-care bill will become more popular as soon as it's signed, particularly since some of the provisions most favored by the public start this year, such as allowing young adults to stay covered by their parents' health-care plans up to age 26.They are ABSOLUTELY NUTS and obviously DO NOT CARE what YOU THINK, America!!
And WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE or FORGET THIS, either!!!!!!!!
Like many other parts of the legislation, that provision would become effective six months after the law is signed -- right around election time if the overall bill passes this week....
And other Democrats say it's very difficult to run on a platform of taking away new rights for Americans.
Yup, your RIGHT to PAY an INCREASED 10% HEALTH TAX on your WAGES, Americans!
"When it comes to health care and insurance, once reform passes, the tangible benefits Americans will realize will trump the fear-mongering rhetoric opponents are stoking today," Obama pollster Joel Benenson wrote in a recent piece in The Post. "And when that reality kicks in, the political burden will shift... there is every reason to believe that for Republicans, the negative consequences will be their own."
Another deluded soul. What the hell would he know about reality?
In what has become a intra-party pollster battle, other Democrats dispute the idea that the bill will help the party in the fall. Pollsters Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen have written Democrats "will be punished severely at the polls" unless they turn around the current negative perceptions of the health-care bill.
Republicans say the bill won't be that popular by November, because the public has already soured on the bill and the modest changes it makes by November won't change the overall perception of it.
Nope.
Related: Buying a Change of Congress
Good bye, Democrats (not that they really care).
"Democrats think by passing the bill they'll be able to get it behind them and change the subject to something else, like jobs," said Senator John Cornyn (R-Tex.), head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. "But this will do the opposite. This will make sure health care is the number one issue that the election is won or lost on in November."
Among many other DemocraP failings.
Not that exchanging one for the other is going to do anything.
We went from Republican president and Legislature to Democrat president with filibuster-proof majority and nothing changed -- or if it did, it GOT WORSE!!
Hard to believe after eight years of Bush, huh, Americans ?
But some analysts say a debate over dumping the health care bill or keeping it may not affect voters who do not already have strong views on the reform effort, if only because its effects may not be felt by November.
"Republicans have been saying this is the end of America as we know it and it will bring socialism," said Norman Ornstein, a congressional scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. "If it passes and not much happens, it's not as if there's going to be a huge backfire [on the Republicans], but in the overall argument they have not done themselves much political good."
So when do the HEALTH of their CONSTITUENTS and not the POLITICS not matter, huh?
And what I CAN NOT FIND on the WEB ANYWHERE and was CUT!
Meanwhile, President Obama and Democratic leaders in the House lauded the decision by Representative Dennis Kucinich, a longtime liberal holdout, to back the overhaul. The announcement yesterday by Kucinich, who represents a district near Cleveland and who ran for president in 2004 and 2008 while advocating for a single-payer national health care system, made him the first Democrat to declare he would vote in favor of the legislation after voting against an earlier version.
Referring to the political struggle under way, Kucinch said : "You do have to be very careful that the potential of President Obama's presidency not be destroyed by this debate. Even though I have many differences with him on policy, there's something much bigger at stake here for America."
Oh, this is ABOUT OBAMA'S POLITICAL PROSPECTS, NOT OUR HEALTH, huh, Denny?
Yeah, THANKS for CAVING, you sniveling little s***!!
All over a PLANE RIDE?
That's why I never bothered to link his shame end the war resolution or vote or whatever.
Good bye, Dennis!!
And YOU CAN SEE WHY the article needed and to be censored and rewritten, huh?
More reasons for removal and censorship:
Also yesterday, Idaho's governor, C.I. "Butch" Otter, became the first to sign a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance. Similar legislation is pending in 37 other states. Constitutional law specialists say the movement is mostly symbolic because federal laws supersede those of the states.

"Democrats offer $940b health bill for final test; Obama delays Asia trip for Sunday’s tally" by Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | March 19, 2010
WASHINGTON — House Democrats yesterday unveiled a $940 billion compromise health care package they said would reduce the deficit and vastly expand health insurance coverage, continuing a march toward what leaders predicted will be final House passage Sunday....
And how will they reduce the deficit as they expand care?
"Greenspan, 83, raised concern about the impact of health care costs driven by the Medicare and Medicaid entitlement programs.... and raised the question of rationing medical care"
And you thought single-payer would have been bad?
President Obama canceled his planned Sunday departure to Asia so he could be in town for what could be the historic House vote.
Then it is a fait accompli -- and all this print is pablum.
And while wavering lawmakers were still being lobbied feverishly by their colleagues and the White House, Democratic leaders said they were confident they will eke out the 216 yeas needed to approve the package.
Oh, I have NO DOUBT!
EXTORTION and BLACKMAIL are VERY EFFECTIVE!
“Every vote around here is a heavy lift,’’ said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California.
Yes, and YOU KNOW HOW HEAVY HER HAND IS, don't you, readers?
But after months of uncertainty, a clear sense of momentum took hold of the House proceedings, and Republicans were already anticipating a showdown in the Senate next week....
America’s Health Insurance Plans, an industry group, issued a statement against the bill. The Massachusetts Hospital Association, meanwhile, called for its passage, saying the bill “puts patients first.’’
Yeah, after the insurance companies and the hospital!
The bill released yesterday would give Massachusetts a big boost in Medicaid assistance to help pay for insurance coverage for lower-income people, sending an additional $2 billion to the state over the next ten years.
Oh, they are going to be MAKING MONEY off the DEAL, huh?
Related: Obama Bribes Massachusetts With Medicaid Money
Yup, tax loot to be transferred to insurance companies.
The provision, which would compensate all states for covering more Medicaid patients, would send even more additional money to the Bay State than a Senate-approved “special deal’’ that Obama insisted be removed. The Senate deal would have granted Massachusetts $500 million over three years, with no guarantee of extra assistance after that.
“This is a huge deal,’’ Senator John F. Kerry said in an interview. “This is not a special deal for Massachusetts. What it is, is a fix that is going to take place across the country,’’ said Kerry, who has been negotiating with the White House and colleagues on the Medicaid issue throughout the process....
Yeah, our lad looter in Congress.
Were those negotiations transparent like Steny said?
Starting in 2013, wealthier Americans (individuals earning more than $200,000 and couples with more than $250,000) would get hit with new taxes: a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income and an additional .9 percent on existing Medicare taxes on wages...
Yeah, it's just a penny on the dollar that you can't afford, Americans.
And good luck getting that money from investors. We have seen this all before.
And remember, DemocraPs just want a new revenue stream so they won't default to banksters.
Six months after the law would take effect, insurance companies would be prohibited from denying children coverage based on preexisting conditions. The ban would apply to everyone starting in 2014....
Why the WAIT?
WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless you WORK for the GOVERNMENT and get a TAXPAYER-FUNDED PLAN, right?
Employers would not be required to offer insurance to workers.
Yup, YOU are the ONLY ONES GETTING SCREWED, American taxpayers and workers!
But small businesses would get immediate tax credits to help pay for employee health coverage.
Maybe it is time to DO AWAY with SO MANY TAXES, huh?
To approve the package, the House must pass the Senate bill many House Democrats dislike and the compromise “fixes’’ revealed yesterday, which are packaged in a so-called budget resolution measure. The package would then go to the Senate, which would need just a simple majority to pass it under a process called “reconciliation.’’ Senate debate would be limited to 20 hours, because budget resolutions cannot be filibustered.
Ooooooooh!
Yeah, that whole filibuster fraud worked like quite a charm as an excuse for DemocraPic incompetnce, huh?
House leaders are still deciding whether to ask their members to vote up or down on the Senate bill first, or approve it as part of a “self-executing rule’’ that deems the Senate bill passed as part of the package of compromise fixes.
Republicans have strongly objected to that possible tactic, calling it a sneaky parliamentary trick, and many Democrats on the fence are concerned about the appearance of the maneuver.
With the clock ticking down to a scheduled Sunday vote, Capitol Hill was enmeshed in frantic, emotional lobbying by supporters and opponents alike. Obama worked the phone and hosted fence-sitters at the White House, talking in person or on the phone to more than three dozen lawmakers this week.
Yeah, see how FRIENDLY it all is in the AmeriKan MSM, dear readers?
But Pelosi has a proven record of pushing controversial measures such as climate change, financial regulation, and the stimulus package through the chamber.
Yes, and NOW YOU KNOW HOW and WHY, readers -- although you never would have read it in the printed paper!!!
“It’s the politics that have confused or scared people,’’ said Brian Higgins, a New York Democrat who plans to vote for the measure. “What is being lost here is the substance of the bill. The individual components of this bill have overwhelming support.’’
DemocraPs can't smell their own shit stink, huh?
Of course, the WAR LIES, etc, remain UNCHALLENGED by DemocraPs!!!
And it looks like Kucinich's cave just got canceled out:
"In shift, Lynch will vote no on health bill" by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | March 19, 2010
WASHINGTON — Rebuffing personal pleas from President Obama and Vicki Kennedy, Representative Stephen F. Lynch said yesterday that he will vote against the Democrats’ health care overhaul, contending that it doesn’t put enough pressure on insurance companies to reduce costs.
Now THERE is a PROFILE in COURAGE!
Of course, they already have the votes so they can cut this guy loose and make it look good.
And he only recognizes what we ALL DO!
The move is a shift for the South Boston Democrat, who voted in favor of the original House bill along with the rest of the Massachusetts delegation in November.
While not seen as fatal to the sweeping initiative, his defection makes it tougher for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her leadership team, who are cajoling individual representatives as they seek to win at least 216 commitments before Sunday’s anticipated vote.
I told you they had the votes.
Yeah, poor Nancy Pelosi, pfffffft!!!!
It also illustrates the profound changes in the Massachusetts political landscape since last year’s death of Edward M. Kennedy, who built his career on efforts to expand health coverage....
Yeah, and was he ever forgotten fast, huh? And those changes?
Pfffft!
Lynch said he is opposed because the measure does not go far enough. “We’ve paid the ransom, but at the end of the day the insurance companies are still holding the hostages,’’ Lynch said in an interview with the Globe yesterday.
As was intended from the start.
“This is a very good bill for insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. It might be good for Nebraska, I don’t know. Or Florida residents. But it’s not good for the average American, and it’s not good for my district. Or for Massachusetts.’’
But VOTE FOR IT or else, DemocraPs!!!!
Lynch is the only member of the Massachusetts House delegation to oppose the legislation thus far. Several others, including Representative Michael E. Capuano, say they remain undecided. “I want to vote yes, but I am still not certain that this specific bill deserves my support,’’ Capuano said this week in an e-mail to supporters....
Well, I won't be holding my breath.
The pressure on House members is intense.
Yup, and WE KNOW HOW INTENSE, but no thanks to you obfuscating PoS!
Lynch was summoned to the White House yesterday afternoon for a personal, 40-minute Oval Office meeting with the president. The former ironworker also received a call from his union’s president urging him to vote yes. Vicki Kennedy, widow of the senator, also spoke with Lynch.
When reminded yesterday of Senator Kennedy’s advice to not let the “perfect be the enemy of the good,’’ Lynch told reporters: “There’s a difference between compromise and surrender, right? And this is a complete surrender of all the things that people thought were important to health care reform.’’
But VOTE FOR IT to SAVE OBAMA'S PRESIDENCY!
F*** what is GOOD and RIGHT for YOU, 'murka!!!
Go ahead and own it, one-termer!!
After emerging late yesterday from the meeting with Obama, Lynch said he remained unconvinced. “I am still planning on voting against the bill,’’ Lynch said last night in an interview. “Look, he’s a very articulate and persuasive individual....
Yup, that is AmeriKan politics all right: ALL IMAGE!!
The insurers still rule.... We’re just pumping subsidies into the current system, but that won’t drive down costs.’’
Yup, a HUGE TRANSFER of TAX LOOT to PRICE-GOUGING INSURANCE COMPANIES!!
On a conference call with reporters yesterday, Richard Trumka, AFL-CIO president, praised the health care bill and said the union would strongly advocate for it....
Related: Labor's Empty Threat
Another "left-wing" group of AmeriKa.

Yup, and LIBERAL DEMOCRATS are HOWLING IT just as the conservative Christian crazies would be if it were their man.
Happy with the REFLECTION you see in the MIRROR, PoS liberals?
He also deflected questions about his political future and whether he is seeking to appease angry voters as a way of setting himself up for a Senate bid in 2012. “These are questions for another day,’’ he said. “We have a lot of road to travel.’’
Pffft!
Sigh.
No wonder the journalism is so shitty in AmeriKa!!
Lynch’s Massachusetts colleagues refrained from criticizing him....
Then the VOTE is in the BAG, folks!!!
Lynch said it is wrong for House Democrats to consider a process in which they would “deem’’ the Senate bill passed as they approve a package of budget resolution compromises, instead of voting separately and directly on the Senate bill itself.
Pelosi, asked about Lynch’s criticism of the process she was pursuing, brushed it off. Then — without naming Lynch — she launched into an assault on opponents of the bill.
Yeah, she is a REAL PIECE of WORK, huh, Americans?
Time for her to RESIGN!!!!!!!!!!!
“The poisoning of the well that you see is, again, the lengths to which the other side — the insurance companies —will go. They will do anything to stop this legislation,’’ she said.
Yeah, just as your shameless ass and botox-laden face will threaten, extort, and blackmail to get what you want!
Oh, yeah, she already had a heads-up so they were not counting on Lynch.

Letters to Lynch
Yeah, he ain't no savior, either!
"To many, declaration not surprising" by Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff | March 19, 2010
Steve Murphy, Lynch’s longtime Washington-based media strategist, said Lynch’s decision is not inconsistent with his vote last fall in favor of a different version.
“It lets the insurance industry keep on doing what it’s been doing, and it taxes health benefits, forcing workers to pay for the sins of the insurance industry,’’ Murphy said....
And BOOST the BOTTOM LINE like with the BANKS!!
Lynch is the most conservative member of the Bay State’s all-Democrat 10-member House delegation and he is something of a lone wolf within that group.
Gee, you STEP OUT of LINE on ONE ISSUE and the agenda-pushing press pounces on you!!
Then he is being monitored by the government and is on a watch list as a potential "terrorist," right, BG?
He can be immovable in the face of pressure and has demonstrated the ability to resist House leadership and heavy lobbying by his allies in organized labor.
Ah, they don't need you anyway, Steve.
Tim Sullivan, spokesman for the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, said Lynch has been contacted by many state labor leaders, and they will continue to try to change his mind.
“The health care bill has been a top priority of the labor movement, and there have been a lot of bumps along the way,’’ Sullivan said. “This is the first step, and we’ve decided it’s better to take the step than not.’’
Fine. EAT SHIT, and get CRAP CARE, America!
I'm FINISHED TRYING to HELP YOU!!!
Lynch won a tough four-way Democratic special primary in 2001 by rolling up big margins in the conservative precincts of the district. Three Bay State political observers surveyed by the Globe said they doubt Lynch’s opposition to the bill will hurt him in the district.
Yesterday Lynch brushed aside a question from a reporter about whether he was considering a challenge to Republican Scott Brown, another opponent of the health care legislation, when Brown completes Kennedy’s term in 2012.Sigh!
Stoo-pid f***ing Globe flak asked, didn't they?
Pffffffffttt!

Even more reason to oppose the bill.
Rule #1 (with rare exception) when reading agenda-pushing Globe editorials: You should favor the opposite. Time-tested and true, readers.

Don't think he isn't feeling the pressure of our "democracy."

"Obama’s student loan plan moving forward with health bill; Would cut funds to private lenders, boost grant money" by Nick Anderson and Alec MacGillis, Washington Post | March 19, 2010
WASHINGTON — President Obama moved closer to achieving one of his top policy goals yesterday as congressional Democrats joined forces behind a bill that would cut funding to private student lenders and redirect billions of dollars in expected savings into grants to needy students.
Sounds good, right? Keep reading.
The bill, which was released yesterday afternoon, has long been overshadowed by the rancorous health care debate, but it is moving swiftly now and may benefit from a legislative maneuver that packages it together with Obama’s health care plan.
I guess he owns the damn thing now (another one-term Democrat), and the gall of DemocraPs knows no bounds.
The two initiatives at the centerpiece of the president’s domestic agenda could pass simultaneously in what is expected to be a largely party-line vote.
Oh, this thing is passing and everyone knows it.
Just the MSM playing their wall-to-wall s*** political fooleys and turd-juggling diversions.
The student loan bill would end a program begun in 1965 that relies on banks and other financial institutions to lend students money for college while the government assumes virtually all the default risk.
That means ANOTHER BAILOUT for YOU to FUND, American taxpayers!!
When the STUDENTS DEFAULT on their loans!
The government would vastly expand its own lending to fill the void.
And WHERE is the GOVERNMENT going to get the MONEY?
Well, BORROW IT from the SAME BANKS which will ADD ANOTHER LAYER of INTEREST PAYMENTS to the LOANS!
Yeah, but THIS is ALL for YOUR BENEFIT, kids!!
Just as the WAR LIES and BANK LOOTING was all for your own good!!
You know, I DON'T THINK the American public is fooled anymore; otherwise, they would not be so FURIOUS! And ATTACHING THIS BACKDOOR BANK GIVEAWAY is not going to help!
Republican opponents have criticized the move as an unnecessary government takeover of a successful program, but Obama administration officials have argued that the change would amount to nothing more than removing the middlemen from transactions that allowed lenders to pocket billions of dollars in profit at the expense of taxpayers....
Given the BANK and WAR LOOTING and all the other CORPORATE GIVEAWAYS and CAMPAIGN KICKBACKS as well as their own perks down there, since when have they cared about YOU, taxpayers?
Now, when you are ready to bust a gasket?
Representative George Miller, a Democrat from California and chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, said in a statement. “This is really about making a simple choice. Congress can either continue the longstanding boondoggle that rewards banks with tens of billions of dollars in subsidies at the expense of families and taxpayers — or we can invest that money directly in students and America’s world economic leadership.’’
By borrowing the money from same banks and then lending it out to students with interest. After a while the duplicity is nauseating.
For years, the industry has weathered attacks through strong political connections and support from many college administrators who favor private lenders over the direct government lending program begun in the early 1990s. But a confluence of factors has thrown the industry on the defensive. The most important is a several-billion-dollar shortage of funds for federal Pell grants.
How come they didn't get a bailout and the banks did?
How come the American people weren't bailed out?
We are just left holding the bag in a debtor's prison called AmeriKa!
Democratic congressional aides said the legislation would allocate about $13.5 billion to help fill the shortage and more than $22 billion over the next decade to enlarge the maximum annual award to $5,975 by 2017, from the current $5,550.
Oh, wow, a WHOLE $425 declining and increasingly worthless U.S. dollars over SEVEN YEARS!!
About $60 a year or a BUCK-and-CHANGE a WEEK, folks!!!
Yeah, big benefit for you, 'murkns!
Of course, tuition is going up because venture capital firms pissed away your pensions and investments, but so what, 'eh? Government is helping you out.
As a result, several higher-education groups have moved from neutral on the lending issue to supportive of Obama’s proposal. Federal grants reduce somewhat the pressure on colleges and universities to provide aid.
Oh, so the COLLEGES are SERVING THEMSELVES, not the students!!!
Pfffft!!
Major industry players say they also want changes in the program, just not what Democratic leaders propose. They say subsidies can be cut while preserving a role for private lenders in originating loans.
Yes, they STILL WANT THEIR CUT of the DEBT SLAVERY of the STUDENT!

"For love or money, more families living together; Study finds rise in extended kin in same home" by Hope Yen, Associated Press | March 19, 2010
WASHINGTON — Driven partly by job losses, more multigenerational families are choosing to live together as “boomerang kids’’ flock home and people help care for grandchildren or aging parents....
Yup, another MSM smiley-face on a stinking piece of s***.
The rise in multigenerational households is heavily influenced by economics, with many young adults, known as “boomerang kids,’’ moving back home because of limited job prospects.
What do you mean limited job prospects?
I have heard RECOVERY, RECOVERY, RECOVERY for MONTHS and been told by the same s*** MSM that we have had ROBUST GROWTH for TWO QUARTERS because the government stimuloot saved our asses.
Ooooooh (sigh as you read that, readers).
And I'm JUST WONDERING how the KIDS are going to PAY BACK those LOANS for the worthless degrees when they have LIMITED JOB PROSPECTS!
But extended life spans and increased options in home health and outpatient care over nursing homes have also played a role. So, too, has a recent wave of immigration of Hispanics and Asians, who are more likely to live with extended family....
Yeah, well, illegals know there is strength in numbers.
