Oh, MORE HOT FART MIST from the "LEFT," huh?
"Labor leaders press Obama on health tax" by Erica Werner, Associated Press Writer | January 11, 2010
WASHINGTON -- The president of the AFL-CIO, Richard Trumka warned that Democrats risk catastrophic election defeats similar to 1994 if they fail to come up with a health bill labor likes.
PFFFFFFFTTT!!!!
"A bad bill could have that kind of effect -- a place where people sit at home" -- as happened in 1994, when Democrats lost 54 House seats and eight in the Senate, costing them control of Congress, Trumka told reporters....
Despite the criticism, Trumka stopped short of saying labor would actively oppose the bill if it included the tax. Trumka said bringing Americans health care reform "is too important for us to get this close and then say we quit."
This is why I have NO RESPECT for those on that "side."
And NEITHER do the PEOPLE to whom they are APPEALING!!!
"Health bill may be lenient on employers; Stiff requirements on coverage opposed" by Lisa Wangsness, Globe Staff | January 13, 2010
"... because the health insurance companies will make more profit selling individual policies to workers rather than a group policy." -- Wake the Flock Up
But DemocraPs are ONLY LOOKING OUT for YOUR HEALTH, Amurka!!!!
WASHINGTON - Democratic leaders negotiating a compromise health care bill appear likely to reject a House provision requiring employers to offer generous coverage to their workers or else pay a steep payroll tax, specialist say.
Yeah, the TAX is ONLY GOING to be for YOU, American citizen!!!!
The handful of moderate Senate Democrats who hold the political upper hand in shaping the final bill are expected to insist on hewing much closer to the Senate’s relatively lenient approach....
And you know who has the top hand, right?
Killing off the strong employer mandate in the House version would represent a substantial victory for business lobbies....
They ONLY MEAN BIG BUSINESS, and SEE WHAT HAPPENS when you BEND OVER, labor?
Several influential business groups remain hostile to the Senate bill even so, but moderate Democrats have set their sights on at least keeping the Business Roundtable, a group representing large corporations, from not actively campaigning against the final bill....
Yes, SEE who the "for-the-little-guy" DemocraPs are CONCERNED about?
Amanda Austin of the National Federation of Independent Business, the main small business lobby, said that the main problem facing small employers is cost, and that neither the House nor the Senate bill does enough to constrain health care cost growth. If premiums are not affordable, she said, employers will face having to pay a penalty or go out of business.
“This is heavy-handed on coverage and lacking in cost-containment, which is what we’re afraid of,’’ she said.

That is the plan, huh?
In the coming weeks House and Senate leaders will meet to reconcile the differences between the health bills that each chamber passed last year. The employer responsibility issue has been overshadowed by noisier debates over abortion, taxes, and the public option.
Yeah, and WHOSE FAULT is THAT, MSM?!!
"The discussion about the public option “was much ado about little"
And the MSM spent SO MUCH TIME, MONEY and PRINT on something you were NEVER GETTING ANYWAY, America!!
While the final product will require most individuals to obtain insurance, Democrats must now decide what employers’ obligations should be.
And THAT will be IT!
No public option, no Medicare expansion, no single-payer, NOTHING but a MANDATE for an OVERPRICED piece of CORPORATE CRAP CARE or a TAX!!!!!
A spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had no comment on the negotiations....
Of course not, since it is ALL BEING DONE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!
That's DemocraP TRANSPARENCY for you.
Pretty tough to see through a screen of shit!
PFFFFFFFFFTTTT!!!
I SAW his "warning" above.
Groups on the left are still holding out hope....
After ALL the BACKTRACKS and BETRAYALS?
You guys are a LOT MORE STOO-PID and NAIVE than I thought!!!
But business groups say....
For that you need only go here
