Bringing HRW to Heel

The true power in the world. Not even human rights orgs can stand up to them (without having their funding cut).

For the record, I've lost my faith in western-centric, Zionist-funded, agenda-pushing human rights groups even though I know they do good work.

Call me a cynic (but not anti-semitic, because Arabs are Semites, too) if you will; that's usually what they call people who criticize orthodoxy and see bias.

"Israel to reject UN panel’s call for investigation of Gaza war; Stance could spur international war crimes inquiry" by Amy Teibel, Associated Press | January 27, 2010

JERUSALEM - Israel will rebuff a UN panel’s demand for a special investigation into last winter’s Gaza offensive, a Cabinet minister said yesterday, a decision that could open the government to an international war crimes inquiry.

Yeah, it's ALWAYS OKAY for Israel to tell the world to f*** off.

Where are the sanctions and s***, huh?

Oh, right, US veto.

Information Minister Yuli Edelstein said Israel would submit a document to the UN this week that deals only with Israel’s own investigations of its conduct during the three-week war. Those investigations have been conducted by the military, which has exonerated itself of any systematic wrongdoing....

What a shocker!

It was not certain that Edelstein’s comments were Israel’s last word on the subject....

Yeah, they are never done flapping their yappers. I've tuned them out.

By rejecting calls for an independent inquiry, Israel could open itself to international war crimes proceedings. But Israeli leaders are worried that forcing soldiers to testify could hurt morale and make troops wary of taking part in future battles....

Oh yeah?

So WHAT DO THEY HAVE on the DRAWING BOARD, 'ey?

The DESTRUCTION of the PALESTINIANS?

The RE-INVASION of LEBANON to grab the LITANI?

The SNEAK ATTACK on IRAN?

ALL THREE?

Nine Israel-based human rights groups issued a call yesterday for Netanyahu to order a full-fledged inquiry. In a joint statement, they said the internal probe “does not satisfy Israel’s obligations to investigate.’’

Amazing! BETTER than OUR JEWISH GROUPS, AmeriKa!!!!

Probably because we got the RICH ZIONIST JEW in control of our MASS MEDIA, huh?

Although Israel denies wrongdoing, it is worried about the report, which has battered its image internationally.

Bull-oney! They don't give a crap, otherwise all would be solved!

Israel launched the Gaza offensive after years of rocket barrages on its southern region. More than 1,400 Palestinians, including more than 900 civilians, were killed, as were 13 Israelis.

Yeah, the Zionist MSM does such a scrub job on that massive war crime!

We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen."

JERUSALEM - A senior commander with the Islamist Hamas organization’s military wing was killed in a Dubai hotel earlier this month, prompting what officials in the United Arab Emirates said would be an international search for members of a “professional criminal gang’’ it blamed for the slaying.

Why are we just hearing about it now on a Slow Saturday?

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh’s body was found Jan. 20, but information about his death was only made public yesterday after the corpse was returned to Damascus, where Mabhouh had lived in exile since leaving the Gaza Strip in 1989.

Oh, I see.

Hamas officials blamed Israel for the killing and vowed revenge. Israeli officials, in keeping with standard policy on such allegations, did not comment....

Who else could it be, really?

I mean, Israeli leaders have said they would do this.

A statement issued by Dubai’s official media office quoted police and security officials and said Mabhouh entered the country on the afternoon of Jan. 19 and was found dead within a day, suggesting that the killers had tracked his movements.... Medical reports supplied to family members in Damascus indicated that Mabhouh had been subjected to electric shocks and strangulation. He said he believes his brother has been the target of other assassination attempts.

Sure sounds like the efficiency of Mossad to me.

Israel has frequently targeted Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip, and there have been occasional allegations of assassination efforts abroad. Most notably, Israeli agents in 1997 tried to poison Hamas leader Khaled Meshal.

So they do it, probably poisoned Arafat so their stooge Abass could take over, etc, but you know, MSM here isn't going to go down that road.

Note that the MSM notes the one failure as opposed to all the "successes."

Missile anyone's car lately, Israel?

Instead it is HAMAS and the PALESTINIANS that must defend themselves in our overly-biased Zionist MSM:

"Hamas defends rocket attacks on Israel, rejects UN push for new investigation" by Associated Press | January 28, 2010

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Gaza’s Hamas rulers yesterday defended their actions during the war last winter, saying they did not target civilians while firing hundreds of rockets at Israeli towns, and rebuffing a UN call for a new inquiry....

In the aftermath of the war, most of the criticism has been leveled at Israel....

But you hardly read about that -- or the WMD USE!

About 1,400 Gazans were killed, many of them civilians. The UN commission said Israel intentionally targeted civilians, an allegation Israel hotly denied....

Related:

"The Goldstone report concluded that Israel used disproportionate force, deliberately targeted civilians, used Palestinians as human shields, and destroyed civilian infrastructure."

Shied away from the WMD use, huh?

Palestinian militants fired some 800 rockets and mortar shells into Israel during the war, killing three civilians, wounding about 80, and slightly injuring more than 800.

I don't know, there is a chart chart in there somewhere.

JERUSALEM - A US-based human rights group yesterday rejected a Hamas assertion that it did not target civilians during last year’s war with Israel, putting new pressure on the Islamic militant group days ahead of a UN deadline to respond to war crimes allegations.

Translation: HRW works for Zionist Israel!

The new claims against Hamas could carry extra weight because they came from Human Rights Watch, a group Israel has accused of bias against the Jewish state.

Now I no longer believe in HRW or the s*** fo0leys it plays with Israel.

So sad. I used to give them money so long ago. Never again.

The criticism from the New York-based human rights organization drew fresh attention to Hamas’s actions in the three-week war, during which about 1,400 Palestinians - most of them civilians - and 13 Israelis were killed. Most international criticism, including by Human Rights Watch, has been directed at Israel.

Yes, GET the SUBJECT OFF of ISRAEL'S WAR CRIMINAL ACTIONS by ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!

I mean, LOOK at the DISPARITY, for God's sake!

That is the INDICATOR of WHOM was the AGGRESSOR!!!!

Both Israel and Hamas face a Feb. 5 deadline to respond to allegations in a UN report that they committed war crimes and possible crimes against humanity during the fighting.

The report, put together by former war crimes prosecutor Richard Goldstone, accused Israel of using disproportionate force and targeting civilians. It also accused Hamas of firing rockets indiscriminately toward communities in southern Israel. The UN investigation called on each side to conduct independent inquiries into the allegations. Neither has delivered a formal response, and both have signaled they will not comply. An Israeli official said yesterday that Israel will deliver a letter to the UN today, explaining the scope of Israel’s internal investigations and declaring that Israel complied with international law during the Gaza conflict. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the letter has not been delivered.

I don't even know how to respond to that. We all saw and read what happened there last year -- and what continues to happen.

Hamas said in an internal document obtained by The Associated Press that its rocket and mortar fire were directed solely at military targets and that any civilian casualties were accidental.

Yeah, because most of them are HOMEMADE ROCKETS because of the curfew and they DON'T HAVE VERY GOOD GUIDANCE SYSTEMS (like Israel's AmeriKan-armed military machine)!!!

Related: The Gaza Rocket Squads

Yeah, and that, too!!!!

Palestinian militants fired some 800 rockets and mortar shells into Israel during the conflict, killing three civilians and wounding about 80.

Yeah, I keep reading that.

A frequent target was Sderot, next to the Gaza border, where there are no military bases.

That's as far as they could reach?

The rocket fire forced hundreds of thousands of Israelis to seek cover in bomb shelters.

Honestly, I'm tired of the POOR JEW CRAP while PALESTINIANS were BURNED BY WMD and had BUILDINGS COLLAPSED on them by MISSILES!

This is what is REALLY TURNING PEOPLE OFF to AmeriKan newspapers!

Human Rights Watch said its new criticism of Hamas is a response to the militant group’s internal report. “Most of the rocket attacks on Israel hit civilian areas, which suggests that civilians were the target,’’ and Hamas’s claim of aiming for military targets “is belied by the facts,’’ said Bill van Esveld, a researcher for Human Rights Watch.

Then the SAME IS CERTAINLY TRUE of ISRAEL -- beyond question!!!!!!!!!

He said Hamas also committed war crimes by launching rockets from populated areas.

Three killed, was that right?

Human Rights Watch has leveled serious accusations at Israel over its conduct during the Gaza war. It has released three lengthy reports about Israel’s wartime practices, including accusations that the Israeli army misused white phosphorous, an illuminating agent that can cause severe burns.

I am SURPRISED to SEE it in PRINT, even in the last afterthought paragraph of the piece!

--source--"

Yeah, that's what they looked like after being struck by the stuff.

What if that were YOUR KID, American? HOW WOULD YOU FEEL towards THOSE THAT DID IT, huh?

It has also alleged that Israeli troops shot civilians as they waved white flags. Israel denies the allegations.

They did do that, and no one believes Israel about nuthin' anymore!

And like I said about HRW, they do good work

"Group alleges rights abuses in Mideast" by Associated Press | January 27, 2010

CAIRO - A New York-based human rights organization criticized the governments of five Middle Eastern countries yesterday, including close US allies Jordan and Saudi Arabia, for their treatment of women and minorities.

Uh-huh.

Human Rights Watch released the chapters of its 2010 World Report that deal with Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Yemen, accusing them of poor treatment of women, minorities, and refugees.

Israel didn't make the list?

“Middle Eastern governments need to recognize that the rights of minorities, refugees, and stateless persons need greater protections,’’ the group’s Middle East director, Sarah Leah Whitson, said in a statement.

What's bombing them into submission with WMD do for 'em?

The release of these latest chapters of the annual report follows Sunday’s description of the postelection crackdown in Iran and the mistreatment of migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates.

Oh, was that them?

The chapters described a pattern of discrimination against minorities in the region, including Saudi Arabia’s treatment of its 2 million-strong Shi’ite population and Syria’s repression of its Kurds. In Lebanon, the report criticized the living conditions of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees, while asserting that the Yemeni government committed violations in its battle with Shi’ite rebels in the north.

Yup, they got EVERYBODY but ISRAEL!

Tensions with Shi’ites in Saudi Arabia reached new heights in 2009 when clashes between Shi’ite pilgrims and security guards in the city of Medina resulted in scores of arrests. At least one Shi’ite mosque was closed down in the kingdom.

Really? I don't recall reading that in my Boston Globe -- but then again, they don't report much on Saudi at all.

The report did note that King Abdullah had replaced conservatives in the religious establishment and judiciary, but it noted little overall improvement in human rights, especially for women.

Our friends!

Just to the south, in Yemen, Human Rights Watch described a severe deterioration in the rule of law as a government facing opposition on several fronts arrested journalists and activists. With a Shi’ite rebellion in the north and a southern separatist movement, Yemen’s government has conducted arrest campaigns against any suspected sympathizers of either movement.

Hey, we are with them now so we will overlook it in the name of fighting "terrorists!"

Ever notice how little the Shi'ites are referred to in Yemen's civil wars.

It's mostly 'CIA-Duh" when it comes to Yemen.
