Messages to Iran

USrael is coming -- but then, the Iranians know that.

"In video, Obama makes appeal to Iranians" by Associated Press | March 21, 2010

WASHINGTON — President Obama told Iranians in an online video message that [he] lamented that Tehran’s leaders have “turned their backs’’ on such good-faith overtures in the past to expand opportunities for their people.

Are you guys as sick of his BS as we are?

How about worrying about YOUR OWN CITIZENS OPPORTUNITIES HERE, Obomber, rather than agitating for more Israeli wars?

State radio in Iran quickly accused the Americans of “pursuing the same Iranophobic policy’’ as always.

They know nothing has changed.

In his second such video, Obama said the US offer of diplomatic dialogue still stands, but that the Iranian government has chosen isolation.

Seems to me that it is USrael that is isolated in this world now.

Otherwise, what is with the vetoes for Israel at the U.N.?

He said the United States believes in the dignity of every human being.

This from a nation that tortures people.

And does that include Palestinians, Obama, because you sure are quiet about the war crimes and siege of Gaza?

The White House released the video late Friday, timing it, as it did last year, to coincide with Nowruz, a holiday celebrating the arrival of spring and the beginning of the new year on the Persian calendar. The video comes as the United States has hit a rough patch in its relationships in the region, particularly with Israel.

Yeah, yeah, I'm not buying that bread-and-circuses s***.

There was no official reaction in Iran, and it was difficult to gauge to what extent those inside the country were able to see Obama’s message. Iranian authorities have blocked access to YouTube and many other sites that have been used by the opposition.

Obama has signaled a willingness to speak directly with Iran about its nuclear program and hostility toward Israel, a key US ally....

How about speaking to Israel about its hostility to, well, everyone!?

CAIRO — The Arab League chief wants the 22-nation bloc to engage Iran directly over concerns about its growing influence and its nuclear activities, in a step that could undermine US and Israeli efforts to isolate the country, diplomats said yesterday.

Translation: The Arabs do NOT want another USRAELI-INSPIRED WAR in their region!

Senior US officials including Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates toured the region last month to urge Arab allies to back Western efforts to increase the heat on Iran....

Arab diplomats said Secretary General Amr Moussa will present his proposal in a policy document to a two-day Arab League leaders summit in Sirte, Libya, that starts Saturday. The leaders are expected to discuss a range of regional issues, including stalled Middle East peace efforts and Iran.

Related: Arab League Endorses Israel

That's not a good start.

The engagement would take the form of a forum for regional cooperation and conflict resolution that would include non-Arab nations Iran and Turkey, two Arab League diplomats said.

Keep those two nations in mind for later.

They agreed to discuss details of the proposal on the condition of anonymity because of their sensitivity. One of the diplomats, who has seen Moussa’s document, said the League’s chief hopes the inclusion of Turkey — an increasingly influential Sunni Muslim nation — will provide a powerful counterbalance to Shi’ite Iran.

Is that the Zionist MSM framing and spinning it for you or what?

Always has to be a DIVISIVE WEDGE inserted no matter what the issue.

Couldn't be a COMING TOGETHER of the sects (if they are sparring at all; centuries of intermarriage and peaceful coexistence until Usrael gets there had me wondering even before Mossad's Dubai hit).

Moussa also wants authorization to initiate direct talks with Tehran on Arabs’ concerns over what they view as Iranian meddling in regional affairs, including through its support of militant groups beyond its borders....

If not spin the Arabs disappoint me greatly. They have to know what is going on with "Al-CIA-Duh" and the rest.

Of course, I have no reason to trust this accounting by AmeriKa's MSM, either.

Other US-allied Arab nations — most of which are led by Sunni Muslims — have been deeply concerned over the rising power of mainly Shi’ite and Persian Iran in the Middle East.

They oppose its support of Iraqi Shi’ites and militant groups like the Palestinian Hamas and the Lebanese Hezbollah and share Washington’s concern that Iran’s nuclear program is aimed at producing weapons.

Which is odd because Hamas are ARAB and SUNNI!

So which agenda-pushing lie can we dispatch, MSM, and how come you Arab leaders have failed the Palestinians so miserably?

But the West’s strategy in the standoff with Iran also troubles Arab leaders, who fear that its failure would lead to a military confrontation that could spill across their own borders.

It troubles us all.

The United States has tried to soothe those worries and has been bolstering defense systems in several Arab nations in the Gulf to combat the possible threat of missiles fired from Iran.

Okay, first of all, the U.S. isn't soothing worries it is building up defenses because it is preparing an attack.

On the second point, the justification is ludicrous.

The last thing the Iranians are going to do is fire of a missile.

They have been bending over backwards to avoid war, so any event as such will be viewed as a false flag in these quarters.

The Zionist AmeriKan MSM has simply lost the privilege of being believed.

A year of efforts by President Obama to engage Iran have hit repeated roadblocks, leaving Washington with few options other than to seek international support for more sanctions.

The United States and its Western allies are after a fourth round of UN sanctions....

Which they won't be getting.

Iraq all over again, 'eh, America?

Another factor behind the Arab push for their own Iran strategy is linked to their frustration over Washington’s stance regarding Israel’s insistence on building on land the Palestinians want for a future state.

Oh, yeah, DON'T BOTHER BRINGING THAT UP until LATE in the piece, Zionist MSM!

Arab nations look increasingly less likely to align with the US strategy on Iran if they feel they are getting nothing in return on Mideast peace efforts.

That has been the WHOLE RELATIONSHIP with Israel RIGHT from the START!

If Israel WANTED PEACE we would HAVE IT by now; however, we all know what PIECE Israel is talking about, don't we?

Skepticism is eroding Arab hopes that Obama will be able to help forge a deal between Israel and the Palestinians to end a conflict that has fueled anti-US sentiment in the region.

The latest food-fight flap has shown them who is on top.

In another sign of Arab disenchantment, Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit of Egypt said yesterday that his country will press the summit to focus on what is widely believed to be a secret nuclear weapons program in Israel and pressure it to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Oh, like IRAN?

That proposal -- while applauded -- is going nowhere!

“The priority of Arab countries should be to force Israel to join,’’ Aboul Gheit said, referring to the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency.

Good luck on that one.

And the link with Turkey, remember?

"Iranian dissidents find refuge, relative freedom in Turkey" by Anthony Faiola, Washington Post | March 14, 2010

Oh, the Washington Post, the CIA 's newspaper.... straight from the horse's mou..., well, try the other end.

KAYSERI, Turkey — After an hours-long interrogation, Iranian intelligence agents trailed Aida Saadat to the dimly lit streets of her neighborhood in Tehran, she recalled. Yelling out her name, they came at her with batons, then left her lying on the sidewalk bloodied and bruised.

“They called it a warning and said they’d be back,’’ said Saadat, a women’s rights activist and key figure in the political protests that have rocked Iran for months.

Yes, I have not seen much on protests inside Iran lately, and now the MSM is on the outside.

That night, she packed a small bag and joined hundreds of other dissidents who human rights groups say are escaping Iran in numbers not seen in years.

Try undercover foreign intelligence assets.

She crossed freezing rivers and traversed arid plains with the aid of a hired smuggler, she said, ducking patrols on her way to neighboring Turkey.

So this kind of human trafficking is okay?

Her departure in November added to a small but growing exodus of the crusading journalists, human rights activists, academics and artists who have long ranked among Iran’s chief agents of change.

They just about let the cat out of the bag there, huh?

They range from high-profile cases, such as dissident journalist Hasan Sarbakhshian and filmmaker Narges Kalhor, the daughter of a top adviser to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to the lesser-known members a nascent movement of gays and lesbians struggling for tolerance in a nation where homosexuality is punishable by death.

After a while, legitimate or not, as an AmeriKan newspaper readers you get sick of being beat over the head with Zionist War Club of Propaganda while that stinking stain of a state is allowed to literally get away with murder.

Some observers say their departure could set back the democratic movement in Iran, where Ahmadinejad’s disputed reelection last summer sparked protests and a crackdown on dissidents.

Saadat, for instance, for years openly fought against laws that institutionalize women as second-class citizens. In the election’s aftermath, she tapped into an underground network of women’s rights activists. She secretly fed details of street demonstrations to foreign news outlets and organized the mothers of slain student protesters for silent vigils in Tehran’s Lelah Park.

As the spies they are.

Now she is holed up in an unheated apartment in central Turkey, a nation that has forged closer ties with Iran in recent years and officially forbids refugees from engaging in political activity — a rule many have nevertheless ignored.

But the MSM SPIN ABOVE is that of a counterweight, blah, blah, blah.

F*** the LYING S*** MSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“You have high achievers in the political fight coming out of Iran, where their influence is going to be much less than if they were still there,’’ said Drewery Dyke, an Iran specialist with Amnesty International.

Some refugees in Turkey say they have received threatening phone calls from Iranian agents. One refugee said recently that operatives stole her cellphone, which was packed with contact information for dissidents in Tehran.

I really don't want to hear the complaints, sorry.

Yet Dyke and other rights activists said the dissidents’ relative freedom in exile offers them a better perch for their fight than would the inside of an Iranian jail. They are now helping fuel an international network of exiles who send blocked international news reports and details of upcoming protests to allies back home.

Lie I said, SPIES, AGENTS, and ASSETS!!!

This REALLY IS IRAQ ALL OVER AGAIN!

They also document abuses, including allegations of torture and rape at the hands of security forces, with human rights groups abroad.

Those in glass houses, USraeli mouthpieces.

“You now have people working together to say bring back the promise of a more transparent, open society that was lost when Ahmadinejad came to power,’’ said Hadi Ghaemi, director of the New York-based International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.

So when can we get some of that here in AmeriKa?

He later continued: “You even have gays and lesbians, presented as criminals by the government, becoming more active — forming networks, disseminating information. That’s how change can happen.’’

That's why I'm here.

And how have the Iranians responded?

TEHRAN — Iran has temporarily released an Iranian-American scholar serving prison time on an espionage conviction so he can spend the Iranian New Year holiday with his family, officials said yesterday.

How reasonable of them!!!

Kian Tajbakhsh, who was a social scientist and urban planner in New York, was the only American detained in the crackdown that crushed giant street protests by hundreds of thousands of people after June’s disputed presidential election. Iran traditionally releases some prisoners during the New Year holiday....

Tajbakhsh was arrested in July and brought to trial with more than 100 people, most of them opposition activists and protesters accused of seeking to topple the government.

Rights groups criticized the proceedings as a show trial and said televised courtroom confessions were probably coerced.

I expect the SAME TREATMENT and COMMENTARY regarding the U.S. SHOW TRIALS of KSM and the rest, 'kay?!!!

Tajbakhsh, who was in Iran to work on a book, was convicted of spying and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Last month an appeals court reduced his sentence to five years.

Is that the best the CIA spooks could come up with for a cover?

His family says he is innocent of any crime.

US officials, including Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, have repeatedly called for the scholar’s release.

Actually, I heard her department is crawling with CIA.

TEHRAN — President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s hard-line government said yesterday it has banned Iran’s largest pro-reform political party in a new strike against an opposition movement that has largely been swept from the streets....

Keeping the pressure on elsewhere, dozens of government-supporters descended on the home of Mahdi Karroubi, one of the main opposition leaders, on Sunday night, shouting slogans and vandalizing property....

Under the assault, opposition parties are already up against harassment, raids on offices, and the confiscation of documents and equipment. So it was not clear what additional effect yesterday’s announcement would have....

Translation: The soft CIA coup attempt failed, thus we get a gearing up for war here in the MSM.

And we are talking high gear here:

BEIRUT — Several siblings lived in a walled compound under Iranian guard after authorities picked them up for entering the country illegally. The Iranians treated Iman and her siblings well, but they lived in isolation.

Oh, the Iranians imprisoned the "Al-CIA-Duh" assets relatives for us over illegal immigration violations, did they?

And they treated them better than we treat our "guests," AmeriKa?

WASHINGTON — The newly released message, which aired on the al-Jazeera network yesterday, according to a translation provided by Flashpoint Partners, headed by terrorism specialist Evan Kohlmann, bin Laden said....

What, IntelCenter and SITE lost all credibility?

Oh, the, huh?

US officials dismissed the threat....

Of course they did because THEY KNOW!

Al Qaeda is not believed to have any US-born prisoners, but a Taliban group with close ties to Al Qaeda has been holding a US soldier in Pakistan for months. Private First Class Bowe Bergdahl was captured near a US military compound in Afghanistan in June....

So where is the CIA hiding him?

Paul Pillar, a counterterrorism specialist at Georgetown University and former CIA officer, said bin Laden’s new tape “takes advantage of the controversy over the issue of trying KSM . . . to sow additional fear among Americans.’’
