And here they come:
"Frenzied push for health care bill; Abortion one issue as House vote nears" by Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | March 20, 2010
WASHINGTON — President Obama and Democratic leaders lobbied furiously on health care yesterday, presenting the debate as a stark choice between patient rights and insurance company profits as they tried to round up the last votes they need to win House passage tomorrow of the historic legislation....
That's what the MSM is calling threats, extortion, and blackmail these days, huh?
Today, Obama plans to visit lawmakers at the Capitol in a final call for action on a domestic priority that is a centerpiece of his presidency.
Yeah, and if you DemocraPs don't save his health tax so you won't default on the deficits Obama's presidency will be over and the sky will fall -- until the next false-flag terror event. Then he will turn into Obomber the protector.
Leaders yesterday worked to persuade their colleagues, gathering in clusters on the House floor during votes and conducting private meetings in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. Some lawmakers were still withholding support because of concerns about the strength of abortion restrictions in the bill; others have local issues they were hoping to have addressed before the final House vote, scheduled for tomorrow.
The abortion issue is a cover story piece of crap and is going to stop nothing.
See: Few employers choose abortion coverage in health insurance plans
See?
But Pelosi, Democrat of California, said she was confident she would have the 216 yes votes needed to pass the measure.
Don't they need 218?
“I’m very excited about the momentum we’re developing around this bill,’’ Pelosi said. Democrats collected two more lawmakers who said they will switch from a “no’’ vote on last year’s bill to a “yes’’ vote tomorrow, bringing the number of switches to five members.
And one turncoat(?): Slow Saturday Special: Labor Lynch Mob in Massachusetts
She has momentum yet she lashed out at him?
Seven other House members who had been wavering also said they would support the package, and several powerful lobbies — including the American Medical Association and the AARP — announced their endorsements.
Asked directly if she had the votes, a calm and confident-looking Pelosi said, “We are bringing the bill to the floor, and we will have a significant victory for the American people.’’
She is one of the PRIME REASONS I want Repuglicans to take back Congress.
What an INSULTING and ARROGANT PoS she turned out to be as the first female speaker!!!! What an ABSOLUTE FAILURE her tenure has been.
She has DONE NOTHING that WE WANTED and HER SHE IS AGAIN!!!
Beginning in 2014, most Americans would be required to have health insurance or face penalties....
So you have four years to repeal the bill or leave the country, Americans.
The measure would be paid for with a combination of spending cuts to Medicare, taxes on costly health care plans, and a new Medicare tax on investment income for single Americans making more than $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000, who would also be hit by a higher Medicare tax on their earnings.
Gee, the preceding paragraph made me think there was no tax attached.
And notice the CUTS to MEDICARE when the insurance companies are already complaining they are being shorted?
Yeah, that's what you are looking at, America, and you are not going to be happy about it!!
But DemocraPs like Pelosi think you will be and think it is a victory!!
Can someone submit here for a mental evaluation?
The Capitol was a frenzy of activity yesterday, with supporters and opponents of the bill deluging congressmen with calls and e-mails.
They don't care; they are not listening.
They have a good, taxpayer gift of a health plan.

Yeah, you can't have that, Americans.
They have war looters, banksters, and favored corporations to fund.
Time for some heads to roll, America.
Some advocates defined the issue in the most dire terms, presenting the legislation either as a socialist plot or as a moral crusade to protect patients from evil insurance companies.
And the agenda-pushing newspaper picked up on both extremes and presented them to you, 'eh, readers?
Lawmakers huddled on the House floor, talking strategy and vote counts. Every potential vote switch was trumpeted in e-mails blasted out by both sides, each saying momentum was going their way. Obama, who canceled a Sunday departure for Indonesia, continued to call and meet with wavering lawmakers.
I'm sick of the s*** fooleys when the MSM is not telling you what is really happening behind those doors.
Republicans watched glumly as Democrats trotted out new “yes’’ votes and a list of medical and labor groups backing the bill. Well outnumbered by Democrats, the GOP can only hope that Democrats in swing districts will be convinced they may lose re-election in November if they vote for the sweeping package....
Sure sounds like it is a fait accompli.
Thirty-nine Democrats voted against the first House health care bill in November. Some of those have switched to yes votes, citing the $138 billion deficit reduction in the latest version.
Oh, the self-serving CBO report was cover, huh?
Still naked, a** holes.
At the same time, however, some lawmakers who voted for the health care bill last winter are holding out as undecided, seeking assurances that their states will not be short-changed.
Translation: How big a bribe am I going to get?
Representative Michael Capuano, Democrat of Somerville, said he is examining the text of the bill but appeared to be leaning toward a positive vote. “The thing I’m looking at is the numbers for Massachusetts,’’ he said.
Pffft!
PoS prick !
Oh, yeah, HE HAS GREAT, TAXPAYER-PROVIDED HEALTH CARE!
The Bay State would get an estimated $2 billion over the next 10 years in extra federal Medicaid assistance, under the package released this week.
Oh, that was the extortion price of our state.

So who lost out?
Democratic Representative Peter DeFazio, meanwhile, is upset over Medicare formula changes he said are not helpful to his state of Oregon.
Abortion remained a sticking point for a small but potentially crucial group of lawmakers....
Don't you love the lying?
Businesses aren't offering it and there is no public option.
Be$ide$, that $ide i$$ue i$ not $topping thi$!
Some lawmakers, led by Michigan Democratic Representative Bart Stupak, are trying a different tactic, trying to convince Democratic leadership to consider a resolution changing the language after — and if — the health care bill is approved. The abortion debate continued last night, with Pelosi arguing that lawmakers should not allow bickering over the issue to fell such an historic bill.
I don't think is going to.
So when are they passing it, 2 o'clock tonight or tomorrow night?
I would love to be wrong for once.
It was unclear how many lawmakers Stupak has in his camp. Many pro-abortion rights Democrats believe it is fewer than the dozen Stupak claimed to have earlier this week....
So he is jostling for his own deal with the inflated count?
Or are the pro-abortion people just pushing
Representative James McGovern, Democrat of Worcester and a high-ranking member of the Rules Committee which will take up the bill today, said he was optimistic that wavering Democrats would come on board.
“I feel like momentum’s on our side,’’ he said. “I think people realize this is a historic moment.’’Why do you think we are so frikkin' angry, s***ter?

Updates:
"As Obama's motorcade approached the Capitol, crowds of protesters turned and waved signs that read, "Kill the bill," "Stop the spending," and "Get your hands out of my pocketbook and health care." Many protesters booed and gave the president a thumbs down as the motorcade passed by.

So how is it going up there?
Rules Committee meeting descends into chaos
"Congressional representatives understand, very clearly, that this bill is neither about health or true reform: it is about bringing into being a draconian unit of the IRS to monitor and control all Americans' health and financial records, raising taxes, and lining the pockets of those insurance executives who have contributed to their campaigns.
The American people are furious, and they have let Congress know it, with phone calls, faxes, and emails. But most in Congress are completely ignoring their constituents, some to the point of referring dissenting phone calls to the DC Federal police as "harassment."
Even though Waxman and some of his cronies are declaring that they will not "deem" this legislation as passed, all bets are off tomorrow.
I wouldn't bet against their invocation of the Slaughter rule tomorrow, if it appears that this bill doesn't have enough votes to pass.
And should that happen, the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America, as we have known it, will cease to exist.
We will then be living under the rule of corporations, not the rule of law." -- Wake the Flock Up
