But don't worry; the MSM says it will be a good thing!

Sort of goes without saying, doesn't it?
Yeah, I thought something smelled.
"Government raises its spill estimate again; Scientists say up to 2.5m gallons leaking daily" by Ray Henry, Associated Press | June 16, 2010
NEW ORLEANS — Scientists provided a new estimate for the amount of oil gushing from the ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday that indicates it could be leaking up to 2.52 million gallons of crude a day....
Translation: They have NO CLUE how much it really is and have minimized the amount from the beginning.
The latest numbers reflect an increase in the flow that scientists believe happened after undersea robots earlier this month cut off a kinked pipe near the sea floor that was believed to be restricting the flow of oil, just as a bend in a garden hose reduces water flow....
Yup, it MADE the PROBLEM WORSE is what it did!
It is the fourth — and perhaps not last — time the federal government has had to increase its estimate of how much oil is gushing....
As of yesterday....
Why should we believe anything they say anymore?
Do you continue to faithfully believe a liar?
Meanwhile, a drill ship resumed siphoning off oil gushing from the blown-out well yesterday after a bolt of lightning struck the vessel and ignited a fire that halted containment efforts, BP said....
A THUNDERBOLT from GOD because this is a SALVAGE OPERATION ($o they can $till $ell the oil) rather than a CLEAN-UP?!!!!
The fire was another setback for the embattled company. It happened as President Obama was in Florida as part of a two-day visit to the stricken Gulf Coast....

"Obama pledges to lead on Gulf; TV speech stresses what BP must do; cites oil disaster in climate bill push" by Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | June 16, 2010
WASHINGTON — President Obama’s first address from the Oval Office — an event that marked the gravity of the situation....
At last, the Globe tells the truth!
See: Obama's 9/11
It's actually WORSE than that or Katrina!
This is an ONGOING and CONTINUING EVENT!!!!!
What is the world going to do when oil starts lapping up on the shores of Canadian and Europe beaches?
Obama sought to tie the spreading disaster with a need to reshape the future of energy in America, renewing his call for sweeping legislation in a passionate appeal.....
Frikkin' SHAMELESS!!!
The ENVIRONMENT had NOTHING to do with this CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE and ENVIRONMENTAL WAR CRIME!!

That's what I get in my paper, yeah.
Senators John F. Kerry of Massachusetts and Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, co-authors of the Senate climate change bill, hailed the president’s speech. “This could be a historic leadership moment,’’ Kerry, a Democrat, and Lieberman, an independent, said in a joint statement.
Kerry said he has not yet secured the 60 votes to overcome an expected filibuster of the legislation but is meeting with Democrats and Republicans to cobble the votes together. “We’re within striking distance,’’ Kerry said in a brief interview before the speech. “I think that what it’s done is, it’s rekindled in people the urgency of getting a strong energy policy. People are really rethinking, anew, of what the mix is to get it done.’’
When you SEE that kind of LANGUAGE reach for your WALLET, Americans!!
If you Repuglicans want Congress back you will KILL the CARBON TAX!!
The OVERTAXED American people are in NO MOOD!!!!
Much of the speech recapped efforts the administration has made — and the president has recently hailed — since the leak began and its promises that it would ensure that the region recovers, economically and environmentally.
Yeah, if you closed your eyes you could hear George Bush from five years ago (I watched the pathetic 18 minutes of poopy-pap, folks).
But with his prime-time remarks, the president sought to convey he recognizes the gravity of the situation, amid ever-higher estimates of the rate of gushing oil.
Translation: His POLL NUMBERS are CRATERING!!
The leak and the foundering response by BP and federal agencies have channeled a barrage of criticism at Obama, not only for the perceived lack of a coherent and unified response to the spill but also for his shifting positions on offshore drilling and, to some, his inability to connect with the public emotionally.
I'm more concerned about the WAVING of SAFETY REGULATIONS than his ability to emote, PoS press!
William Leuchtenberg, a presidential scholar and professor emeritus at the University of North Carolina. “.... Unhappiness with him has reached a peak on the response to the Gulf.’’
Yeah, this was the straw that broke the camel's back after all the BROKEN PROMISES!!!!
Anymore GAS coming out of D.C.?
"Industry not ready for spills, executives say; House panel criticizes BP, urges apology" by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | June 16, 2010
WASHINGTON — BP America president Lamar McKay would not say whether the company would agree to establish an escrow account for future claims, a request that has been made by the Obama administration.
As executives from other companies sought to distance themselves from BP, some suggested McKay should resign — or worse.
“During the samurai days, we’d just give you a knife and ask you to commit hari-kari,’’ said Representative Joseph Cao, a Republican from Louisiana.
:-)
The hearing was the first time that top executives from the major oil companies were called before Congress since the oil rig exploded in the Gulf. Testifying for several hours were executives from BP, ExxonMobil,
Congress is in the midst of determining how to respond to the worst oil spill in the country’s history....
Most Democrats during yesterday’s hearing were critical of the oil companies.
But they took the campaign ca$h.
Republicans, while not outright defending the companies, said Democrats should not use the spill to score political points.
“This committee undermines its own credibility when it capitalizes on a tragedy — and this is a tragedy, 11 lives were lost — when we capitalize on a tragedy to push forward a political agenda,’’ said Representative Michael C. Burgess, a Texas Republican.
Only if it SERVES ISRAEL!!!!
Over the past two months, Representative Edward Markey, the Malden Democrat who is chairman of the Energy and Environment subcommittee, has been one of the most outspoken members of Congress about the oil spill. He forced BP to release its video feeds of the spill, providing footage that has become ubiquitous on cable TV....
Related: "Markey, the dean of the delegation, has taken eight congressional trips abroad since 2005, some in his capacity as chairman of a select committee on global warming."
Agenda-pushing hypocrite.
Yeah, thanks for helping out.
You know WHO is paying for those trips, don't you, U.S Taxpayers?
