So would you like Turd A or Turd B as a representative, dear Americans?

"PACs homed in on Capitol leaders

WASHINGTON — The political action committees of AT&T Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Philip Morris parent Altria Group Inc. are among the biggest donors to the four leaders of the US House and Senate, a watchdog group said.

Each political committee is among the 10 biggest donors to three of the top leaders through their congressional careers, according to the report by the Center for Public Integrity, based in Washington. The center plans to release additional details on PAC and individual donors to the leaders later this week.

AT&T, the largest US phone company, was the largest lifetime PAC donor to Senate majority leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio. The center did not release the top donor to Nancy Pelosi, the House speaker.

JP Morgan, the New York-based second-biggest US bank by assets, was among the top 10 lifetime PAC donors to McConnell, Boehner, and Pelosi, a California Democrat. Altria, of Richmond, Va., the largest US tobacco company, was among the top 10 lifetime PAC donors to Reid, McConnell, and Boehner.

“These moneyed interests are spending tens of thousands of dollars to keep each of their most reliable allies in positions of power,’’ said Bill Buzenberg, executive director of the center.

All for YOUR BENEFIT, of course, American citizen and voter.

Most of the top PAC givers to Pelosi and Reid represented labor unions and trial lawyers, while most of the top PAC donors to Boehner and McConnell represented business interests, the center said.

Special interests all.

Congressional Democrats said last month they would look at updating telecommunications regulations. The latest rewrite occurred in 1996.

Except for the UNCONSTITUTIONAL RETRO-IMMUNITY they were given under Bush for ILLEGALLY SPYING on Americans (something that continues under Obomber).

What, you think we forgot that, MSM?

AT&T, based in Dallas, is fighting proposals by the Federal Communications Commission to regulate Internet service providers, and it may be among the wireless companies seeking rights to airwaves in auctions to be conducted by the FCC.

"Former federal employees swell financial lobby ranks

WASHINGTON — Even for Washington, the revolving door between government and Wall Street spins at a dizzying pace....

Some of the biggest names highlighted in the study include former Senate majority leaders Robert Dole, Republican of Kansas, and Trent Lott, a Mississippi Republican; former House majority leaders Richard Armey, Republican of Texas, and Richard Gephardt, a Missouri Democrat; and former House speaker Dennis Hastert, an Illinois Republican.

The revolving door is evident in almost every major issue that comes before Congress, from regulation of the coal industry to the auto industry to the health-care sector.

That is why YOUR VOICE goes UNHEARD and IGNORED, Americans.

But the sheer scale of the overlap within the financial sector is remarkable: For every sitting member of Congress, the new study shows, there are three former colleagues or government staffers lobbying on behalf of the banks.

So the BANKING LOBBYISTS are TRIPLE-TEAMING each MEMBER, huh?

Related: Who REALLY Runs Washington

That is clear now.

David Arkush, director of Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division, said “Wall Street hires former members of Congress and their staff for a reason,’’ especially at a time when lawmakers are debating an historic overhaul of the way Wall Street does business. “These people are influential because they have personal relationships with current members and staff,’’ Arkush said. “It’s hard to say no to your friends....’’

And yet the authorities are always lecturing kids about peer pressure!

Yeah, I'm tired of the stinking, self-serving thieves!
