Oil Spill Has Made Obama Insane

Either that or he breathed too many fumes on his brief visit.

I'm sorry, but these outrageous statements go beyond lies, readers, and I regret to report his credibility as a president on anything has just cratered!

"Obama vows recovery for stressed Gulf Coast; BP will create compensation fund, aides say" by Erica Werner, Associated Press | June 15, 2010

THEODORE, Ala. — In a newly optimistic tone, President Obama promised yesterday that “things are going to return to normal’’ along the stricken Gulf Coast and the region’s fouled waters will be in even better shape than before the catastrophic BP oil spill..

"It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment because this man has gone totally insane... one look at Prince William Sound, site of the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989, shows that "normal" never came back. Of course, what Obama may really be saying is, "Get used to it, because this is the NEW normal!" -- Wake the Flock Up

He declared Gulf seafood safe to eat and said his administration is redoubling inspections and monitoring to make sure it stays that way.

"So we can assume that Gulf Sea Food will be served at the White House from now on?" -- Wake the Flock Up

“I am confident that we’re going to be able to leave the Gulf Coast in better shape than it was before,’’ the president said.

He truly is insane.

That pledge was reminiscent of George W. Bush’s promise to rebuild the region “even better and stronger’’ than before Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Bush could not make good on that promise, and Obama did not spell out how he would fulfill his.

He's just talking s***, America -- just like Bush!

With Obama hoping to convince a frightened Gulf Coast and a skeptical nation that he is in command, he is marshaling the tools at a president’s disposal: a two-day visit via Air Force One, helicopter, and boat to Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, and a prime-time speech tonight from the Oval Office.

It is TOO LATE for THAT!

Also see: Obama's 9/11

Yeah, the GRAVITY of the thing is FINALLY STARTING to DAWN on HIM!

Too bad it is too late.

So WHEN will the thing STOP GUSHING?

The Oval Office address, which will be televised nationally at 8 p.m., is intended to detail specific and potentially expensive new steps for responding to the spill. That is expected to include an ambitious plan to restore the fragile Gulf Coast ecosystem. The president also will argue for passage of comprehensive energy and climate change legislation....

HOW SHAMELESS that he is going to EXPLOIT THIS GOVERNMENT-ASSISTED CATASTROPHE and SHOVE a CARBON TAX up your you-know-where, America!!!!!!

He also will have a face-to-face White House showdown tomorrow with the executives of the oil company that leased the rig that exploded April 20 and led to the leak of millions of gallons of coast-devastating crude....

What that means is he is going to have them into a room and say what do we do about this?

Obama mixed optimism about the ultimate result with warnings that the recovery could take awhile....

Oh, now the CAVEATS in my agenda-pushing PoS!

In Washington, documents released by a congressional committee indicated that BP took measures to cut costs in the weeks before the well blowout as it dealt with problems. A company engineer described the doomed rig as a “nightmare well.’’

Yup, Globe chose to bury that like they have buried the truth.

Yup, Globe is hauling up more s***.

At first, some were skeptical that oil — which is lighter than water, and therefore rises — would remain beneath the surface. But recently, Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, said researchers from the University of South Florida had found “subsurface oil’’ moving much like a cloud of volcanic ash might about 40 nautical miles northeast of the well site.

That was being reported a month ago and government was denying it, sigh.

“There’s definitely oil there; it’s in low concentrations,’’ Lubchenco said. “That does not mean that it doesn’t have significant impact.’’

Then take a big drink from a tall glass.

Using the gliders to study the nearly two-month-old spill has an unexpected benefit: showcasing the cutting-edge technology in submersible robots....

Sort of makes it ALL WORTH IT, huh, readers?

Yeah, the GLOBE WOULD PAINT a SMILE on a SHIT and expect you to chug-a-lug it like a barrel of crude, Amurka!

Deep-sea submersibles were once an oddity. Perhaps the best known is Alvin, the Woods Hole-operated vehicle that surveyed the sunken Titanic in 1986.

And provided us with a great film!

Maybe James Cameron would be willing to help; BP obviously does not want to listen.

But most early submersibles were clunky, expensive, and limited by their human crew or lines tethering them to research boats. But as scientists and the government have become more interested in the ocean climate, unmanned robotic vessels like the Seaglider and Slocum, have come into wider use....

See: Spring Cleaning

Yup, COMING to the SKIES if they are not there already, America.

Seaglider 515, a new robot, was dropped in the water off Venice, La., on May 21....

That's why researchers knew about the plumes a month ago, isn't it?

MSM had to wait for confirmation from the lying government.

The robot finished its 100th mission last week, and has made a score of dives since....

Translation: THEY HAVE KNOWN for a LONG TIME, folks!

"Woods Hole scientists join oil spill study

Great. We will get some more global warming lies to go with the pollution.

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is joining with two institutions in Louisiana to research the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and come up with possible solutions. With Louisiana State University and the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium, Woods Hole formed the Gulf Oil Research Program. The project is expected to be funded significantly by BP, which ran the Deepwater Horizon rig that exploded, said a memorandum of understanding among the three groups. Federal, corporate, and private funds may also pay for research.

Let's check the share price before dumping this post:

"BP shares and shareholders under more pressure" by The Associated Press | June 14, 2010

BP shareholders who have already lost billions because of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico now must deal with the federal government's demand that the oil company set up a multibillion-dollar fund to help victims of the spill.

Yeah, poor BP and its shareholders, huh?

I noticed there were NO REPORTS of DEAD ANIMALS today!

In fact, NOT MUCH of ANYTHING about the actual GUSHER in my GLOBE!

That potential fund and the possibility that BP could forgo its second-quarter dividend drove the stock down again Monday after a small rebound at the end of last week....

Then again, maybe not (keep reading).

On Monday BP held a board meeting to discuss deferring its second-quarter dividend and putting the money into escrow until it knows how much the spill will cost....

That is not forgoing.

To forgo means give up, not put off until later.

Although the tab for the cleanup and damages will run well into the billions, many analysts agree with the company that it has the ability to continue to pay its dividend as well as the spill.

From forgoing to deferral to PAYOUT in ONLY THREE PARAGRAPHS, PoS MSM!!!

Still, they believe the company will defer the dividend, put the funds into escrow or pay it in shares.

PFFFFFFFFT!

I BELIEVE they are going to PAY IT OUT.... quietly!

At the current quarterly dividend rate of 84 cents per American depositary share, BP's dividend rate is an extraordinarily high 10 percent.

Oh, they will be paying it.

"I expect the dividend to be cut or suspended as a means of addressing some of the political pressure it's under," said Phil Weiss of Argus Research....

I don't.

Update:

"Scientists: Oil leaking up to 2.52M gallons daily" by Ray Henry, Associated Press Writer | June 15, 2010

NEW ORLEANS --Scientists provided a new estimate for the amount of oil gushing from the ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday that indicates it could be leaking up to 2.52 million gallons of crude a day....

The latest numbers reflect an increase in the flow that scientists believe happened after undersea robots earlier this month cut off a kinked pipe near the sea floor that was believed to be restricting the flow of oil, just as a bend in a garden hose reduces water flow. BP officials has estimated that cutting the kinked pipe likely increased the flow by up 20 percent....

So their "solution" made it WORSE?

Related: Cap Comes Off MSM Coverup of BP and Government Gulf Gusher

Think the Globe will get it back on by tomorrow?

The new numbers are based on a combination of scientific data, including an analysis of high-resolution video taken by underwater robots, pressure meters, sonar, and measurements of oil collected by the containment device on top of the well.

It is the fourth -- and perhaps not last -- time the federal government has had to increase its estimate of how much oil is gushing....
