"Mutilated goat dumped in couple’s yard

A Rehoboth couple said they were “shaken and concerned’’ after discovering a mutilated, dead goat on their lawn yesterday, police said. A neighbor alerted the Summer Street homeowners at about 8 a.m., said Chief Stephen J. Enos of the Rehoboth police. The goat was disemboweled and had a rope around its neck, he said. “It’s a serious offense,’’ Enos said. “It’s obvious that somebody who does that doesn’t have much regard for any type of life.’’
