Hey, it is Saturday night....

Seven at Plainville party face alcohol charges

They may have been dressed like adults, but most of them were not. Now they are facing grown-up charges.

Dozens of underage partygoers were detained Friday after Plainville police broke up a house party held on the theme, “Business Hoes and CEOs.’’

The case was especially alarming because it involved some young people from the same school district as 17-year-old Taylor Meyer of Plainville, who wandered away from a Norfolk house party in 2008 and drowned in a swampy area....

Police responded to a home on Melcher Street after receiving multiple 911 calls. One caller told police that “there was a party, and there was a lot of alcohol, marijuana, and ecstasy,’’ according to a police report....
