Globe's Tornado Clean Up

I'm only pitching in a little:

'It looks like a war zone'

A day after deadly tornadoes ripped through Central and Western Massachusetts, dozens of injured residents were recovering in hospitals, hundreds were homeless, and tens of thousands remained without power.

With storm raging, a mother makes the ultimate sacrifice

As the killer storm bore down outside, Angelica Guerrero rushed her 15-year-old daughter to the bathroom and pressed the girl into the shelter of their bathtub. Then Guerrero climbed in herself, huddling protectively over her child. It was the safest place the terrified mother could find. But it was not safe enough to save two lives.

A twister poses big challenge for meteorologists

Harvey Leonard, Channel 5’s chief meteorologist, weighed in on the region’s unusually powerful tornadoes from his vacation in Israel, where he finds himself explaining to other travelers that tornadoes are not unknown in Massachusetts.

The Bay State actually averages three tornadoes a year, he said....

Oh, so this isn't such a big deal after all?

And this you will only see in the printed paper:

BRACING FOR THE SURGE -- Members of the Army National Guard laid sandbags yesterday along the banks of the Missouri River in Dakota Dunes, S.D., where the water level is expected to rise 7 feet by June 14. South Dakota's governor, Dennis Daugaard, urged the city's 2,500 residents to evacuate and similar requests were made to the approximately 3,000 people living in the low-lying ares of Pierre and Fort Pierre.

"I will tell you why the media is no longer paying attention to the massive flooding hitting our nation. Because like Katrina, and like the Gulf Oil Disaster, and like last weekend's DNS attacks, the current flooding proves that the US Federal Government has, in their devotion to taking care of Israel, not taken any care at all of the United States. The current flooding, like Katrina, and like the Gulf Oil Disaster, and like last weekend's DNS attacks, proves that the Federal Government is very good at dealing with phony monsters they themselves create to scare you into wars of conquest, but totally inept and incompetent at dealing with the real world. And more to the point, the record flooding is the melt from the record snow across the north, something that was not supposed to happen at all according to the global warming/ carbon tax cult. And because the carbonazis are inevitably going to try their fraud again this summer, heavy snow and floods from melted snow are simply not being reported as incompatible with political doctrine and tax policy." -- Wake the Flock Up"

You know, the BEST of GOVERNMENT!!
