Speaking of Romney fund-raising:

"Romney reportedly raised $11m to $13m in quarter; Total falls short of fund-raising in first 3 months
September 30, 2011|By Matt Viser, Globe Staff

WASHINGTON - As a sign of the types of challenges Republicans will have in going up against the Democratic incumbent, President Obama and the Democratic National Committee are aiming to raise $55 million during this quarter. They raised $86 million during the last quarter.

The hosts for Romney’s $500-a-person fund-raiser last night were brothers J.W. Marriott Jr. and Richard Marriott and their wives. Romney has longstanding ties to the Marriott family. His father, George Romney, was close with J.W. Marriott Sr., and Mitt Romney’s first name, Willard, comes from the hotel magnate.

J.W. Marriott Jr., his brother, and their wives were the largest contributors to Romney’s political action committees in recent years, giving some $230,000 to Free and Strong America between 2008 and 2010. More recently, the brothers each gave $500,000 to Restore Our Future.

In between presidential campaigns, Romney also was a member of the hotel company’s board. He stepped down in January this year....

Among other candidates, Representative Ron Paul of Texas is planning to report at least $5 million, according to his campaign manager, Jesse Benton.

Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota is not planning to announce her figures before the Oct. 15 filing deadline, according to spokeswoman Alice Stewart. Spokesmen for former governor Jon Huntsman of Utah, former senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, and businessman Herman Cain did not respond yesterday to requests about their finances.

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, whose campaign was $1 million in debt after the last quarter, was in no mood yesterday to entertain questions about his fund-raising.

“See, I knew you couldn’t resist. I’m not going to answer you,’’ Gingrich told reporters in Des Moines, according to the Los Angeles Times. “You should really go home and think about why you would even ask that today.’’

Maybe that's why your behind, Mitt. Gotta charge more per plate (as people in this once great nation go hungry and starve).

"Emergency food banks now a mainstay" September 29, 2011|Associated Press

NEW YORK - A report released yesterday by Feeding America, a hunger-relief organization, finds that food banks that were originally created to serve as stop-gap emergency food providers are now taking a long-term, chronic role for Americans turning to them routinely to get enough to eat....

“It’s not the role they were created for,’’ said Vicki Escarra, president of the Chicago’s Feeding America, “But we are doing that right now because we have to.’’

"Foreign accomplishments may not lift Obama in ’12" by Julie Pace Associated Press / October 2, 2011

WASHINGTON - President Obama may have a string of counterterrorism successes and earned high marks from the public on foreign policy, but neither is likely to help him hold the White House.

For his administration, polls that place economic issues far ahead of terrorism in the minds of voters are a frustrating election reality....

So WHEN and WHERE is the INSIDE JOB FALSE FLAG this time?

Barring unforeseen events, the nation’s stubbornly high unemployment rate and turmoil in the financial markets mean people are far more likely to vote next November with the economy foremost in their minds, not the president’s record on foreign policy and terrorism.

That SURE is a CRYPTIC STATEMENT, isn't it?

That is bad news for the administration....

So WHO WOULD BENEFIT -- they think -- from some sort of "terrorism?"

The attack on Awlaki apparently was the first time a US citizen was tracked and killed based on secret intelligence and the president’s say-so, raising questions about the reach of presidents’ powers.

It's officially a dictatorship now.

Yup, another CIA-Duh CUT-OUT who was previously reported killed!

Texas Representative Ron Paul, a GOP presidential contender, called it an “assassination’’ and said Americans should not casually accept such violence against US citizens, even those with strong ties to terrorism.

The ONLY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE with BALLS!

But most other top Republican candidates, including former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and Governor Rick Perry of Texas, saw little downside in praising the president for his role.

With the first nominating contests about three months away, foreign policy and terrorism have been virtually absent from the Republican race. When the issues have arisen, most GOP contenders have tried to portray the president as a weak leader. It is a sentiment they hope taps into voters’ frustration with the economy.

Beyond his counterterrorism efforts, Obama aides say they believe the president will get credit come Election Day for his foreign policy achievements in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, as well as for his support of other democratic uprisings throughout the Arab world.

No he won't. He HAS NOT ENDED the WARS as PROMISED, and he STARTED ANOTHER ONE!

But there is some concern among Obama backers that the one foreign policy initiative most likely to find a place in the 2012 campaign is one that has achieved little success: securing peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

No, he's done what Israel has asked of him.
