Huntsman Out of the Hunt For GOP Nomination

Despite his groveling at the feet of the masters who control U.S. foreign policy.

“I cannot live with a nuclear-armed Iran. If you want an example of when I would use American force, it would be that.’’

Well, you don't have to because they are not building a bomb (although who could really blame them if they were?).

Besides, Obama's going to beat you to the punch.

"Huntsman pushes economics over military in foreign policy talk" October 11, 2011

Jon Huntsman laid out a blueprint yesterday for a limited foreign policy, which stresses America’s economic strength over its military might....

Huntsman would bring most of the troops from Afghanistan home this year.

“After 6,000 lives lost and more than $1 trillion spent, it is time to bring our brave troops home,’’ Huntsman said. “We could go from 100,000 boots on the ground to a much smaller footprint in a year, while leaving behind an adequate number of counterterrorist and intelligence functions and a facile special forces presence.’’

Generally, Huntsman’s goals would be to “end nation-building, engage our allies, and fix our core.’’

Huntsman said that having a more limited approach to foreign engagements would allow the military to remain prepared to respond to more direct threats - for example, from Al Qaeda terrorists or from a nuclear Iran.

“I cannot live with a nuclear-armed Iran,’’ Huntsman said. “If you want an example of when I would use American force, it would be that.’’

"Also yesterday, the Associated Press reported that Jon Huntsman Jr., the former ambassador to China and governor of Utah, is carrying $890,000 in debt for his presidential campaign even after giving his campaign about $2 million of his own money....

We call that wasting money.

Bye-bye, Jon.  Bye-bye.
