URBANA, Ohio - Five people were arrested in connection with the death of an Ohio woman who police said was stabbed, suffocated, and dismembered in a bathtub before some of her remains were taken about 90 miles to Kentucky.
Officers said Sunday that Jessica Rae Sacco, 21, was found dead Friday in her apartment in Urbana, about 40 miles northwest of Columbus.
Authorities arrested five people Saturday, including a 25-year-old man who lived at the same address as Sacco.
His bond was set at more than $530,000.
“We believe that he stabbed her and then subsequently suffocated her by placing a bag over her head,’’ police Chief Matt Lingrell told WDTN-TV.
The station said police described the murder suspect as Sacco’s on-again-off-again boyfriend....

A Cleveland woman was charged with murder Saturday in the stabbing death of her best friend, who tried to drive away afterward and fatally struck the accused woman’s 2-year-old daughter, police said. The two women were sitting in a running parked car Thursday when they began to quarrel, police said. Kimberly Black left the vehicle, went into her house, returned with a knife and stabbed Sharice Swain, said Sergeant Sammy Morris, a police spokesman. The wounded Swain then stepped on the gas pedal and hit Black’s two young children, who were standing near the car. CLEVELAND - A 17-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated murder in the school shooting deaths of three students and the wounding of three others, according to an indictment released Tuesday.
The indictment was returned by a Geauga County grand jury against T.J. Lane in the Feb. 27 attack at Chardon High School, east of Cleveland. A judge ruled last month that Lane must be tried as an adult. Lane could face life in prison if convicted....
A psychiatrist who examined Lane testified earlier that Lane sometimes loses touch with reality and suffers from hallucinations, psychosis, and fantasies. But Dr. Phillip Resnick said that none of the symptoms detailed in a mental evaluation would prevent Lane from understanding the case against him and helping in his defense.

TOLEDO, Ohio - A 9-year-old boy removed from his mother’s custody after his weight ballooned to more than 200 pounds returned home slimmer with a free gym membership, exercise equipment, and even a new scale.
His story has compelled donations from community organizations. But it will be up to the boy and his family to make sure he does not regain the weight and end up back in court after a judge in Cleveland released him from protective supervision Thursday.
The boy, who was placed in foster care last fall and then spent three
months living with an uncle, lost about 50 pounds through exercise and
healthy eating. He was returned to his mother under protective
supervision in March.
