"Ohio man sentenced in $17m Amish fraud case" Associated Press, June 14, 2012
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - An Amish man who managed investments for members of his religious community in 29 states was sentenced to more than six years in prison Wednesday for defrauding them out of nearly $17 million....
“This was fraud on a massive scale,’’ said US Attorney Steven Dettelbach. “This defendant took advantage of people’s trust in him and squandered the life savings of hundreds upon hundreds of families.’’
Not a big deal when it is Wall Street banks. Then they get gobs and gobs of tax loot to balance their books and hand out bonuses -- before returning to the billions-per-quarter-in-profits schemes and swindles.
