"Obama to visit Mass. for fund-raisers" by Glen Johnson | Globe Staff, June 24, 2012
President Obama’s attacks on Mitt Romney’s private equity career at Bain Capital have drawn condemnation from some prominent Democrats.

Against that backdrop, though, the president is returning to a reliably Democratic state just before the end of the second fund-raising quarter, seeking to top off his campaign kitty.

Meanwhile, top Obama strategists told reporters in Washington last week that their focus on Bain has opened eyes among critical middle-class voting blocs.
Are you fooled, middle class folk? I mean, all these economic and inequality issues happened with the collaboration of both parties, damn, their encouragement even. And then every four years we are treated to this s*** show fooley on how different the parties are, blah, blah, blah.
I mean, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING for the LAST FOUR YEARS anyway, Obama? You HAD A FILIBUSTER-PROOF SUPERMAJORITY (so we were told) and all we got was a CRAPPY CORPORATE HEALTH BILL that pressured the Supreme Court to get passed!
Hell, same said Congress EXTENDED the BUSH TAX CUTS -- and now they have to slash social services, something that could have been avoided had they... sigh.
I GET SO SICK of the SHIT, folks!!!! Obama HAD HIS FOUR YEARS and the result was an EXTENSION of the BUSH PRESIDENCY!
So here is your choice, Americans: "change" to Romney and get the same plan with a neoconservative hand as the former Bush administration returns, or stick with Obama and get the neoliberal knife in your back with the other arm around your shoulder as the same agenda is advanced again. They didn't stick up for public unions, folks, and they did the same things Republicans did in rolling back collective bargaining and health benefits. Of course, it was with a friendly hug from Democrats and that makes all the difference in the world.
And they say the campaign’s support among minorities, including a growing Hispanic population, surpasses that for the Republicans.

The president himself has shifted to full campaign mode, ratcheting up his rhetoric as he makes appearances across the country....
Just as my coverage of the campaign is ratcheted down; ya think there is a connection?
Obama will spend the night in Boston after his fund-raisers, before jetting off Tuesday for more campaign events in Atlanta and Miami....
What's the carbon footprint on that, 'eh?

"Obama rallies supporters at Boston events; 3 fund-raisers add about $3m to election coffers" by Brian MacQuarrie and Brian Mooney | Globe Staff, June 26, 2012
President Obama thanked Boston Monday for trading Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis to his Chicago White Sox, but he owed far more thanks to the supporters who donated thousands of dollars to see him at three Boston-area fund-raisers.
Sigh, sports and politics, sigh.
His campaign did not release the day’s total take, but multiplying the per-head minimums by attendees at the events indicated an amount upwards of $3 million.
All spent on politics as Americans suffer.
The whirlwind day — with stops at Hamersley’s Bistro in the South End, Symphony Hall, and a private home in Weston — was intended to tap a Massachusetts well that has yielded fewer maximum individual contributions than the president collected in his 2008 campaign. As of a month ago, the number of Bay State supporters who contributed the $2,500 maximum to Obama’s campaign fund had plunged by nearly half when compared with the same period four years ago.
The largest turnout was at Symphony Hall, where a diverse crowd of 1,800, gathered around circular tables and in the balconies, lavished the president with both applause and rapt attention....
Obama left the restaurant for the five-minute drive to Symphony Hall, where hundreds of people stood behind barricades.
Many held signs, including one that read, “The 1% of Boston Welcomes Obama.”
That's my point. This guy is just as much a corporate tool as the other guy. I'm SICK and TIRED of the DISINGENUOUSNESS!!
At Symphony Hall, general-admission tickets started at $250, with a limited number at $144 for younger supporters. And at the day’s final event at the Weston home of Judi and Douglas Krupp, 100 people who attended dinner with the president paid $17,900 each.
Yup, he winged into town and picked up some campaign check$.
Diners there included Governor Deval Patrick; state Treasurer Steve Grossman and his wife, Barbara; Hingham insurance executive Phil Edmundson; and Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ founder, Josh Boger....
