Boston Globe Business Bracket

"The annual men’s college basketball tourney — “March Madness,” as many fans call it — is a high-stakes affair not only on the court but also on the balance sheet."

 So once again, it's all about the money.

Another thing is I did my tournament brackets according to the Boston Globe (really wrong there) and they are (wow, wrong again) currently in last in the pool I'm in (they are tied for last with my mother's entry after the first day -- and she doesn't know anything about basketball. She didn't even know some of the colleges or where they are located). I'm not lying to you, folks, I would never do that. I'm telling the truth, and it so emphasizes the points I make here. I mean, the Globe can't even add (I noticed they fixed the typo in my printed paper that claimed a 38-25 lead was a 14-point lead). The picks I made for myself because I always play two are currently in third place with a decent chance to win the thing if everything breaks right for me (I have Duke, Ohio State, Indiana, and Florida reaching the Final Four).

 I only note all this silliness to let you know that the Globe is suspect when it comes to even the most minute details sometimes. Maybe they do a good job on an individual issue or story sometimes (and even that is called into question if you fall months and months behind and then attempt to catch up; when that happens you see the omissions and obfuscations in a brighter light), but for the most part it is edged with elitist insults, sloppy style, and ceaseless agenda-pushing. It may not even be real. It may be nothing more than a staged and scripted psy-op as we have seen so many times.

 They told us it wasn't going to be until 2014 and that was projecting a better recovery than has occurred -- if there ever was one at all.
