Globe Quiet on AIPAC Conference

So much so they took a meat axe to the article:

"Iran told to allow access to inspectors; UN seeks clues on nuclear tests" by Alan Cowell  |  New York Times, March 05, 2013

LONDON — Also on Monday, Vice President Joe Biden assured the American Israel Public Affairs Committee that President Obama was not bluffing when he threatened to use military force — if all else failed — to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Good thing they aren't building one.

What the Globe's web version didn't want to tell you:

“Presidents of the United States cannot and do not bluff, and President Barack Obama is not bluffing,” the vice president said, drawing one of several standing ovations for his remarks.

From about 13,000 I'm told in print.

Three weeks before President Obama makes his first trip as president to Jerusalem, Biden sought to smooth over any friction between the United States and Israel, telling the influential pro-Israel lobbying group that "no president has done as much to physically secure the state of Israel."

Yeah, great.

Then it's all Israel complaining about Obama not visiting during his first term and Israeli screaming for war with Iran. They should consider themselves lucky he's going at all, for were I president I wouldn't set foot in that stain of a state until it was dissolved and called by its rightful name: Palestine.

What I noticed and added on my own:

Biden cited what he said was the president’s unshakable commitment to Israel’s military superiority in the region....

Biden did not mention settlements, and said little about the peace process.

In other words, he kissed Israeli ass.

More hunting I had to do to get you what my printed paper gave me:

Secretary of State John Kerry said at a news conference in Saudi Arabia on Monday that “talks will not go on for the sake of talks” with Iran, “and talks cannot become an instrument of delay that will make the situation more dangerous.

“So there is a finite amount of time,” he said.

I wish you would just shut up, senator.

Moreover, Yukiya Amano, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said on Monday that “Iran is not providing the necessary cooperation to enable us to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities. The agency therefore cannot conclude that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities.”

How do you prove a negative?

I mean, we just went through all this with Iraq!

About that visit:

"Obama to make first visit to Israel as president" by Josh Lederman  |  Associated Press, February 06, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Obama will go to Israel in the spring, the White House said Tuesday, marking his first visit to the staunch US ally since becoming president. While in the region, Obama will make stops in the West Bank and Jordan.

Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel discussed the visit in late January, when Obama congratulated Netanyahu on his success in Israel’s recent election....

???  I was told he came out of it weak.

‘‘The start of the president’s second term and the formation of a new Israeli government offer the opportunity to reaffirm the deep and enduring bonds between the United States and Israel and to discuss the way forward on a broad range of issues of mutual concern, including Iran and Syria,’’ said Tommy Vietor, spokesman for the National Security Council....

Translation: the AmeriKan officers of government will be receiving their marching orders from their masters.

Although Obama visited Israel and Jordan while running for president in 2008, he hasn’t been back since, drawing intense criticism from some pro-Israel groups that have said he is insufficiently supportive of the United States’ closest Mideast ally.

Other top administration officials, including former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton, have visited, and Clinton’s replacement, John F. Kerry, is expected to travel to Israel on his first Mideast trip.

He didn't.

For Obama, the trip might also be a chance to improve his image within Israel, where many view him as not supportive enough of the Jewish state....

I thought he was the president of the United States.

The announcement of Obama’s visit comes at a time of uncertainty for Netanyahu, who emerged weakened from January’s election....

But it was a success?

Obama’s upcoming trip was a long time in the making....

Obama’s campaign said that if he were re-elected, he would visit Israel during his second term....

Oh, so he keeps that promise!?!

For Obama, starting his second term out on firmer ground with his Israeli counterpart could also make it easier to coordinate on a number of pressing regional issues of critical concern to both nations.

Translation: The ATTACK on IRAN is COMING SOON!

These include Iran’s nuclear program and Syria’s ongoing civil war, plus lingering questions about what kind of partner President Mohammed Morsi of Egypt will be in efforts to bring stability to the region.

He was fine until he stood with the Gazans against Israeli aggression.

Others can see a lot clearer than the Globe.

Of course, one must realize that the AIPAC conference is being downplayed in the Jewish-controlled AmeriKan press this year because even they know the American people are fed up with government servility to Israel -- and it wouldn't look good when the attack on Iran is days away.
