"Billerica man arraigned on eighth OUI charge

A 62-year-old Billerica man pleaded not guilty Friday in Ayer District Court to an eighth charge of operating under the influence of alcohol, as well as numerous additional charges, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said. Authorities said a Boxborough police officer who was monitoring traffic on Interstate 495 May 11 saw Guy Patierno driving a white van that was speeding and passing traffic unsafely. When Patierno’s car was searched, officers allegedly found numerous empty bottles of alcohol and a blackjack. The inspection sticker on the car was counterfeit, said Stephanie Chelf Guyotte, a spokeswoman for Ryan."
