Biden May Make Bid For President

"Hillary Rodham Clinton is considered the overwhelming favorite to win the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination should she run, but Vice President Joe Biden has not ruled out a bid of his own. Democrats note that Biden has strong relationships across the state, but several of his former supporters have already begun to get behind Clinton. Biden offered an optimistic vision for America’s economy after touring the New Hampshire Works Center, a career center that connects unemployed workers with career counseling, computer access, and training at local businesses. He praised Governor Maggie Hassan’s leadership: ‘‘The reason we’re here, notwithstanding what others may think, is a simple proposition: You run the best outfit in the country,’’ he told the small crowd gathered inside the Nashua center, the governor at his side."

She's mean!

He may have the job sooner than he thinks:

"Man who shot at White House sentenced to 25 years" | Associated Press   April 01, 2014

WASHINGTON — An Idaho man who pleaded guilty to firing an assault rifle at the White House in 2011, striking the executive mansion more than half a dozen times, was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison.

Prosecutors initially charged Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 23, with attempting to assassinate President Obama but agreed to drop the charge as part of a plea deal last year. Ortega-Hernandez instead pleaded guilty to two charges, including damaging the building.

The mouthpiece media and government must be stoned if they think we are buying that.

The president and Michelle Obama were not home at the time of the shooting, and no one was injured. But prosecutors said Ortega-Hernandez jeopardized the lives of two other members of the Obama family who were at the home, as well as White House employees and staff, Secret Service agents, and bystanders....

Ortega-Hernandez referred to Obama as ‘‘the anti-Christ.’’

Actually, I am of the belief that he has come and gone -- and no one noticed.

Ortega-Hernandez’s lawyers argued that he was suffering from extreme depression and mental stress at the time of the shooting and was under the misguided belief that the end of the world was coming.

Okay, what prescription pharmaceuticals was he on, and I gave up on the end of the world thing when the Mayans got it wrong.

Then this whole Ukraine business started up.

Ortega-Hernandez’s lawyers said his motivation in firing a gun at the White House was to ‘‘call attention to what he believed was the coming apocalypse.’’

Nobody fart, 'kay?

Look, I may be angry at the guy and his policies, but I'm also afraid of what comes next.

NEXT DAY UPDATE:

"Hillary Clinton to speak at Boston leadership meeting" by Jim O’Sullivan | Globe Staff   April 03, 2014

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, regarded as the leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, will address a women’s leadership conference in Boston on April 23.

Clinton, who has not disclosed her political plans, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Simmons Leadership Conference, which calls itself “the premier women’s leadership conference in the world” on its website.

The former New York senator’s public reticence in the face of rampant speculation about her White House hopes has effectively frozen much of the Democratic field. Two Massachusetts Democrats frequently mentioned as potential presidential candidates, Governor Deval Patrick and Senator Elizabeth Warren, have forsworn interest in a 2016 bid.

But that doesn't mean they won't run!

There is more, and it's not good.

Will Liz Warren Run For President?

I hope not after the whopper of a lie she told!

Clinton’s Simmons address is scheduled to be moderated by the school’s president, Helen Drinan. Its website credits Clinton with “a central role in restoring America’s standing in the world, reasserting the United States as a Pacific power, imposing crippling sanctions on Iran and North Korea, responding to the Arab Awakening, and negotiating a ceasefire in the Middle East.”

I don't know where to begin.

First of all, the appropriate word should be blame not credit.

I don't know what standing she is talking about being restored, because right now the U.S. reputation is in the gutter due to Syria and Ukraine at the moment, among other spots not mentioned as much where the U.S. is fomenting unrest to create conditions for coups.

The pivot to the Pacific means trying to make a war anywhere you can, and to take "credit" for sanctions that are an act of war, well, it just shows you that my new$paper is nothing more than the warped world view of the elite.

As for "responding" to the Arab Awakening (not Spring because spring hasn't come yet?), I'm beginning to believe that was more and more CIA-engineered stuff to clear out stale old dictators and replace them with fresh faces. Certain places (Yemen and Thailand come to mind) were not part of the program, but that's the risk you take when you kick the globe around in the name of world-dominating empire.

And the "ceasefire" in the Middle East? Where?

What went unmentioned, of course, is the Libyan fiasco and her possible knowledge of it -- as she gets cover from the CIA.
