Globe Taps Into My Anger

I had a lot of it (deservedly so) yesterday, and frankly I didn't want to be angry today.

So much for that:

"US, allies will beef up NATO forces" by Jim Kuhnhennand Julie Pace | Associated Press   March 27, 2014

BRUSSELS — The United States plans to join with other NATO nations in increasing ground and naval forces in Eastern Europe as part of the military alliance’s response to Russia’s incursion into Ukraine, the White House said Wednesday.

Specifics of the plan were still being finalized, including the size of the force increase. Rather than significantly boosting the US military presence in the region, the move seemed aimed instead at showing symbolic support for NATO members near Russia’s borders.

Yeah, the U.S. increasing tensions and threatening people is just symbolic nothings. I'm going to try not to swear this morning.

President Obama’s deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, said NATO was aiming to provide ‘‘a continuous presence to reassure our allies.’’ While he would not list countries to which additional resources would be sent, he noted the United States was focused on efforts to bolster Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Rhodes briefed reporters as Obama traveled to Rome from Brussels....

Thanks for helping out with the greenhouse gas problem. We will see if my jew$media reports on the Saudi swing.

In a speech, Obama declared the crisis in Ukraine a global ‘‘moment of testing.’’

Obama appealed to Europeans to retrench behind the war-won ideals of freedom and human dignity, declaring that people voicing those values will ultimately triumph in Ukraine.

Says the torturing, war-waging, mass-murdering dictator of Amerika.

I wonder what drugs they have him under for him to so casually say such things. Either that, or the guy is the most delusional person walking the planet.

Judging by his standards, AmeriKa loses this one -- as Obama pushes a NEW COLD WAR!

What an assho.... I said I wouldn't swear!

He said people born today come into a world more devoid of conflict and replete with freedom than at any time in history, even if that providence isn’t fully appreciated.

He's insane, folks, and disgustingly so.

The president also urged the 28-nation NATO alliance to make good on its commitment to the collective security that has fostered prosperity in the decades since the Cold War concluded.

For a select few; the rest of us have paid and continue to pay for all the wars based on lies, decades of them!!!!!!!!!!!

‘‘We must never forget that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom,’’ Obama said, adding that the Ukraine crisis has neither easy answers nor a military solution. ‘‘But at this moment, we must meet the challenge to our ideals, to our very international order with strength and conviction.’’

The words of ownership are very telling, aren't they?

“We have all the ingredients to make sure the 21st century is an American century, just like the 20th,” he said."

Any questions

Calm in Europe has been upended by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s foray into the Ukrainian region of Crimea.

Why Am I No Longer Reading the Newspaper?

I think so, yeah, very much so.

Defying the global community, Moscow annexed that peninsula this month, stoking fears among Russia’s other neighbors as Europe was plunged back into an East-West mentality that many had thought was left behind at the end of the last century.

Nothing about the vote to secede?

Yeah, $ome are hoping for a return to those times.

The United States already has taken some steps to bolster cooperation with NATO, including stepping up joint aviation training with Polish forces. The Pentagon also has increased American participation in NATO’s air policing mission in its Baltic countries.

If Russia were flying planes we would be told they are making aggressive moves and violating borders, blah, blah, blah.

Obama came to Europe intent on shoring up commitments from allies, but also to make a larger point about European security a quarter-century after the fall of the Iron Curtain. In a nod to the US perception that America has borne too much of the burden for NATO members’ security, Obama said he wanted to see every NATO partner ‘‘chip in’’ for mutual defense. He said members should examine their defense plans to make sure they reflect current threats.

Oh, he is absolutely unbelievable!

Btw, what did Afghanistan have to do with the Atlantic Ocean and Russian threat? All the money and lives wasted on a lie.

‘‘I have had some concerns about a diminished level of defense spending by some of our partners in NATO,’’ Obama said. ‘‘The situation in Ukraine reminds us that our freedom isn’t free.’’

Yeah, it costs a $1.05 as the Obummer PUPPET SHOW ROLLS ON, f*** yeah!

He doesn't have the same concerns here thanks to the budget deal:

"The deal buoyed Wall Street investors. Guggenheim Partners, a financial services firm, concluded that as a result overall Pentagon spending will remain relatively the same for the next several years before it begins to grow once again, at about 2.5 percent per year."

This as food stamps are slashed and unemployment checks are ended.

And oh, yeah, he wants a $1 billion bucks so Ukraine can pay bankers.

Despite the focus on NATO resources, Obama and other alliance leaders have said they do not intend for the dispute with Russia to turn into a military conflict.

But they are doing everything they can so it will!

Drawing on modern struggles, like gay rights, as well as the ethnic cleansing and world wars of a bygone era, Obama sought to draw a connection between the US experiment in democracy and the blood spilled by Europeans seeking to solidify their own right to self-determination.

Isn't that what Crimea just did?

‘‘I come here today to say we must never take for granted the progress than has been won here in Europe and advanced around the world,’’ Obama said.

OMG!

Obama’s remarks came midway through a weeklong trip to Europe and Saudi Arabia that has been dominated by efforts to coordinate the European and American response to Putin and his government’s actions in Ukraine.

In Italy, where he arrived late Wednesday, he planned to meet with Pope Francis and Italian political leaders.

Another reminder of the cost of freedom came earlier Wednesday during a solemn pilgrimage to a World War I cemetery where hundreds of fallen US troops are buried. Followed by the stirring sound of a bugler playing taps....

War worship all the way back to WWI now? Impressive reinforcement.

Time to tap my way past the death of this post.

--more--"

The blinking you can't see is in astonishment at the over-the-top war propaganda that I thought couldn't get any worse. Wow!

And then there is this invisible ink (never appeared in print) about his security detail. Par for the course for government bureaucracy and work, but watch your back, Mr. President. I may not like the pronouncements and policies; however, I'm obviously not the one needing worrying about. Lax security is a sign of something more sinister, and this is not the first such signal from the SS.

We got your back on the blogs, Mr. President, but you gotta open your eyes.

I guess I've calmed down enough for today to begin posting.
