Candy Meth

"Lawsuit says candy mistaken for meth

NEW YORK — A Brooklyn man has filed a federal lawsuit charging he was wrongly arrested by officers who confused Jolly Rancher candies with crystal meth. The Daily News reported that 25-year-old Love Olatunjiojo and a friend bought Jolly Ranchers at a Coney Island candy store last June. They were arrested a short time later by officers who searched them, found the blue and red candy, and thought it was crystal meth. Olatunjiojo is seeking unspecified monetary damages for the 24 hours or so he spent in custody."
