Slow Saturday Special: North Adams Jailbirds

"Lawyer for North Adams man wants statements tossed in triple killing

The lawyer for the second man facing trial in a Berkshire County triple killing has asked a judge to dismiss as evidence several statements made by jailhouse informants he said are “irrelevant and unduly prejudicial.” David Chalue, 47, of North Adams is scheduled to face trial April 22 in the deaths of David Glasser, Robert Chadwell, and Edward Frampton, all of Pittsfield, in 2011. The trial will be held in Hampden Superior Court because of the great amount of publicity the killings received in Berkshire County. Chalue has pleaded not guilty to three counts each of murder, kidnapping, and witness intimidation."
