"DEA chief should step down or be fired, committee chairman says" Associated Press April 14, 2015
WASHINGTON — The chairman of the House Oversight Committee called Tuesday for the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration to step down amid allegations that DEA agents attended sex parties with prostitutes while stationed overseas.
Republican Representative Jason Chaffetz of Utah said DEA chief Michele Leonhart has allowed problems at the agency to fester for more than a decade.
‘‘It’s time for her to go,’’ Chaffetz said. If Leonhart does not step down, President Obama should fire her, Chaffetz said.
Chaffetz made the comments after a 3½-hour hearing Tuesday that focused on the sex party allegations, which date back to 2001. Leonhart has led the DEA since 2007 and was sole deputy administrator for three years before.
An internal report said government money was used to pay prostitutes at a farewell party for a high-ranking DEA official in Colombia.
DEA agents also rented undercover apartments in Colombia and used them for parties with prostitutes, the DEA said in an internal report.
Your tax money hard at work -- so to speak!!
Excerpts of the report were released Tuesday by the oversight panel.

I wish I could say it was a rare occurrence, but between the drinking and porn surfing.... government work is just one big party, isn't it?
NDU:
"DEA chief to retire following report on sex scandal" by Ellen Nakashima Washington Post April 22, 2015
Oh, that will make everything okay and excuse the conduct of the last decade at least, right?
WASHINGTON — The head of the Drug Enforcement Administration is stepping down in mid-May, following revelations about “sex parties” involving prostitutes overseas and other misconduct among its agents.
Michele Leonhart, who has served at the helm of the DEA since 2007, has come under heavy criticism on Capitol Hill since an inspector general report last month documented a series of episodes in which agents hired prostitutes. Agents were also found to have had sex parties with some women hired by Colombian drug cartels.
Did they them guns in return?
Attorney General Eric Holder announced Leonhart’s pending departure in a statement Tuesday in which he noted she was the first woman at the agency to reach the rank of special agent in charge. “She was a trailblazer for equality,” he said.
Yeah, she shows women can be just as corrupt a scum as a man. Great.
Holder made no mention of the recent controversies about the DEA and said Leonhart had informed him she would be retiring.
This government and administration REALLY ARE WILLFULLY DELUSIONAL!
God help us all.
“Over the past decade, under her leadership, there have been innumerable instances of the DEA dismantling the most violent and most significant drug trafficking organizations and holding accountable the largest drug kingpins around the world,” he said.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee committee leaders called her departure appropriate in light of the scandal.
At last week’s hearing, the committee released a summary of a separate report prepared by the DEA’s Office of Professional Responsibility that found agents were having parties with prostitutes paid for by Colombian drug cartels as early as 2001.
The report described dozens of such parties at residences paid for with US government funds, Cummings said.
While this nation was neglected and led to wars based on abominable lies.
