Tumulty in New Hampshire

"A mother has been sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison for injuring her infant daughter during a physical ‘‘tug-of-war’’ confrontation with her boyfriend in 2013. Police said the month-old baby suffered broken arms, legs, and ribs as the two pulled at the child during a fight. Christine Tumulty of Newton was sentenced Tuesday on multiple counts of second-degree assault. A Division for Children, Youth and Families case worker who spoke on behalf of Tumulty said she has a close bond with her two older children. Tumulty’s lawyer asked for a suspended sentence."
