Sunday Globe Special: Colorado Chopper Crash

"The pilot of a medical helicopter that crashed in a small Colorado mountain town Friday has died, but a flight paramedic and flight nurse aboard the craft are being treated at Denver-area hospitals and are expected to survive. The fiery crash happened Friday afternoon in a parking lot next to Frisco’s St. Anthony Summit Medical Center shortly after the helicopter took off, with the chopper hitting three vehicles and sparking a large fire. The pilot has been identified as 64-year-old Patrick Mahany. The injured passengers haven’t been named. Authorities say the helicopter was not responding to a medical emergency and that no patients were aboard. Frisco is about 70 miles west of Denver, south of the Breckenridge ski area."

Been an uptick in such things so don't call a chopper if you need care.
