A mother and daughter are facing charges for fabricating a story that a baby was thrown into the Merrimack River in Haverhill on Thursday, triggering a strong response from local and state officials by land, water, and air.
Of course, if you are a leader of a nation and fabricate war lies leading to the deaths of millions and the sufferings of more.... aaaah! You are free to wander about and profit as part of the elite of society.
Holly Fowler, 42, and her daughter Kristine Fowler, 23, both of Haverhill, are each charged with misleading a police investigation and filing a false police report, according to a statement Friday from Haverhill police.
They are expected to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on Monday.
According to police, the women reported that they saw a man throw a baby into the river from the Comeau Bridge at about 7:30 p.m.
The report prompted a large response from local authorities, as well as a State Police Air Wing and dive team.
Rescuers took to the river in a raft and flashed lights on the water until the report was discovered to be a hoax. The search was called off at about 10 p.m. after police interviewed the women and discovered their claim was false.
On Thursday, Haverhill Fire Chief Jack Parow said about 20 firefighters responded to the scene at the Comeau Bridge, and all were on regular duty.
Haverhill police Captain Robert Pistone said authorities handled the situation with urgency until they were sure the report was untrue.
“It’s one of those reports you have to treat as serious unless you confirm it one way or the other,’’ Pistone said in the Friday statement.

Seems to me it is only certain chosen children that matter; otherwise, the war-promoting pre$$ would be looking at the piles of dead ones they have enabled as well as the massive amount of those dislocated who they now demand be given shelter at your expense.
