"Woman guilty in exchange student scandal" by Associated Press | February 17, 2010
SCRANTON, Pa. - Edna Burgette, 70, placed exchange students in homes around Scranton as a coordinator for the Aspect Foundation. Authorities said some of the students were malnourished and living in deplorable conditions....
Don't sugar coat it, MSM, tell us.
Not the image of Amerika they sell you, huh, immigrants?
Lackawanna County Assistant District Attorney Gene Talerico said he was pleased Burgette accepted responsibility, avoiding a trial that would have forced the students to return from their home countries to testify.
Why is she getting such sympathy?

And don't do any homework, kiddo!
PHILADELPHIA - A suburban Philadelphia school district used school-issued laptop webcams to spy on students at home, potentially catching them and their families in compromising situations, a family argues in a federal lawsuit.
Lower Merion School District officials can activate the webcams without students’ knowledge or permission, the suit said. Plaintiffs Michael and Holly Robbins suspect the cameras captured students and family members as they undressed and in other embarrassing situations, according to the suit.
Tom Halperin, 15, a sophomore from Wynnewood, Pa., said students are “pretty disgusted’’ and have started putting masking tape over their computer webcams and microphones.
Who said Amurkn kids were stoo-pid!!!
The accusations amount to potentially illegal electronic wiretapping, said Witold J. Walczak, American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania director.
More dough for you to fork over, taxpayers.
Translation: they do and did.
